Ok boots
I’ve had theses boots for about a month now and I absolutely love them, however they squeak horribly when I walk in them. It has gotten to the point that I don’t want to wear them because the squeak is so bad.

Great for riding...and more!
I took these boots all over Italy as my touring boot to wear with tights and leggings. I felt appropriately dressed everywhere I went and they were comfortable for all of the epic walking we were doing!
The fit is spot-on, they are easy to take care of by simply wiping them clean and occasionally polishing them, and they are easy to pull on and take off thanks to the zip front. LOVE!

Disappointed because they SQUEAK!!!
I bought these in the spring of 2021 for wearing outdoors on dry ground and for indoor office attire. While they are remarkably comfortable and stylish, they noticeably squeak with every step! When outside it is not noticeable but in the office, everyone can hear me coming. I have tried various high-end leather products without success. Because I do not wear them often, they remain in great condition. I have worn the basic Heritage style for years and will probably return to that model in the future.

Very Comfortable but did not hold up
I LOVE all Ariat products. These boots are sooo comfortable but sadly I returned them to Dover as they ripped on the toe seam after 6 months. I think these are more comfortable than the Heritage so I am still considering buying them again!

Some good features, but not perfect
I've only worn these a couple of times, because they gave me a painful blister (first I've ever gotten from probably 10+ pairs of Ariat boots in all different models). They are much stiffer than any other Ariat paddock boots I've worn. All my others were great right out of the box. I will try again when the weather cools down a bit. I'm fairly sure they'll be great for riding, but my horsey life at the moment involves a lot of time and mileage on my feet. I bought them in part because of shipping delays on a different style, and in part because I struggle with plantar fasciitis, and the heel support in these seemed especially good. I hope and expect that they'll turn out to be supportive and comfortable once I get them broken in, but I will have to invest in blister bandages and stiffen my upper lip until then.

Same issue/generic unhelpful response
I’ve had the same exact experience as most reviewers here: seam ripping at toe after roughly 6-8 months, the edge of the inside sole uneven and the foot sliding there as the leather gives away. But what is with the same generic utterly unhelpful replies from Ariat on each of the reviews??? Not even a hint of “we hear you and are trying to improve” in any way shape or form. I’ve worn Ariats for about 10 years and the quality is seriously worse than any other brand now. I won’t buy anymore until and if Ariat makes some kind of statement about the decline in this product and improves it. C’mon… where is your customer service?

Ariat Nitro Boots
I bought this boot to give my foot more support as I work around the barn all day. It fits wonderfully and I’m able to put my doctor prescribed clinically made orthotics inside the boot.

Would have been nice
I had these less than a year and then the toe started to cave in and cut into my foot. I miss the quality that Ariat used to have.

Ariat missed the mark!
I had my previous pair of paddock boots for over FIVE YEARS! Wow! I do not ride in them, but they are my go-to boots for the barn. I purchased a new pair in the spring of 2019 thinking that my five year pair had to be near the end. I wore those suckers until the winter of 2020! Finally calling it quits I got out my new chocolate brown pair I’d kept stored in the box they came in. From the get go, the ankle support was not quite right. My feet typically pronate and these boots cause them to supinate. This also leads to rolled ankles and rubs on the tops of my toes. The stitching has also come unraveled on the toe caps. The stitching never unraveled on my old pair. The poor leather eventually cracked on the old pair which is to be expected after that many years of use. Something is not right with these boots and I’m totally bummed. I contacted Ariat directly and they simply thanked me for the feedback. Either they made a big bad batch of these boots or something has changed. Conflicted on what paddock boots to now buy to replace these! I would NOT recommend these at this time.

Will not hold up
I have had my Ariat paddock boots consistently last years in the past. I previously loved the footbed of this boot, so supportive. Unfortunately this pair cause my feet to roll outwards causing pressure and rubs on my pinky toes. The seams are ripping at the toes.

Ripped at the seems, disappointing.
I had the boots 6 months and they ripped at the seem where the toes are. I only use the boots twice a week for a few hours so it was really disappointing.

Not the Quality they were
I bought a pair of the new Nitro boots a year ago and they are wrecked all the seams have gone on both boots over the toes and the uppers have come away from the soles, gutted they are very expensive I do no yard work in them only ride and walk, the quality of these boots are no where near what they used to be, I will not be buying another pair as I see there are many reviews her with similar stories - which is a huge shame as over the years I have had several pairs but they have always lasted 2/3 years +

Worst boots ever
I bought my boots in december 2020 so 4 months ago and the thread of the seam has torn on the top of my boots. It's a shame because they are very comfortable. My shoemaker can't do anything because it's too thin

progressively downhill - too bad
I bought my first Ariat Devon boots way back when they first came out - AMAZING. Every time I bought them again over the next decade they were worse; not as well made, not as supportive. Now I have to find another brand. Unfortunately they went the same way as many other companies and ruined a good quality product for a cheaper version while charging more.

Ok
I bought these boots about 2 years ago - sounds like they’ve lasted however I have literally only rode in them. Don’t wear them to get horses in from the field, muck out or even tack up. They are literally just put on before I get on and i’m not riding multiple horses every day.
They are now starting to split and leather is wearing away. Compared to other boots I’ve had the sole has lasted pretty well tho.
For the money and the amount of wear mine have had I’d be reluctant to buy another pair.

Impossible to break in, blisters every time
No matter what I do, these boots give me blisters. The leather in the heel is impossibly stiff no matter what I do (leather conditioner, stretching). I had the oven up paddock boots for years and thought the zipper would be an easier upgrade, but I can’t make a full ride without getting blisters. So disappointing.

Don't last
My first pair only lasted two months they started falling apart, went through warranty and got a new pair and in two months falling apart again. My Danher lasted 16-24 months and my Devon Pros lasted a year to 14. That is all day everyday wear and tear.

Very poor quality
I feel better now after seeing other negative reviews of Ariat nitro paddock boots. I bought these over the summer at the Smartpak store in Natick, which I love. Pretty pricey for a pair of paddock boots, and the heel is ugly, but I needed a pair after I couldn't keep repairing my previous pair. I'm an adult, I rarely muck stalls, only wear these when I'm riding or at the barn, which isn't even every day. The stitching on the toe box is already falling apart so much that I can slide fingers in. Pretty sure this is my last pair of Ariat boots. For this price point we should expect a longer life span than a few months.

Worst shoe I ever purchased
This shoe tore up my feet and back when I wore them. I bought this pair in Aug and wore them only 2-3 hours per day. By Oct the show was wore out land leaking. I miss the good shoes this company use to make.

Ariat boots, not what they used to be!
I am so incredibly sad to write this review. I bought my first pair of Ariat boots about 22 years ago. It seemed like my first pair lasted forever, years and years. I loved the comfort and support as well. Once my first pair finally wore out, I of course bought new Ariat boots. Each pair lasted a shorter and shorter time. Within the last 2 years, I purchased a pair of Nitros thinking ok I'll buy the most expensive pair and see if they are a better quality. That did not work at all, they only held up 6 months. I followed up with a second pair, cheaper, again only lasted 5 months. I wear these boots all day and I have started having all sorts of problems with my feet now which I never experienced before. I have actually started asking my barn friends, hey where else can I find paddock boots that are the same quality as the OLD style Ariat boots. I am so sad because I love Ariat! I still love the Ariat softshell jackets, PLEASE do not change them and bring back the quality of the boots. I would gladly pay more for the old quality.

Lack of Foot/Ankle Support
I bought these boots roughly a year ago. They are beautiful and I get lots of compliments on them. However about 6 months ago I started having a great deal of ankle pain when I wear them, and realized there is a significant lack of support/stability for my feet & ankles - they tend to "wobble" as I walk in these boots. I had previously bought Devons and loved them, they lasted at least three years - I will try those again.

Quaility is poor, not like old Ariats
I WAS a big fan of Ariat boots, always bought them, until now. The entire heal came off, just unglued. I rode in them about 2 times a week for 11 months,, this should not happen. I called Ariat, sent picture, etc, and they did nothing. The customer service just blew me off,, really bad. I am done with Ariat.

stiff and uncomfortable
These are actually my first pair of paddock boots and I'm finding them extremely stiff and uncomfortable. I had them professionally fitted and the top edge of the boot whether zipped up or even left half undone still rubs harshly on my leg causing blisters. I've tried wearing thicker sock even over the top edge and still these boots just seem to have zero give.
