I picked the heritage paddock boot. I work at a therapeutic/hippo therapy facility which I walk 7 miles. My boots have been so comfortable and have lasted many years.

Comfortable
Great fit for narrow low Arched feet. Quite stiff in the beginning but they broke in really well and I literally dont want to take them off!

Disappointing
I have been wearing Ariat boots for many years, but have opted to return these. The leather is not of the same quality as previous pairs. Also, they did not feel comfortable right out of the box. The leather felt thin and was kind of crushed around the heel. Really bummed about this because the options are limited.

Comfortable out of the box!
No break-in time needed. Comfortable right out of the box. Also, am very happy with the zipper. Have had lace-up paddock boots for years and years because other riders whose riding boots have zippers often got stuck or broken at the most inopportune times. So, my riding boots are pull-on and paddocks were lace. But, the laces were forever coming loose. That can be dangerous! So, finally made the switch and am very happy. Ariats are the best.. Good quality that lasts for years even with everyday use.

Very Pleasantly Surprised!
My washable Ariat boots have lost their tread after 2 years. I've loved these paddock boots. Since the treads are the same (hoping they will upgrade to the newer treads someday), I wanted something a little grippier, like my tall boots. I bought the Heritage IV boots and they are much better than I anticipated. The treads are great but what I didn't expect was the extra cushion throughout including behind the zipper. They have a really nice foot bed. No time to break in (no blisters!) although a little stiff which is to be expected. A really nice value.

Saved my big toe
I did find these boots quite stiff at the start but was very grateful for their rigidity when a piece of farm machinery detached from a tractor and fell on my foot. Lucky I was wearing these boots, because I could have easily amputated my left big toe. The seams went after 2 years but these are great boots. I’ll buy the latest version, even if a bit more expensive. #thxAriat

Crazy comfortable plus gorgeous
I know I liked the ways these looked but I had no idea how comfortable they would be. I get complements on them dressed up and dressed down. They can be paired with a dress or worn at the camp and not look out of place. The zipper beautiful and helps those like myself with high insteps. I couldn’t recommend this boot enough

Great boot
I’ve had these since June and I wear them twice or more a week. So far they’ve held up great. They’re true to size and comfortable. I would recommend these for sure - no complaints so far!

Only boot that works for me!
I've had these boots for 3+ years and they are my go-to boots for everything on my ranch. But they are finally wearing out. I can feel every rock through the soles and my little toe shows through the top where I've scuffed them too often. Help, I need another pair ASAP! A size 9 wide.
I would rate five stars if not for the wait list! Why is there a wait list? You have a good product, so please keep making lots of them!
I look forward to getting my next pair soon. Thank you

My Favorite!
I’ve worn this boot for years. Both for work and to the barn. I love their design. They’ve always worn well lasting about one year. I’m hard on boots. I have wide feet with a high instep and they’ve worked well for me.

Well made
I bought this a month ago, and they are sturdy and well-made. They are a little stiff when you first them, and you have to break them in a bit, but otherwise very nice.

Poor design
First of all I have always bought Ariats and loved them for the comfort and durability. However I think the design of these is a bad idea. Zipper in the front makes for a very uncomfortable wear. especially if you have a high instep. I’ve had them less than two months and the zipper on the right boot has broken already.

Good looking boot
This boot is very smart looking and supportive. It supports my feet, legs and back. It is, however, very snug over the instep making it a bit of a challenge to zip up. Don’t wear socks that are really thick.

Comfortable fit, but not practical for everyday
I bought these boots over the summer, and being a horse professional, I wore them almost every day for work. They were comfortable and great to ride in, but after only a few months, the leather began cracking and large chunks came off. I was incredibly disappointed, being a long time Ariat lover, and my last pair of Ariat paddock boots had lasted almost five years. I contacted Smartpak and their customer service is so great, they offered to replace them. I opted to just return them and just got the Ariat Nitro, which are waterproof. My recommendation is to pay for the higher quality if you plan on wearing these boots regularly.

easy to break in and start riding in
I bought these while traveling and had an opportunity to ride but didn't have my boots. They were easy to just zip on and go. They didn't require a long break in time or anything.

On the narrow side
I really love Ariat boots, been wearing them for many years. But, these were too narrow for me, and I returned them. I wear a size 5- 5.5 and unfortunately Ariat doesn’t make a wide until size 6 which is too long. I feel that Ariat makes all of their paddock boots more narrow than what they used to. And
they don’t have as much arch support either. Disappointing because I really wanted these to fit.

Super comfy!
I live, breath, and ride Ariat! These paddock boots are super comfy right out of the box and are a great fit. I love to wear these to school as well! They are a perfect all around boot.

Comfy and near perfect!
I bought these boots a month ago for my fifth grader who has been riding for several years. She instantly loved the heel height and the look of the boot. The only problem we experience was at the zipper can be a little tough to pull up and push down. We remedy this with a little WD-40. Otherwise, she is a happy horse rider! ( I should add that when we receive these boots they were a little small. We got a size up and this company was terrific with the return and the re-shipment of the new size. No questions and pretty quick service!)

They're Comfy and They Last
These boots are comfortable for riding or walking around town, have decent ankle and arch support, and are made to last. I wish Ariat would make the brown available in wide widths, however.

Sturdy Paddock Boot
I put off replacing my old Ariats, and finally bit the bullet. This is a sturdy, workman-like boot that is good for schooling/hacking out. I do miss the supplemess and the detailing of my old paddock boots. However, Ariats are my go-to riding boot and these live up to most expectations. I wish they were more supple, but they may flex more with time.

Great looking and comfortable
I love these boots.I’m on my fourth pair over years of use.I’m extremely tough on them, but they last a long time. The zippers in other items I wear are usually the first to go,but these boots, through thick mud, snow, etc. are always easy to pull up. I’m also bad at wearing down heels and tread, but these last till the leather wears through. I wish they were a little less expensive, but I have to admit, they are well worth the money.

Decent cheap boot, not great for all day wear
I've had different Ariat paddock boots over the years, so tried out the Heritage 4 this time. On the positive side, the price is good and the boot fits true to size like most Ariat boots. In comparison to the Heritage 3 as well as more costly models, it is rather uncomfortable though for all day wear. I practically live in these boots and after giving this a good try for about 6 months or so, I'm desperate for an upgrade. They are ok (though not great) in the saddle but teaching in them even just one lesson is pretty uncomfortable/causes lower back pain. And I don't have lower back problems and have taught all day clinics in other Ariat models without issues. So yes, it's an economical, ok boot, but if you're looking for comfort and support, you may need to upgrade.
