Product works as it says it will!
My horse hates traveling solo, and usually is stressed in an unfamiliar setting. I gave her a tube the day before and the day of. She seemed much calmer and had consistent hydration/bowl movements. I use this product in conjunction with SmartDigest Ultra!

Preventative measures.
I have been using this product when I am preparing and competing at a horse show or even for a clinic. Anything to help my horse to be more comfortable is a plus!

Works great!
I am at my horse's first week long AA show and have been giving this once a day as we don't bring a salt block. She has been doing great and is full of energy, not stiff or sore, and is drinking well.

Definitely Helps
Whenever we haul my mare to an away show (2+ hours) her low back is very painful and she is miserable at shows not even wanting to be brushed the first few days. I believe this is from overuse of the muscles in her back to brace during shipping. I tried this paste last week for a 3 hour haul and she came off the trailer with no soreness for the first time ever. She had a great show and was champion in every single class. Well worth the cost, I highly recommend!

My horse ate it without much protest. I gave it to my mare before, during and after her transport from Wisconsin to south Texas and it seemed like it helped her acclimate.

My Trailering Companion
My competitive trail horse hates trailering and stresses over it a lot. He often sweats out in the trailer, arriving at our destination in a full sweat...not a great way to start off when preparing to ride 50 miles in the heat!
Last season I started using SmartShip & Show Paste prior to trailering, and during the ride in lieu of other electrolyte formulations. His comfort level and performance at rides have both been elevated since using this product.

Great for shows
I have given this to my filly prior to each of the 3 times we have trailered her. Since I haven't gone anywhere without the paste I don't know if the paste is helping, or if she just settles quickly, but she never shows signs of stress hauling or while away. For the peace of mind I will continue to use this product and the horses don't seem to dislike the taste to badly.

Not sure if it helps, but it doesn't hurt!
I have used this a few times now when shipping my horse in conjunction with Ulcerguard -- Between the two products, I feel that I am covering all of my bases. My horse has arrived at all of his destinations bright eyed, willing to drink, and without issue. I will continue to use just to be safe! He doesn't seem to mind the taste, but he is not a picky eater at all.

Loved it!
I bought this product because my horse tends to stress on the haul to shows and I wanted to make sure I am doing everything I can to help him. This product is ease of mind that he is getting a boost of essentials! I have used it for my last 2 shows and really feel like it helps!

Major improvement from original!
I was satisfied with the original paste, other than it was hard to get out of the tube if the temperature wasn't just right. This new/improved formula really is MUCH better! It is much easier to use and my mare is even happier with the new dosage - one small tube is better than the entire 60 g tube of the old formula. This new version seems to have a slightly different flavor, smells more like sugar cookies than the previous butterscotch - either way, my mare seemed to prefer this flavor and consistency. This product is a must-have, everything you need for travel in one tube, and even better, now it's easier to feed and apparently tastier! I think this product is a perfect example of what Smartpak says - Healthy Horse, Happy Rider :)

Seems like a good product but didn't really help
I bought this because this fall my 17-year-old started going hours without passing manure while on his way home from away shows and after he returned. He is also not great about eating hay at shows. I gave him a tube a day right before we left and while we were gone, along with UlcerGard, but he still had the same problem. I wouldn't say that he drank more water than usual either. He didn't love the taste, which is a very strong chemical-y butterscotch flavor, but he tolerated it. I had trouble with one tube's plunger getting stuck. I might use it again just to do everything I can, but it doesn't seem to have done the job.

most upsetting thing about the show was the paste?
I am pretty sure this is a great product, but the look on my horses face and his refusal to take anything by mouth for about an hour was priceless. He is normally a very food motivated horse and is used to having wormer administered this way regularly, but despite a molasses starter and chaser he was not pleased. I have to stay that his droppings were much better at the show and during travel, he tends to get quite runny normally so that was a definite success. Will try again next show as see if he will ever forgive me and get used to it. I only gave him one dose pre-departure and didn't want to rock the boat the next day at the show this time.

Much better! Horse arrived in GREAT condition.
I had purchased the old version of SmartShip & Show, and was very pleased with it- except it was very hard to administer, and my gelding did not like the taste. Now, it is MUCH easier to press the plunger in, and my horse doesn't try to spit it out.
My gelding suffered from pretty severe ulcers, and can get them back VERY easily. When we were getting ready to trailer to the World Show- which was 14 hours away- I was very worried I would be dealing with ulcers or, even worse, colic. My gelding is known for not eating anything during transport, so this was very stressful. We gave him a tube of SmartShip & Show before we left, and not only did he eat during the long ride down, he arrived bright eyed and alert. A day and a half later we took top 10! LOVE this stuff. Will always have it with me!
