Most Comfortable Boot EVER
Bought these for winter riding in the NE, ordered 1/2 size up so heavy wool socks could be used. Could NOT be happier, never had a pair of tall boots that felt like slippers but these are it. Handle the snow and ice with ease, warm feet and perfect fit. Wish I could wear them all year! Pricy sure but well worth it!

Needs longer zipper
I would have rated the boots as a 5, but putting them on is very difficult for anyone with high arches and insteps. I almost returned them because I'll be unable to wear thick socks. My foot won't go into the boots with thick socks. However, I decided to keep them and wear them with thinner wool socks. Others have commented on the problem.

Beyond my expectations!
Coniston Pro GORE-TEX Insulated Boot is by far the best design Ariat has developed in winter boots. I have worn every English boot they’ve made: paddock boots, trail boots, tall dress boots, insulated and non-insulated. The sizing is true to Ariat’s dependable manufacturing. The calf and height measurements are exactly as stated. I like the 17” height, as my tall riding boots tended to be too “dramatic” at 18.5”. The fit is perfect from the minute you put them on and no need to “break them in.” The leather is soft and supple, the zipper worked fine, and love those elastic shoe laces…they even include an extra pair! The insulation is warm, but wear your usual wool socks to keep your toes warm. The waterproof foot bed extends up the shaft and has a handy loop to make sure your foot is properly seated in the boot. The construction of the tongue and lacing is sheer genius. Perfect for trudging through deep snow. The foot and arch support is what I expect from Ariat: no issues with plantar fasciitis, no matter how far you have to chase them through the fields. I’ll confess I bought these boots to wear this winter with leggings around town and to work. They are very stylish, and will easily go from town to barn to saddle. If they come out with a similar spring/fall boot without the insulation, that’s intended for knee-deep mud, I’m buying it!

Nice looking boots!! Need to have more insulation!
Very good fit and feel and stability when riding. I have 15” calves and they fit perfectly. Zero break in time. So far they have proven to be water proof but they are not as warm as I was hoping. In 20 degrees my toes were cold. Tried two pair of socks and that didn’t work either. I’m diabetic and really need warm boots. These are almost perfect but they need more insulation. I have been using them daily for a month now.

Almost perfect boots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outstanding fit and construction. My only hesitation about giving a 5 star is the zipper. It consistently hangs up on the interior waterproof tab at the bottom 1/4th of the zipper. Once on, they are fabulous. This is a construction flaw.

Beautiful and Rugged!

Decided on my true size and they are perfect. I've worn them almost every day since I got them, and the one day I didn't I sure wished I had. They are comfortable and warm without being bulky. Have the perfect amount of traction for the stirrup or the icy pavement. They are rugged enough for trail riding and cool enough for the shopping trip to the city. Super quality.

Boots are almost perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these boots they are warm, attractive and well made. The fit is great once you get them on. I wanted to give them a 5 star review except the zipper doesn't go down far enough on the heel so to get my foot into the boot I have to undo the laces each time. I had another pair of Ariat insulated boots with laces that had a zipper placed lower on the heel and they were perfect. I would have bought another pair exactly like them except Ariat doesn't make them anymore. If you have the same issue, please write to Ariat and ask them for a change to this style so they are perfect:-)

Durable, Comfortable & Good Looking

Amazing Boots!!

Great Product
Gore-tex is a great weather resistant brand that keeps your socks and feet insulated and dry in any weather condition. What worked for me is the insulation it gave my feet and the comfort was there. The only thing is the boot is a bit tall for my leg but other than that I would recommend the product to anyone looking for a weather resistant and full insulated boot this is your product. Overall the product is great.

Great but not for wider calf
I bought those because the laces deceptively made me think they’d fit around a size 17 inch calf. The tongue is so narrow that there is still a little skin showing through. Thank God they included laces that are not elastic so I can tighten them and break them in around the house. OR go to Tandy leather and rig up an “extension” tongue so my skin isn’t punched.
The rest of the boot is great and more for riding. I didn’t want to wear my chaps all the time and like another said the arch support is odd. But I plan to spend more time in the saddle than hiking.

Comfortable and Warm
These are the first ever “English” boots I’ve bought to wear in the fall when you just need a tall waterproof and insulated boot. Not only are they super comfortable, but they keep your feet warm! But not overly warm to where it’s too hot. I recommend these to anyone who likes a tall boot you can just zip up and not worry with laces every time you put them on.

The Warmest Boot
I can't say enough great things about this boot. I have been searching for a boot that I can ride multiple horses a day in that would hold up to that and are warm and comfortable. These boots check those boxes and more. I also love these boots because I ride with relatively narrow stirrups, and I am able to take my feet out of my stirrups with ease in these boots as the toe is not very bulky unlike most winter riding boots. Living in Massachusetts and having a busy schedule, I can usually only get to the barn in the morning when the temperature is in the teens and it used to be hard to motivate myself to get to the barn and ride. Now that I have these boots it's easy to motivate myself to go ride even in the cold weather. As we all know, even when it really is just too cold to ride, barn chores still need to be done no matter what the temperature is and chores are a breeze when wearing these boots as they are so comfortable, warm, and waterproof. They really make turning horses out on a cold, snowy day much easier to do. I typically teeter between a 8.5 and 9 in shoes, and I went with a 9 in these boots. I definitely have a little wiggle room, which is great because I am able to add a thick pair of socks with them (not that it's totally necessary). I have a slim calf and was initially worried about the boots being too wide and feeling bulky. However, the laces up the boot allow for complete adjustability to either slim the calf or make it wider. If you are looking for a comfortable, durable, and most importantly warm boot for both on and off the saddle, these are what you need!

My first pair are about 3yrs old, still waterproof & comfortable for all day wear working at my boarding facility and riding! My second pair I now keep super clean and wear as “dress up boots”! ;). Insulated, adjustable, & amazing!
I’m in love with these boots! They are so comfortable, the break in period was only about a week and they felt nice on the first wear even. I love how adjustable they are for winter riding pants. They keep my feet nice & warm but I would say once temps get into the single digits that’s when you need to layer up on the socks. So far I haven’t gotten any water, mud, or snow in them. They look great & I’ve gotten so many compliments with them. I’m so happy with these!
