Died half way through a trace clip
I got half way through a trace clip before these clippers just wouldn’t cut the hair anymore. Clean, bathed, dry horse, cool lube and they still wouldn’t clip. Tried again the next day to see if they just needed to cool off and they still wouldn’t cut.

Overheated after 2 minuets of use.
I have previously have owned a pair of Andis 2 speed clippers but they were getting to be 3 years old and I could feel the motor on them was starting to slow so I decided it was time to purchase new ones. I ordered the same ones as I had as they worked very well for me in the past, however I used them a few days ago to clip my horses legs by the time I have one done the blades were too hot to touch! My horses legs where clean and I was using the Andis brand Cool Lube that I had ordered with them. Very disappointed as my old pair was amazing and lasted me for a very long time. I am not sure if this pair just has a malfunction but I won't be able to use this pair again as they get hot far too quickly.

Stopped working after 3 body clips.
I bought these clippers on sale in 2017. Never used until this year. I did a full clip on my mini, then a touch up. The clippers were struggling even with using Andis clipper care so I bought a new blade. Went to clip my horse and did not even get halfway through (thankfully we aren’t going anywhere!) He’d had a bath beforehand and was fully dried. I replaced the drive housing too...still won’t cut. Very disappointed as these were an investment.

Cushings Pony Fully Clipped!
My pony is nearly 35 and now has Cushings so her coat has gotten long, thick, and curly. I've never had to clip her before, but knew I needed to in order to keep her comfortable since she no longer sheds out. It took about 2.5 hours, but I was able to do a full body clip - the blade had some trouble getting through her coat at times (I did thoroughly groom her first) and I had to use very short strokes, but eventually it did the job. Every 10 or so minutes, the blade would get warm enough that I'd have to switch it out - luckily I bought an additional 84 blade for this purpose. I'll likely go back and reclip her for cosmetic consistency, but for now she's a happy camper.

I have two pairs of these clippers and both stopped clipping through my horses' hair. I have taken proper care of them and replaced parts when necessary. They worked great at first but after time the motor began to give out. After about 3 or 4 full body clips they started slowing down. Now they won't even clip through a slick, clean horse. This was after replacing the blade drive and a new T-84 blade. Avoid buying these clippers if you intend on using them for multiple body clippings. Would definitely go with the Wahl KM10 clippers, the motor is much more powerful.

Quiet and powerful clippers
My Hanoverian has a thick coat and these clippers were amazing. I've had Osters 2 speeds and the Andis were way better. These are quiet, stay cooled for a long time and didn't clog up with hair as fast as with other clippers. My mare fell asleep while we were clipping her.
My friend, who never clipped a horse before, did the most perfect trace clip on my horse easily and quickly, about an hour. Never had a problem with over heating, clogging, clipper lines or any problems listed by the 1-2 star reviews. I was able to get them back in their case so no problem with the cord.
These are prices just right and even tough these are the 300-400 Listers, they work just as hard and quickly.

So far so good....
I bought these clippers for my first attempt at body clipping my new mare, and I was not disappointed. I bought these on Black Friday with a great discount, along with the cooling spray, and the blade that it comes with (84) seemed to do a great job on her moderately thick coat. It took me about 2 hours total to clip her completely with these, they seemed decently powerful and they were so quiet she actually fell asleep while I clipped her. (When I got to her ears however, that was another story!) The ONLY thing I worry about with these is how long the blade will last....it seemed to dull quite a bit by the time I was done clipping her, so I'm not sure if I'll need to purchase another blade before body clipping her again.

Great clippers
Bought this clipper 2 years ago and have been very happy with the body clips i get with it. It can get a little warm but a quick spray of cooler, lubricant and cleaning spray fixes that. Only problem I have is the foam insert under the removable plastic cover, to were you can grease it, the foam came unglued and because of that I have to remove the cover and remove hair constantly to keep it running properly. With taking the cover on and off the clips that hold it have worn and i need a new cover. Hopefully i can get a replacement cover.
Overall my clients, the horses and myself all greatly like the clips i give and i believe the start of that is a good clipper. I have been through 4 clippers and this one is easily my favorite.

Amazing Motor
My aunt bought one to clip my grandparents pony that has VERY course and wooly hair. She’s a Shetland that has Cushings which makes the hair a bit thicker. But these clippers did amazing! Clipped right down to the skin and made a nice sleek look afterwards! And you can’t beat the price for the clippers and the outstanding job they did. I will definitely be buying a pair for my own thoroughbred:)

Perfect for my Purposes
These Andis clippers, bought for a new horse, were my introduction to clipping, since my other horse has a silky coat that does not require clipping. I clipped the horse’s legs, which were quite shaggy, but did not do a body clip. The clippers are pretty quiet, the cord is a good length, The clippers are surprisingly easy to manipulate and the result looked professional, despite my lack of previous experience. In short, these clippers are perfect for my purposes.
One reservation: Although I found the blade difficult to remove for cleaning,I assume it will free up with repeated use.

Small but mighty!
I have used Oster clippers for years and have been sorely disappointed in my last 2 (expensive) purchases. I decided to move on to a new brand and I’m never going to look back. These little clippers cut through thick pony hair with ease. They’re super light too. I’m totally sold on Andis clippers now and oddly enough I’m not dreading the next time I have to clip our old man. He has cushings so I won’t have to wait long.

Amazing clippers!
These clippers are fantastic! I used them to roach my horse's mane, which normally takes me multiple sessions with my Wahl Show Pros. With these I was done in less than 10 minutes. Really nice quality and super long cord. Great buy!

Great pair of clippers!
I purchased these clippers a month ago to body clip my daughter’s pony. They worked great! He does not grow a very heavy coat, so it only took a couple hours for the entire job. Light-weight, maneuverable, and quiet operation. Highly recommend!

These clippers are fantastic!
Light, quiet, get a little hot after being used for a long time, but use with the cooling spray this helps, and you can change the blade frequently

Perfect for a One-Horse Owner.
I was hesitant to purchase my own body clippers because I only do a trace clip once a year and it was cheaper to pay someone to do it. Then I found the reviews on this pair of clippers and I'm glad I did. Using these just twice has had them pay for themselves. They're quiet, easy to use, and very forgiving when it comes to lines.

Very quiet, and light weight.
I own a professional equine clipping business and purchased these clippers to service my clients horses. They are very quiet and light weight, great for face ears bridle path etc but I did find them to be slow to clip large body areas. Thick clean winter hair it took alot to get it to clip without taking multiple strokes over and over the same area till thinned and shaved. I switched to my large Oster body clippers (the loud ones) because it took a quarter of the time to complete the body, then I used my andis for head, some leg clipping, sheath area, bridle path and tight areas. A good pre show clipper but isn't as powerful or quick as I was expecting. Buy for touch ups not full body work.

Quiet clippers.
These were the first clippers that I've owned and the first time that I've clipped my horse. Usually have someone else do it. The AGC Super 2 speed clipper was quiet and did a wonderful job at first, but they clogged up quickly and then of course didn't cut. I guess you need someway to keep the blades clean other than just blowing on them. Actually the Tackmate clipper did a better job, they never clogged up. However the blade was too small and didn't leave as clean of a clip.

Worked as expected, but...
I love how light and quiet these clippers were to use. My horse literally fell asleep while I gave him a blanket clip. But I have serious considerations on how long they will last. I had an Oster for years (it was a heavy duty beast) but I was swayed by the price, reviews and someone at the barn body clipped her horse using these. Once the clippers come out of their storage container, give up any thoughts of folding up the cord and putting them back in the container. It just won't back in again. I think these are great clippers for legs, bridle path and whiskers and yes, they did a pretty good job on the blanket clip. But in hindsight I should have ponied up for a heavier duty clipper. I just don't think these will last more than a few seasons. They just aren't heavy duty enough.

They don’t work
I wasted a freshly bathed horse and 2 hours of sleep only to discover that these clippers are defective. They turn on, the blades are moving, but they aren’t cutting the hair. I tried popping the blade on and off several times to make sure it was seated properly. I suspect the blade assembly might be bad but I don’t have the right screwdriver to get in and check. I am beyond cranky that these BRAND NEW pre-assembled clippers don’t work out of the box.

Quick and Quiet
Bought these for general trimming and occasional trace clipping. Was not sure about having a cord but these have a fairly long cord really pretty unnoticeable. Found these clippers to be very user friendly and at a great price point for trimming and clipping. Love that they come in a bright green-no question that they are mine.

Perfect for trace clipping!
I trace clipped my horse for the first time (for both of us!) and was very pleased. The clippers were quiet for how powerful they were. I waited too long to clip her for the first time this year, but they still handled her somewhat dirty, long coat with ease. The clippers are easy to clean and do not heat too quickly. I was concerned about having corded clippers, however the cord is long and easy to keep out of the way. Definitely recommend these clippers for touch ups or for someone who only has a few horses to clip.
