My go to for spray on bandages
Works really well especially for injuries where bandages can be hard to apply or for horses in pasture.

An essential for your first aid kit
This has been such a pleasant addition to my first aid kid! You just give it a shake, and then a spray and it covers any sort of minor cut and scrap with ease! It offers a protective barrier against any flies, dirt or debris, while helping to heal the wound. I have used it for various things around my horse’s body, and been happy with it every time! It’s mess free and easy to use, I would recommend it for everyone’s first aid kit!

Great stuff
Helps to heal minor wounds quicker. Not terribly messy, but don't rub against it otherwise you will have silver on you. Pricey for what you get, but it works.

Lifesaver
I ride an accident prone OTTB and this stuff is a lifesaver. Clean the wound and then spray this on to protect the wound, keep it clean, and help it heal. It’s like a liquid bandaid.

Easy and mess free.
I purchased this product because I lent my last one out. My 29 year old geriatric Arabian gelding gets pressure sores sometimes. Slaves attract sand and dust and wash away easily, this spray is convienent, mess free, and compact to store. I think it’s cold to the touch—being an aerosol. My horse will move away from the spray, but one push and his ulcerative sore is covered. Lasts about 3-4 days. Also seems to keep the bugs out of the area.

An essential first aid product
This is my go to product when my horses get an injury. Being an aerosol it is easy to apply and offers occlusive coverage to prevent dirt, bacteria and bugs from entering the wound. Most recently my vet recommended it to be used on a puncture wound on my horses leg.

A wound protection must have!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was first introduced to this product by my vet. It is a great product and easy to apply. You can treat the wound with your usual medications and spray this over the top. It lasts for days even under moist conditions. Especially useful on scrapes and cuts on the legs and coronet band.

Horse lives
My horse had no flesh down to the bone on left hind. It regenerated but skin grafts failed. This product allows my horse to live without infection and insects eating away at the flesh and the thin baby skin she is trying to generate. Thank you for this product. Anything else of this type is too strong and kills the flesh .

Awesome product!
My pony had a gash on his chin that would not heal no matter what ointment I put on it. Flies were constantly in the wound even with Swat applied to it. I finally bought Alushield and the wound is almost completely healed in just 5 applications. I sprayed Scarlet Oil on the wound to kill the bacteria and then sprayed the Alushield on top every day. Not only does it heal wounds, it keeps the flies off the area!

Love this stuff!
This stuff is pretty great, although my horse does look like a silver spotted thoroughbred out in the field. It does help me locate him in a field of bays.

Must have for your first aid kit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My horse injured his leg and the vet recommended that I use this on him, along with two other products. This spray is amazing and does an incredible job at keeping a wound clean and protected! It sprays on easily and lasts! I bought an extra bottle of this to keep in the house to have on hand for my dogs if needed. Really great stuff and something I think everyone should have in their first aid kit!

Easy to use!
I love this aerosol spray! Perfect for small scraps and cuts to protect from flies and dirt and seems to keep my boys from licking wounds and scraps. Dirt doesn’t stick to it like a salve would. Great for the cut or scrape on leg that you don’t want or need to wrap

This stuff works great!
My granddaughters pony got some nasty deep scratches near her hip bone. I was using antibiotic ointment and some Swat around it and it was looking ok but then I noticed some proud flesh starting. I quick ordered AluShield and I couldn’t believe the difference in the wound. 2 times spraying it and it looks wonderful. I will be using it for all nicks and scrapes from now on!!

Works for those tricky to bandage spots
A necessity for any horse owner. Use for small cuts that could use a little treatment but are not serious enough to need a vet. Use gloves, it stains your hands for a couple days
