Daily Dewormer
Safe for horses of all ages and reproductive status, including foals over 2 Strongid® C 2X™ (pyrantel tartrate) is an equine anthelmintic designed to be administered on a daily basis to provide a continuous, preventive level of pyrantel in the intestinal tract. STRONGID® C 2X™ prevents migration of large strongyle larvae.
Manufacturers recommend dosing a horse with a larvacidal dewormer such as QUEST before beginning administration of a daily dewormer, to help destroy existing larvae and adult parasites. Manufacturers also recommend horses receive QUEST Plus with praziquantel in late fall to control bots and tapeworm.

Excellent product and my horse actually eats it. I have never had an issue with colic due to worms using this product and feel that being in a boarding barn my horse is protected. I do recommend this product and have used it for years.

Parasites no more
Through a huge pin worm breakout at our barn my TB gelding remained worm free. He has been on this product a little over a year, he eats it easily and have had no issues at all. I will continue this product indefinitely.

you gotta try it
I started my horse on this product after it was recommeded to me by a riding buddy. I was always complementing her about her quarterhorse's shiny coat, brigth eyes, and overall healthy appearance. My arab certainly didn't look sickly, but when the 2 of them stood side by side, the QH seemed to glisten and my guy, well, didn't....anyway, she told me that she started strongid pellets 6 months prior and noticed a huge improvement in her horses overall health.
So...I tried it, and sure enough 1 month later I'm already seeing a difference! After using strongid, I will never switch back to other de-worming methods.
Worms beware....Strongid is here!!!

Great Palatability
I was very concerned that my picky eater would not eat this, but he likes it! This is the first I've used a daily dewormer for my horse, but a barn I used to manage used it on the breeding stallions, and their worm count was always very low. And I've heard other people that are also very satisfied by using it. It's also less costly for me to order it from SmartPak than to buy locally.

Good Product
I have used this product for years, and have seen that it really gives my horses a healthy coat and healthy overall appearance. According to my vet, it also helps prevent colic. I do paste worm every 6 mths. as well, in order to make sure everything is covered. I had my vet test my horse's feces after I had used this product for about a year, and he said it was the cleanest feces he'd ever seen! He couldn't find a trace of worms at all. He said that it was cleaner that feces he'd tested on horses that had only been paste wormed.
I highly recommend this daily wormer supplement.

Daily wormer
I ride a 25 year-young quarter horse. I have owned him a year and when I first got him he was slightly underweight. I started him on Strongid C2X in December 2008 and during the winter he gained some weight and kept it on. His coat shines and I get told he looks great. I could really tell a difference in him since starting him on Strongid C2X. I will keep him on it.

Best Preventive Care
I've used Strongid C2X for 6 years. Some folks say horses build a tolerance to it, and it loses its effectiveness; however, I have not experienced that at all. In fact I use daily dewormers so that my horses can get the most vitamins and nutrients from their feed, without having to share with internal parasites. The result is a horse that maintains body weight easier and more consistently, bright eyes and a shiny coat--signs of good health without additional supplements.

Great Product!
I just started using this product because my horse is so hard to worm. It is great he eats right up and now I just have to paste worm him twice a year, instead of every six weeks wondering if he was going to spit most of it out.

Makes Horses Hot
I gave this to my thoroughbred gelding recently. He loved the taste and seemed happy on it but his mood started to change. He became really hot and wouldn't listen. Some horses are great on it but the alfalfa base made him too hot.

Benefits are more that you may think...
i have a 2 year old oldenburg gelding. he is my pride and joy! when i bought him, my barn was not finished and he had to be boarded. the barn went through alot of hay and my guy was constantly getting different kinds of hays. never JUST grass or JUST grass/alfalfa. some days it was grass, some timothy, some a mixture and then one day he got fed 2 pads of alfalfa. needless to say....he got sick. he had never had that much alfalfa and it upset his stomach. we decided to put him on a digestive supplement (G.I. conditioner...a godsend for all my horses. the ones competeing, the young ones and the retired guy) it helped in the beginning but due to the inconsistant hay my vet recommended putting him on a daily de-wormer. i had used them in the past and i knew strongid c2x was my choice. his manure looks 100% better with the stomach supp. and this stuff! his coat is healthier due to the parasites being 100% under control. it is pricier than the alternative, yes. but if you have a sensitive horse or ones competing/that are older this is the way to go.

This is a great product, and the company offers up to $5000 if your horse needs colic surgery while on this product. I have had all my horses on it, and none ever tested positive for parasites.

Well Worth It
I have used Strongid C for several years on all of our horses. Fecal counts have always been low. It helps to keep the horses in top shape, since they don't have to fight worm loads.

No horse should be without
I beleive that a daily wormer promotes a healthy GI tract. The stress of competition would be compounded with any abnormal intestine. My vet always said he felt it helped the horses coat shine from the alfalfa base. I attribute having any worming problems or colic to this product.

Great Product
I use this Strongid C2X year round along with rotational dewormers to keep those nasty worms out of my horses. All of my horses will eat this product from my hand, so I don't have to worry about waste when feeding grain. If your not using a daily dewormer in your deworming program, give it some serious thought. It is worth the extra money to protect our equine friends.

It's true...
I've been told of the wonderful benefits of a daily dewormer and now I'm a believer! My horses are shiney, and keeping weight much better. I was good about rotating my regular dewormers on a sound program, but this product works WAY better! I'm so happy that it's offered by Smartpak!

This product is great for all horses. It really helps keep the weight on. We supplement with paste dewormers as well, but I never feel safe knowing they'll spit out as much as they can! I trust in Strongid 2x for my horses' health!

No more colic...Happy Horse
We couldn't figure out what was causing the weight loss and colic in my 20yo Hanoverian gelding. After many years of showing and changing hands, he was a mess. We drew some blood on one of the vet calls just for the heck of it, and discovered the making of an mild ulcer. We ordered Strongid, off the recommendation of a barn MOM....AMAZING results. He gained weight, had no more colic incidences and became a very happy horse. That was 2 years ago - He has been back in the show ring a couple of times (reserve champion) at the last show and has shown no more signs of distress. Thank you makers of Strongid!

Protected in more ways than one
I have always used Strongid with my horse. He eats it. It works. Oh, and it comes with the Preventicare colic surgery coverage. My vet's office started allowing all clients on Preventicare to order their Strongid through Smartpak through some agreement (to be eligable for Preventicare the Strongid must be done through your vet). All of my horse's supplements were coming from Smartpak except the Strongid, which I would have to get in buckets from my vet, now it is all handled for me. My horse eats the pellets and because he is on other daily supplements I don't mind having him on a daily wormer, especially one that offers colic surgery coverage.

Fabulous!
My horse used to rub his tail and I never knew why, I just assumed he was itchy. It wasn't until my vet told me that it could possibly be worms that were making him rub his tail. She recommended a daily dewormer for consistency, and since my horse has been on Strongid C2X (almost a full year now) he hasn't rubbed his tail at all. I have also heard that one of the main causes of colic is worms, and I am happy to say that I have been colic free as well! Great product.

Great for Weight Gain
Strongid C2X is the best thing to feed for a horse to gain weight. I tried everything for my ex-racehorse to gain weight and this is the only thing that helped...he is in full weight thanks to this product. I used it solely for the purpose of weight gain after my vet told me that this product allows rapid weight gain if needed. I am not a follower of daily wormer and I still worm regularly if the horse is on Strongid C2X, but I use it religiously if a horse needs weight. Our horses are good at being fat, so once he gained the weight, I later stopped giving it to him. He's still fat and happy a year later.

Strongid C2X Protects My Horse Every Day!
I love Strongid C2X! Not only does it give me peace of mind that my horse is protected every day, but it also saves me money. The double strength formula of Strongid C2X means that I can feed less and still have fantastic results! This is so important to me, as my horse is turned out in a pasture with 14 other horses, so his risk of worm infestation is high.
