It works!
The product worked great for my moody mare! However, please check and make sure your mare isn't allergic to the ingredients, she started to not want to eat her grain and had a (mild) allergic reaction to the raspberry leaves. This was my fault but just wanted to make you aware to check first! Although it did make her not feel the greatest, I did see a DRASTIC change in her temperament although we only gave it to her for one day, lol. I highly recommend!

Fairly Effective
I think this is a good product. The mare still has her crankiness, but I think it has improved. Like all herbal remedies it does take time. The mare has been on it for 4 months and I intend to keep her on it until winter at least.

It Works!

Allergic reaction
This review is no reflection on SmartPak, they're great! The problem was my mare is just sensitive to an ingredient in this supplement and I can no longer feed it. I went thru the process of elimination with all her other supplements and this is definitely the one that has caused her reaction, apparently it is the chasteberry as I waited 2 weeks for her system to clear and then tried her on "simply chasteberry" (which will be my next review) and same reaction only the severe hives appeared much more quickly. I will not be trying any natural herb "calming" supplements on her any time soon!

Returning mare to SmartCalm Ultra
My opinionated and sensitive arabian endurance mare has done well on SmartCalm ultra, but since we've welcomed a new gelding to the farm she's been all about the boy. I thought I'd try SmartMare to get her less focused on him. After a week she became more stubborn, more crabby, and less tolerant than she was previously. So I've stopped partway through my month's supply and am returning her to SmartCalm Ultra.

Seems to really make a difference
I originally purchases this product for one of my mares who has ended up on ReguMate. While waiting for that product to come in, I put all of my mares on Smart Harmony. It seems to have smoothed away the rough edges on all of my mares. The only word I can think of to describe it is "Harmony". They have no trouble eating it and it really doesn't take much per horse. Overall great cocktail of ingredients designed to make mares happy.

NOT JUST FOR MARES!
Everyone thinks their horse is perfect and I am no exception! When my Trainer recommended I try something for my horse's moodiness in the ring with other horses, My first thought was SmartMare Harmony!
My horse is not a mare. He is a gelding but I thought he could benefit from the ingredients in SmartMare Harmony and I was right. The raspberry leaf immensely improved his grumpy gelding actions. He would put his ears back when other horses went by him in the ring. He is generally a very happy, very lovable horse but can act "mare-ish" in the ring. The ashwagandha helped reduce the stress he was showing while riding in a group of other horses. It helps keep his focus on what I am working on and not focused on the other horses. The ashwagandha truly evened out his mood and made him less stressed and much happier.
The SmartMare Harmony does have chamomile and passion flow as an added ingredient. I wasn't sure how this would affect my horse because I really didn't need him quieter. It basically just took the edge off and made him less anxious around other horses.
I have been very happy with the use of SmartMare Harmony on my gelding! I do show at rated horse shows and plan on switching to Smart & Simple Rasberry Leaf, 2 weeks before I show. Please keep in mind SmartMare Harmony has a disclosure: *This product contains one or more ingredients currently published by US Equestrian as a prohibited substance. Please consult the governing body for this and any other organizations under which you may compete.
I highly recommend SmartMare Harmony for not only moody mare but also grumpy geldings!

It really works!
My mare was having hormonal issues. She’s always been mareish, but recently she was coming in and out of season frequently, even during the winter. When she was in season, I couldn’t ride her near even a gelding or she would completely lose focus. We were monitoring her and about to do blood work to see if there was something going on, but I decided to try this product first. I’ve had her on the Harmony pellets for nearly three months now, and since then I’ve had absolutely no issues with her and other horses. She no longer stands along the side of the fence, trying to attract the boys. She’s so much more focused when riding and on the ground, it’s wonderful! I’m amazed at what a difference this has made.

I finally have a quiet mare!!

Great stuff!

Happy mare, happy ride
I bought this for my daughter’s 10 year old mare. She was moody, pinning her ears and swishing her tail a lot. She’s been on Mare Harmony for about 6 weeks. She appears to enjoy being ridden more and appears overall happier. She is much more pleasant to ride.

Bad reaction
I am so sorry to report that my mare seemed to have a bad reaction to this supplement. She seemed to become ultra sensitive to light, and ultra spooky. Had her on it about 3 days, took a couple days off of it to return to normal. I have had this mare for 16 years and she has never behaved this way. I suspect the dong quai root powder to be the cause of the reaction. Glad I did some research, and also that she became her normal self after a day or so without supplement. Clearly this works well for many, but not for this mare. I am sharing this information to help others that may experience something similar. I thought maybe my mare’s vision was off, or perhaps her brain was malfunctioning. She is totally fine and back to normal now, and is doing great on her other SmartPak supplements.

Works Great for my Chestnut Mare
I have a 4 year old Chestnut Mare that had the worst attitude outbursts. She would kick out when I would saddle her, or have her around the geldings. I put her on SmartMare Harmony Pellets 6 months ago and have seen a HUGE improvement with her temperament. She is much easier to work with. She lives with two geldings, and knock on wood, she doesn't throw herself into heat or act marish around them. Actually, pecking order wise, she's number three. But I can tell just from using the supplements, it has helped with her moodiness. She doesn't try to kick out, or act moody when I'm tacking her up. I definetly recommend it. I thought in the past I was going to have use the more expensive Vet prescribed hormone medicine to keep her in a pleasant mood. But I'm extremely happy with how these supplements have helped.

DRAMATIC difference in my young mare
If you are looking for an effective mare supplement, this is the one. I wish I would have tried it sooner, but I could not believe it was this effective, and this affordable. It is a game changer. My mare is only 3, and her young heats have been miserable for her. She started rubbing her hips/thigh obsessively against the walls on her first heat as a two year old, so we had originally had her on other brands of "performance" mare supplements, my mare got slightly better on those, but was never quite "normal", still obsessively rubbed that area, and was bald, much to my dismay, and my vets dismay, after ruling out everything else. Eventually after not feeling the "bang for my buck" and with COVID causing life disruptions, I stopped her on the other companies supplement, feeling defeated. After introducing a new horse, a gelding, she got even worse, obsessive, stopped eating, rubbed herself balder on her thigh/hip area, and I finally broke down and tried SmartMare Harmony pellets. Within a few days, she was like a different horse. She has completely stopped that hormonal rubbing, her hair is growing back, and she could care less about other horses. Her heat cycles are mild, and she is a happier horse.

Perfect for my mare!
These say you should wait 2 months before really seeing any results, but I saw results with my mare the first heat she was on these. She used to kick holes in her stall walls, harass every gelding she could see, and have serious separation anxiety from the geldings. Just awful lol. But the first heat after I started giving her these, I didn't even know she was in heat. All the bad behavior went away and I got my sweet mare back. Love these!

It worked!
I had a problem with my 23 year old gelding acting like a aggressive stallion! He was gelded late and was a working stallion. Your salesperson recommended we try the Smart Harmony pellets.
I wasn’t too sure about that, but much to our surprise, in about a month he totally calmed down and became his sweet little paint horse self again! We once again have “harmony” in our pastures!

Still Same
My mare has been on this for almost 2 months and she is still noisy and reactive when she rides with my friend and sisters. She also is still very clingy with my other horse and I had hoped those issues would improve more.
