Love these so Much except for One big problem
I bought these boots December 1st, 2022 because I was looking for a fun, leather, waterproof barn boot that I could clean up and wear when I wanted to go to a show.
I've had similarly styled boots in the past that I wasn't careful with (ie: using the heel of the boot to get them off) which resulted in the rubber around the heel to peel away from the leather. Because I've learned my lesson from this, I was careful with these new boots to only use a boot jack or someone to help pull off the boots whenever I needed to remove them. Unfortunately, only six weeks in, I'm seeing the rubber peeling away from the heel of the boot and its in conjunction with using the boot jack! This is so frustrating! It seems to be occurring more on the inside of the boots but the outside of the left boot is starting to pull away. These boots are pull on and off only, no zippers. And if they fit correctly, especially when new, they are very difficult to pull off alone. I'm hoping SmartPak can help, but I was very disappointed with this failure in the build of the boot. Otherwise, they are true to description being waterproof, warm and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I love these boots except for this issue.
Maybe in the future, add a waterproof zipper or change the design of rubber around the heel. If you don't opt for a zipper, some boot pulls on the inside would be handy as its difficult to grab the edge of the boot to pull it on.

Beautiful but Uncomfortable
I bought these a month ago. They are warm, beautiful, and appear to be well made however they are difficult to get off without help and run small . The first boot I tried on felt tight. I walked around the house with the one boot on to see if it would break in. I then put both on. I noticed the first side I tried on seemed to get better so felt encouraged enough to wear them outside as I had read SmartPaks needed breaking in. They are the warmest boots I've ever had but unfortunately a month later I find the one boot fits and the other remains unbearably tight. I have tried to just wear the tight boot around the house and even doubled up on socks with no change. I measured the boots and they seem consistent on the outside construction. These are the only shoes or boots I've ever encountered this issue with. I've been told I can't return them since I wore them outside and was advised on some other ways to try to stretch the boot which I will attempt, but between requiring another human to help take them off (I am tall and slender) and one fitting smaller than the other I am crushed to have spent this much money and still unable to wear them.

These boots are beautiful and seem like they would be very warm and comfortable. They do run small. I had to drive to a friends house because I couldn’t get them off once I stepped into them. I think sizing up would make them too clunky, so unfortunately I’ll be returning them.

Amazing boots!
Beautiful, warm, and functional! I’ve been searching for a replacement for a well-loved pair of SmartPak boots I got about 8 years ago and am so happy with these! I’ve tried a few of their other styles the last year and had to return them because of fit, but these are great. I’m normally a 8.5 and the size 40 fits perfectly. I’m hoping they’ll make a black pair.

Beautiful, cozy and warm
These are lovely boots. It’s still summer in north Idaho so I haven’t worn them in the cold yet but they’re very cozy and toasty when just trying them on.
Size up - had to exchange my normal size for one larger and they’re perfect.

SO warm in the bitter cold!
I’ve struggled to keep my feet warm in cold temperatures even with insulated boots and wool socks. These boots keep my feet toasty even in single digit temps! It’s so nice to not have to worry about my feet getting cold. I’ve ridden in them, too!

Best winter boots I’ve ever had
These are wonderful. The fuzzy lining is SO warm. The tall height helps keep my legs protected and cozy. For me they’ve been totally waterproof in the mud and snowy paddock muck so far. And they’re CUTE! I’ve gotten so many compliments on them. They’re my go-to boots for every barn visit. They’re a little thick/clunky to ride in, but work fine for hopping on quick. Totally recommend these!

Will help keep me warm this winter!
I’ve only had these boots for a few weeks now and they seem to get more and more comfortable as I wear them - not that they were uncomfortable to begin with, just breaking in nicely. These are my first pair of leather winter boots, I have always had insulated “bean boots” in the past but I think leather will keep my feet warmer than rubber. I’m much more into function than fashion, I refuse to wear “skinny jeans” (thinner / colder fabric & doesn’t look good on my short almost stumpy legs) so I jam my regular jeans into these boots which works well enough. It’s somewhere between “I’m old enough to care only so much about how I look” and “it looks better than I thought it would”. Because my jeans are inside the boots they do keep my legs much warmer which helps keep my all-the-time cold feet significantly warmer. Could probably have a bit more cushion in the foot bed but they're still comfortable enough. Wondered if hay would stick to wool top but only very little. Hoping they stay water proof for quite sometime so that I don’t have to go back to the very cold rubber “bean boots” for the snow.

Bought these to be my barn boots because at the sale price offered they were cheaper than MBC/ bog boots… only problem is I still need new barn boots because I feel like they are too nice to ruin in the mud!

Cozy toes
I was looking for a new warm winter boot to teach in and so far these are doing well. They keep my toes cozy and warm and are pretty comfortable for long days on my feet. They are very fluffy inside so they are snug at first until you break them in a bit but that’s part of why it’s so cozy.

Received my boots today. They are very comfortable and fit great.
But they are not same color than in the picture. What seems to be a lighter brown/saddle color above the bottom leather part is much darker on the boot itself.

Pleasantly surprised
I wasn't sure about them based on the picture, but these are cute in person and very warm and comfortable. I'm not sure about wearing them to the barn. The top is a fabric/fleecy material and I'm guessing it will be a magnet for hay and dirt. I'll definitely be keeping these, they'll be great over a pair of jeans on cold winter days.
