Really helps with hind gut issues
I recently purchased a horse with a kind demeanour that quickly went sour after a few shows due to ulcers . I had been treating him with omeprazole/suculfrate compound which seemed to help him maintain his ulcers but never better them. Eventually my vet recommended this product to me for his hindgut ulcers and in just two weeks it has made a huge difference in his demeanour and he has really filled out! Price is worth the product

Highly recommend
I bought this for a my horse that I suspected was having issues with ulcers. He all of a sudden began sitting back while saddled multiple times, literally putting the saddle on, tightening enough so it won’t slid off and he would begin throwing myself back. For the first 2 weeks of feeding Succeed I saddled him untied, for the past 6 weeks we have had ZERO issues while being saddled. Not to mention he’s a picky eater and will eat this right out the bucket!

Love Love Love!
Had my horse on Succeed, post track life, for years and always had amazing compliments on how young and healthy he looked. He suffered from extreme ulcers and aside from the perscription grade products and Purina Oulast (another great product), I have to say this was definitely a favorite. It smells delicious--he always looked forward to it. I love it so much and plan to use it on my other horses. Id say its a must for any gut issues your horse may have. I do suggest to get the tubes because then you know exactly how much they are getting.

Miracle for my new horse
My new horse was very sensitive in the flank area, upset getting tacked up, blanketed, sprayed and had an overall grumpy demeanor. He also had loose, yellow manure, painful gas where he'd scrunch up his body, drips down his hind legs all the time. Vet recommended succeed before spending money on tests. His manure changed within 2 weeks and after a few weeks his whole demeanor changed. Because succeed is quite expensive to stay on long term I tried some cheaper hind gut supplements and within 2 weeks all of his symptoms came back and his legs were caked in wet manure again. So back on succeed he went and now he's been on succeed for over 6 months straight and he is calm and happy, his manure is a normal consistency, his hind legs are clean. He still doesn't like being tacked up but all he does now is make a face, no more lashing out at me or trying to move away. I wish it was more affordable but cheaper alternatives didn't work so he is staying on it.

Helped mare's ulcers and odd behavior
We have an off track TB mare that has a history of ulcers and goes off feed every spring when we bring horses back into work for polo after winter vacation. We always do a series of gastroguard for her but this year that didn't help. And worse, she developed a weird head tick where she would randomly fling her head up and down and strike out or stomp her front legs in pasture and during work. We tried another series of gastroguard and started Succeed. And in about a week the weird behavior went away, she returned to normal, and started gaining weight. We have had her on Succeed for 3 months now and she is still doing well. She has no problem eating it with feed.

Great product, don't give up on it!
My young horse had diarrhea off on on for over a year.. I tried many vet recommended products but nothing really helped for long. I decided to try the Succeed challenge. That starts with the tubes, twice a day for a week, then once a day for a month, then I switched to the powder form.
At first he did great! His coat became much more shiny and his poop was fine for a couple of months. Then I noticed he was having soft poop/diarrhea again and I was so disappointed. However, I mentioned this to my vet and she said that when she talked to the rep from the company, he said the powder form actually works better on an empty
stomach NOT fed with a meal. Even though it says on the label to feed with a meal!!!!!
I started giving him the powder after I rode and not letting him have any grain for at least an hour, and it started to work again!! I have since switched to the paste form, which he loves, and that is working perfectly!! The rep said the paste form is already hydrolyzed and can work better than the powder form. That probably explains why they start you off with the paste form in the succeed challenge.
I'm so happy that my horse is feeling well now and no more poop in his tail and staining his back legs every day!

Really helped my horse!
I would highly recommend this for the treatment of hindgut ulcers. I tried several treatments when I first suspected my gelding had ulcers. My normally quiet and polite horse had begun kicking and biting at me when being tacked up. I had everything from nose to tail looked at, and physically he was fine. I was desperate and saw that this product had great reviews, so I started with a twice daily dose of the paste, and then bought the powder. My horse has stopped all of his aggressive behavior in the cross ties, is cleaning up his hay, and his coat has already improved significantly after 60 days.

Great Product
I'm on my 2nd order & so far it seems to be working. I had a 2 week lapse after my 1st order due to automatic ship so I'm kinda starting over. The only issue is when you start your horse on this product it states to double up the first 5 days. When you do that & are on the auto ship you run out before your next order ships. Otherwise, working so far.

It really works!
I have 2 horses on Succeed ... one with a history of ulcers, and after my new horse had a series of colics, I added Succeed to his feed regime as well. Both horses are doing wonderfully. My ulcer prone mare hasn't needed a round of GastroGard since starting Succeed; and my gelding hasn't colicked since starting it a couple months ago. My shipment came quickly, and since Succeed has been hard to find on the shelves, I've been grateful to rely on SmartPak as a reliable source. The price hurts (no matter where you buy it), but the results have saved me some expensive vet bills.

My horse thinks this is a treat Not a supplement
My reining horse is an overacheiver who stresses not only at shows but at home. I've had him on ulcer medication and Magnesium. The Succeed is the prebiotic I use daily to help with his digestive system. I give the daily paste, as he's a super picky eater, and he LOVES the paste! It's is pre-dinner snack. You can just watch him enjoy it when I squirt it in his mouth. My regimen to keep his digestive system healthy while keeping ulcers at bay, is working.

Has helped ease my horses ulcers
My horse has shown symptoms of ulcers and this supplement was recommended by my trainer. It really seems to help! My only complaint is that it is quite expensive.

Noticeable difference
My mare has become a different horse in 6 months. Maybe she's just maturing (she's 7), but 6 months ago I put her on Succeed and she looks incredible and is much, much more ride able. Before she'd be quite irritable and disobedient.....that has (almost) entirely gone away. Who knows, but I'm not taking her off of it.

Eh.....Not impressed.
I feel like I gave this product a fair shot- considering that I had my two horses on it for 9(almost 10) months. My trainer swears by this stuff so I decided to jump on her bandwagon and try it out on my guys. I did a bit of research on this stuff after my trainer talked to me about it. Reviews were good, it had some sort of colic insurance, the products seemed awesome and their site claimed they had all these patents and fancy formulas to provide the horse with optimum digestive protection, etc. Okay. Cool. My horses have....weird acting hindguts, they can be ulcer prone and they're in heavy work, this stuff seems awesome. why not?
Honestly, I saw no change in my guys at all. Their performance didn't change and neither did their attitude(neither of which were problems, but the website claims for a change in both so I expected that you know?). Nothing in their physique, behavior, performance.... or even their poo showed me results. Maybe they just never needed it, to begin with.
I canceled my orders after feeling like my horses were just eating $104 every 28 days with no turnaround. One horse was cut off from it first (so he was on it like maybe 8 months). The other one is still technically on it.. finishing off his last round these next few days and then not getting it anymore. He's also recently become.. not fond of the supplement! This is just a recent development. He's been picking through his food and trying to avoid it, and ends up leaving half or more than half his grain... I know it's the supplement since he only gets it once a day and eats the grain without it just fine. Good thing I canceled before the next shipment was charged to my card!

This is my second bucket of Succeed, and I don't see any changes. If the product didn't have such a weird consistency and temperature requirements, I might be willing to try it for a bit longer. My horses don't love it but do eat it. It's a weird powdery consistency, almost clumpy, and they always leave some at the bottom of the bucket. In addition, the product package lists strict temperature requirements. It shouldn't be above 80 degrees, which means that keeping it in the barn in the summer will cause it to spoil. If I felt it was doing wonders, I might stick with it, but it's mediocre at best.

This worked, but I found a SmartPak alternative
This worked for my horse, however, I’ve gotten similar results with my senior QH gelding who just wasn’t retaining weight/building muscle mass and had some mild colic symptoms with SmartDigest Ultra + Smart Muscle Mass. It comes out a little cheaper per month.

Fantastic Results
We have two mares that had loose stools often, one of them was so bad for months every day and we tried so many top products that were supposed to help. Shockingly in 4 days her loose stools and leaky gut was improved by 90% and one mare 100%. I am a believer and keeping them on this product!

Succeed is helping my horse
I have tried several different products to help my horse move from soft cow-pat poops to those of a normal horse. We are still on the first package of Succeed, but it seems to be helping and I just made a second order. It was recommended by my trainer and by a vet, so I encourage you to try it.

Great Results
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product after doing research on treating hindgut (colonic) ulcers and I have to say that it lives up to all of it's 5 star reviews. I saw a positive improvement both in attitude and health within 2 weeks. The only drawback is the cost. While it is a great supplement to use as needed (ulcers, underweight, training, etc.) or full time for a couple of horses, the cost is prohibitive to use as a daily supplement for all my horses.

Truly amazing!
I have been struggling with our gelding's weight for 2 years, tried all kinds of supplements and large amounts of different feeds, within 10 days of Succeed his weight was back and his hind gut ulcers were improving amazingly fast, no more kicking out! I am so happy we gave this a try, he was so miserable, not any more!!

Made no discernible difference
I had my gelding on succeed for 2 months to help with what seemed to be hindgut ulcers and digestive issues but I can't justify the price. He didn't get any worse, and his manure may have gotten slightly more formed and less acidic smelling, but I never saw a real improvement in his symptoms. I started him on ritetrac from smartpak and he has shown a dramatic improvement of his girthiness and other pain responses in just over a week.
Many others have had horses that improved greatly on succeed, but mine did not so I can't recommend it

Amazing product!
This product is amazing, I have seen a HUGE difference in my horse! I started using this product after trying multiple other products with no success. The first time I purchased, I bought through the Succeed website and signed up for their Succeed Challenge so that if it didn't work, I could get my money back. (Not going to lie, I was very skeptical). During the Succeed Challenge, I noticed a huge change in my horses personality, coat, and behavior. He was much more level headed, he used to be very nervous and hyper. He has since become much easier to handle and improved performance. I used to have to give him UlcerGard every time that I traveled with him and I no longer have to do that! This product is quite expensive, but it is totally worth it!! Highly recommend!!
