Plant-based support for performance horses!
I’ve been feeding Wild Gold Original Camelina Oil to my horse for a few months now, and I’ve really come to love this supplement. I was looking for a plant-based oil to support overall performance and help keep my horse feeling and looking his best, and this one has checked all the boxes. One of the first things I noticed was how shiny and healthy his coat started looking. I’ve also seen some nice benefits in terms of his energy and stamina, especially on longer rides and during horse trials. What I appreciate most about Wild Gold is how clean and simple it is—just cold-pressed camelina oil, nothing else. It’s rich in omega-3s, and I like knowing it’s non-GMO, gluten-free, and has a longer shelf life than other oils I’ve tried! Overall, it’s been a great addition to his program. From his skin and coat to his energy levels, I’ve seen positive changes, and I feel good knowing I’m giving him a high-quality, natural supplement!

Confounded but amazed
I have 2 horses on this. One had less than beautiful hay and he has been blossoming on it .
The 2nd horse HAD been diagnosed with Equine Asthma. We decided to give him Camelina oil as he needed a bit more weight and for it's anti-inflammatory properties. Since putting him on the Camelina oil his breathing has been MUCH better! He was re-tested and was no longer considered Asthmatic!! Scientifically I can't explain this but the timing correlates.. i'll be keeping him on it!!

Really helped their hooves and overall health.
The horses love the taste. Even the farrier commented that their hooves have never looked better.

Loving it so far!
My mare has been on this for over 6 months now and I’ve been really impressed with the results! She’s had no inflammatory response to this oil and has really been thriving on it.

Didn't help my horses
I bought this hoping it would help my two older horses - one with respiratory issues and the other with minor joint stiffness. All it did was make them fatter!

Waste
I bought this for my horse recovering from EPM and put it on autoship. Immediately disappointed when it did not come with a pump so it is messy and annoying to try to use. Then my horse only ate it for a few days and then refused to touch his feed if a drop of this was on it. Of course I forgot to cancel the autoship and now I have another jug of this junk headed my way to take up space in my feed room

Really Does what they Say!
I had been seeing lots of ads for Camelina oil -a "miracle" oil (?) and wondered. My 24 yr old mare had been on bute 2x a day for comfort / inflamtion issues for about 8 weeks and was starting to show stomach issues. After some research and talking to someone else who had been using it with good results and figured - Why Not? Well, the stomach relief was almost immediate -no more "mare grumpy-ness". With winter upon us -riding was limited but I was hand walking her almost daily and she was moving as well as she was with the bute -seemed very loose anxious to move out. Gone was the uncomfortable stance she sometimes would have before the bute, she was rounder and just overall happier horse! I can't wait for the snow/winter to be gone so we can get some good rides in.

Product seems to living up to its hype!
I have a draft horse with shivers (neuromuscular issue similar to stringhalt) and the vet suggested that we give him a massive daily dose of Vitamin E. Problem is, there is only so much powder you can put on the feed before it's just unpalatable. I also worry about inhalation of the powdered forms. I started using another oil with high doses of E but it was more than 100 a bottle so I looked around and found this, still a bit spendy but much less than 100 a bottle! I put two ounces of this and 2 scoops of elevate onto his 2 cups of Senior Sentinel and his other SmartPaks and he scarfed it down! It has the added benefit of getting the powdered E to stick to his grain! We know we can't reverse the neuromuscular issues our boy has but we are hoping to at least slow its progression! BTW, if you are in northern climes, this also has a much lower freezing point than many other oil-based products so it doesn't freeze up as fast!

Horses love it!!
Put two horses on it 4 months ago and they are thriving! Coats are shiny and the older horse all together stopped having issues with stocking up. Nothing else changed about his daily routine except for adding the oil.

Horses won't eat it
I was really hoping they would eat this as I have been looking for a good easy source of omega 3s. I only have one picky mare but all four horses threw the food out of the feed pan and snorted a lot to let me know that they were not happy!
