It features a high neck design that not only gives your horse more protection from wind, rain, and cold, but it also offers a great fit for horses with high withers. Adding to the fabulous fit is the V-front closure, which reduces pressure across the shoulders and is ideal for preventing rubs. Of course, the same fabulous 1200 denier polyester from the rest of the Amigo® Bravo 12 line is still both waterproof and breathable to keep your horse warm, dry, and comfortable. Plus, the shine-enhancing lining will keep your horse’s coat looking great. It also has reflective strips for added visibility in low light. Additionally, front and rear leg arches offer extra freedom of movement. Last but not least, a tail flap provides additional protection from the elements while three cross-belly surcingles and a tail cord keep this blanket securely in place.

Perfect fit
This is the best fitting heavy weight blanket I have ever ordered for my thoroughbred gelding. The cross straps allow for his wide chest and are not constantly strained.
The 3 belly surcingles also make for a very good fit.

Has serious safety issues
There is no place to add leg straps. The blanket correctly fitted has now blown over my geldings head twice. The tail cord isn’t enough. There is no place to add your own leg straps. I mean it’s pretty durable, no damage either time. This has spooked me from putting it on him. When I was using it, it was very waterproof and breathable. Sizing is good length wise, doesn’t have enough drop for big Warmbloods.

No Rubs!
I had always bought blankets that were specifically made for Arabians, but my gelding would still get shoulder rubs every year. Finally sprung for new blankets and this one causes no rubs, keeps more dirt off his belly, and he can’t snap open the front! Bought it in multiple weights now so I can use them all winter.

Great fit and quality
Worth every penny, even when not on sale. This sheet fits my OTTB so well -- he's able to graze without pulling the chest part down, it doesn't rub his shoulders, and the high neck gives him higher coverage without pressure on his withers. It holds its shape beautifully, and when I took it off after he'd been out in the rain, he was completely dry underneath. Only thing is I wish it had leg straps instead of a tail cord, but that's hardly a dealbreaker. My horse's SmartPak blanket is a 78 (which is a little big on him except in the shoulders), and he is a 75 in the Amigo Bravo 12 Wug sheet. (He was drowning in the 78 Wug I tried.)

Always a great choice
I always trust this family of branda to fit well and stand up to my mare’s abuse. This turnout sheet is a marvelous color - more of a charcoal and better than expected. With monogram the price was comparable with what other retailers offered it for plain, and it arrived in time for the holidays, beating their original estimate. SmartPak always delivers!

Excellent Sheet
I bought this for 12 year old QH mare who tends to be very hard to fit to things. The WUG neckline fits every horse I’ve tried it on and really ensures no water gets on your horses chest. Very glad they make a 0g fill blanket too as my mare doesn’t need anything more than a rain coat!

Horseware Delivers Again for my hard-to-fit horse
Love this heavy blanket. It is easy to handle, stays in place and seems to keep my horse cozy warm in the very cold weather. My appendix gelding is hard to fit, but Horseware always fits his broader shoulders well - no rubs! Also, love the front closures as they don't seem to catch him in the neck when his head is down eating hay. Thanks again Horseware for another excellent quality, affordable heavy blanket!

Reliably well fitting and waterproof
I have had several Amigo Bravo turnout sheets and blankets. All have fit my TB’s and WB’s very well with less shoulder rubs than other turnouts. My ottb gelding was very tough on his turnouts until I finally broke down and invested in a Rambo for him. After seven years the Rambo was tired so he now has an Amigo Bravo as well - much more economical since the boy has finally settled down some. The Bravo turnout sheet is my go-to for the whole winter using different liners (or sometimes stable blankets). I have found that other turnout sheets do not breath well with liners under them and I find the top liner and underside of the turnout sheet wet with sweat, this doesn’t happen with the Bravo sheet. The high neck offers decent coverage and doesn’t weigh heavy in front of the withers like rugs with a detachable neck rug and doesn’t rub out their mane. Very good turnout for the money, definitely recommend to others and I will buy again when needed.

Outstanding fit

Used to be a great brand. Quality declined!
I have used the Amigo Bravo line for three years. The first two winters were amazing and they were cheap enough that I didn't mind the small holes. My young horse was growing and would need new blankets each year anyway. Well, this is the third winter and the quality of this blanket has seriously declined. The medium and heave weight blanket interior lining rips along the seams within a week. The exterior begins to get holes quickly, too. One medium was damaged so badly within a month of use I had to decommission it. A friend at the barn (who I originally recommended these blankets to because they had performed so well) is having the same issues with her blankets. It is frustrating and I will not purchase this line again.

Love it
I bought this blanket for my older mare last year and it's been great. It fits her perfectly, she's a 72' and the neck fits much better than her regular Rambo blanket, shes got a stocky chest and shoulder. It held up to a rough west Michigan winter last year, no rips, tears and still waterproof. Very pleased with this blanket, pulled it out for temps in the teens already this year.

I’ve been using the Smartpak blankets for years. But last year I went ahead and purchased an entire set of Amigo turnouts as well as Amigo stable blankets for my horse. He’s an older easy going guy. After one season the lining is tearing at all the seams and the waterproofing has failed in the turnout rugs. This is happening in every turnout and stable rug I’d purchased. I’ve since replaced this junk with Smartpak blankets

I bought two of these for my high withered thoroughbreds and they held up well this winter. No rubbing or chafing that I could find. I will say the dark blue turned light purple on both of them and we are in NY just an hour south of Albany. Surprised they faded so quickly when my others ones I bought did not.

Wonderful Blanket
I love this blanket, especially the front snap to the ring and the three belly straps; it stays in place very nicely. Unfortunately, my horse is the ultimate blanket destroyer and did manage to remove one of the three straps on the hook side within two months. Otherwise I’d give this 5 stars, but did feel that the stitching perhaps be heavier.

Just what I was looking for
Purchased when they were on sale, I have been slowly upgrading my mare's wardrobe to better fitting rugs and boy oh boy am I glad I am upgrading, I am now in love with Amigo. This sheet has the high neck design and the more V style 2 snap front closure with a large patch of double latch velcro. The V style is ideal on my girl, she has a narrow front end with a flat wither so most things gap open and slip down her chest. This does not, it is snug/more tailored to her chest and neck, eliminating the gapping. The high neck is nice as it provides additional coverage (she stays body clipped over winter and lives in turnout) plus helps it fit better along her wither and back. She is just 15h and narrow, I went with a 72" and it fits her well. The sides have, I think, more drop on her compared to if your horse has more belly but it doesnt present a hazard and it doesn't hang off her like a cape. Came with a fabric tail cord that I swapped for an elastic tail cord (love those, buy a bunch and put them on all your blankets!) and has the 3 strap belly surcingles. Stays in place, is waterproof, sand and leaves shake off it easily. A winning sheet for me.

I bought this to try to avoid blanket rubs on my horse. The 78" fit well (he's a 78" in other brands). I can't comment on the blanket rubs as he already had some by the time I switched to this blanket. But they didn't get any worse. The material does seem to rip fairly easily. There are a lot of small tears that I'm sure are from pasture mates "play biting" but they're big enough I'll have to get them repaired. I like the addition of the third belly surcingle and the high neck. But I do wish that the plastic coated tail cord came standard on Rambo/Amigo turnout. I need to buy a second set of blankets to have as back-ups. I do not think that I will be buying a full set of Amigos.

Ripped after 3 months
