Nice to look at
These boots are so nice to look at and cover the leg well, but if you live in the southern states and need them to last more than 3 months don't bother. The plastic ribbing that hold the boots in place cracks and comes out of the bottom seems after a couple months. My horse is not hard on things and this is my second pair. I thought they looked so good I'd give it one more shot, but that won't be happening again.

They stay on!
I bought these for my sensitive warmblood gelding who hates flies. He loves them! They stay up and the Velcro doesn't come open. I noticed that 1 boot the binding is starting to come undone that holds the stiffening plastic, the other 3 are holding well. I wish things for horses were better constructed to last longer.

Not good
My horse has major allergy issues so I am always buying fly products. I have had these on him about two weeks and they have almost no form to them anymore. The velcro is extremely strong, but the flaps are starting to come apart. I had to buy another brand in order for him to get better coverage on his legs.

They Stay Up
I got these because my horse was losing his mind stomping and kicking at flies in his stall. The plastic spine along the back does help them stay up and keep their shape. Once you figure out how tight to get them on they dont move around too much. They will twist slightly but because of their shape they wont spin. They seem a light enough material that his legs dont get too hot either. I dont turn him out in them because I dont trust him to not rip them off or get them twisted with the plastic spine digging into his leg. But that's more of Louie problem.

Decent
I’ve literally ordered every pair of fly boots that Smartpak sells.
These are decent- but the plastic that’s sewn in to hold them upright will pop out through the bottom- irritating your horses foot.
Also I find I have to overlap the Velcro quite a bit on my stoutly built 15.1 hh QH

Great for a month
I bought these in March 2019 and they were great. They protected from flies and held shape nicely. My horse does not wear them 24/7 (they come off on rainy days and he is stalled at night). After about a month they began slouching and rubbing him badly as the plastic support became warped.

Meh...
My OTTB had them on for a week before they wouldn't stay up any more. they are a bit heavier than most fly boots and I think they made him sweat because he rubbed his legs a bunch which didn't help with them falling down.

Fronts are great, backs are terrible
I like how the front boots fit, despite that they rotate. As long as you check them they're fine - haven't slouched, haven't caused rubs despite him wearing them everyday. However, within one use the back boots completely collapsed and began slipping off his legs. No matter how I secure them the wire doesn't hold up and they slip. I kept them because I like the front boots, but unfortunately he's had to go without backs for now.

Best fly boot I've used!
I bought this product roughly 2 months ago, and they are the best fly boot I have tried.
My boy is highly sensitive to bugs and they will cause small open bleeding wounds on his legs and belly. These boots hardly slide (if you know how to put boots on), hardly twist as well (again if you know how to securely put them on). They have like a spine that keeps them upright/stable and helps mold to the horses unique leg shape.
The velcro straps for my gelding has a decent amount of excess when I get them secure (nothing electrical tape cant fix to secure them more) but I havent and they have held for all day turn out.
He is a dark bay and his legs havent been hot/sweaty either. No rubs or sores.

They slouch and rub
I have a Rambo fly mask and an amigo fly sheet that I adore so I thought these would be great. My horse wore them only a day before she was rubbed. I readjusted them to try for another day with her wearing them. When I came back to the barn they were twisted and another leg had been rubbed. Such a bummer. I love the material of them but they are not working. I'll stick with Kensington fly boots.

Well fitting and secure
These fly boots hold their shape and stay up well. They can stay on for extended periods of time without irritating the legs and hold up well in the washer.

Better than expected!
Based on the reviews I didn’t expect to have these forever. I’ve had them on my young mare for a month and the worst that’s happened is one of the back bones started to come out. She has little legs so it’s not really necessary anyways. They look super cute and the Velcro is holding up really well. They also don’t make her legs sweat. If you’re on the fence, I would make the leap!

Fell apart
These boots fell apart in less than a month, and they began to slouch at day 1. The last pair I had lasted 3 seasons. Fortunately, Smartpak offered a full refund.

Very nice looking!
You can’t beat the price on these and they look great. They’re very breathable. The full size boots fit my Thoroughbred amazingly in the front but are kind of big in the back and they have gotten a little distorted in the back from slouching down. Keep that in mind.

Amigo Fly boots
I ordered 2 pair for my two smaller quarter horses. The sizing runs big in my opinion. I ordered two horse size. I kept one and exchanged the other for a Cob size. Should have sent them both back. I have them cinched up as far as they will go and have to rearrange them nightly on the horse size. She has destroyed the bottoms of the boots due to falling down. Hopefully the cob size will work better on my other mare.

Nice fly boots
Purchased after seeing how a friend's worked for her. These boots have some nice features such as a more contoured fit, really strong velcro, and plastic stays in the back so they stand up better without too much scrunching down. The cob size fits my girl's 15h well boned legs very well, I don't notice a lot of sand or debris getting in the boots and because the bugs can't get to her skin to bite her, she is stomping a lot less. I am using them in FL and will say they do hold a bit of heat, my mare is stocking up a bit during the day wearing these, so there are some tradeoffs. I try to readjust them at least daily on her legs, they don't rub but sometimes shift around if she is particularly active in her field. She has worn them through rain storms and they dry pretty quickly on her legs, so I am not too too worried about rain rot or cannon crud with them.

Good
I bought these a month ago, and so far it seems sturdy and fits my horse well, but I haven't gotten a chance to try it for long periods of time. Much cheaper and just as nice as other boots.

Perfect
I bought these for my Warmblood mare. She had developed a bad case of photodermatitis on her back legs. These are perfect. They fit even her huge legs, are snug but not constricting, and seem to stay in place. Along with other treatments her dermatitis is healing wonderfully. I was worried they may not cover her pasturns but they do. Good buy.

Quality!
I'm really happy with these. They went on clearance and I just had to try them for my mares. The netting is over a lightweight foam material that the horses can not feel through. The Velcro is very wide and has easy pull tabs. The backs have a binding strip all the way up, keeping them upright. The cob size was perfect for my pony and small horse.

Good boots for a fantastic price
My horse is always rough on fly boots and these seem to hold up well. I like the fact that they are a little padded to protect his legs from small flys, sticks and thorns; however the thicker boots mean they stay wet for much longer than the plastic coated boots. They were a fantastic, unheard of price ($5 for a set of 4) so honestly I wouldn't care if they only lasted a week.

Soft, comfortable, fit well
Very soft material. Don't know how durable they will be, but I got them on such a great sale, I won't mind if they don't last long. Fit my horse perfectly. Front and back don't really look too much different. But I'm hoping they will make some difference.
