I haven't worked with a vet regarding this issue, but my horses can get a bit nervous, and one cross fires a lot at the canter, when the spring grass dies down and they graze on shorter pasture (higher sugar intake). After my own research, Adding calcium, magnesium (SmartCalm Ultra), and salt, my horses are more focused and my mare no longer cross fires. I'm sure this supplement adds to overall bone health as well. So thankful SmartPak carries a calcium supplement!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SmartPaker Lexi from The perfect addition to my horse's program Because my horse has had bone health issues in the past, I was really excited when SmartOsteo Pellets were developed. I added them to Sasha’s SmartPaks as soon as they became available because I thought the proactive support for bone health they provide would be the perfect addition to her management program. I like this formula in particular because of the unique combination of ingredients it includes – besides the vitamins and minerals you would expect, its key ingredients include collagen and boron for comprehensive support. Sasha can be a picky eater, but she eats this formula with no issues even though she gets very little grain with it. I’ve been thrilled with how she has been doing lately, and I feel great knowing that between the expert care she gets from her veterinarian, the appropriate exercise program, and the support of this supplement, I’m doing what I can to help promote strong, healthy bones.
