Replaces key minerals lost in sweat
Dehydration in horses has serious consequences. In order to keep your horse properly hydrated and performing his best, it is essential to supplement his diet with salt. Neither hay, pasture, nor fortified grain contain enough salt (sodium chloride) to meet your horse’s needs, and not all horses can get their requirements from a salt block alone. Feeding a well-balanced electrolyte supplement like SmartLytes Pellets can supply the sodium chloride your horse needs, in addition to the other electrolyte minerals that are lost in sweat - potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Supplying these electrolytes will also encourage your horse to drink more water, rebalancing his fluids and helping to ensure proper digestion of feeds.

Easy to add, my buddy loves them
I add these SmartLytes to my SmartPaks every spring for about 5 months to help us through the hot weather and heavy work of summer training and show season. My gelding is always excited about his meals and adding these pellets doesn't deter him one bit. I've used both the bulk version and the SmartPak version and they are so easy to use, work quite well, and really help us through the hot and steamy weather.

Love these pellets.
I LOVE these pellets. Both horses get them. One has anhydrosis and he is sweating since he started them. The other horse has a history of dehydration colic but is now drinking plenty of water. These seniors have more energy. They feel better on them. I tried the salt pellets also but my horses do a lot better on these.

Works great!
My daughters pony was having issues with not drinking enough water. It was especially problematic at hot shows. His performance was lack luster and he would end up exhausted. I started him on a powder form of electrolytes but he would consistently pick around it, even though it was apple flavored. Since he eats pellets for his breakfast I decided to give the SmartLytes Pellets a try.
Instant hit! He loves apples and bananas and this flavor combination along with the pellet formula and he gobbles his food right up!
Our first test was yesterday at a very unusual hot and humid show. He drank the most water I have ever seen him drink at a show. Every time we offered water he drank. And my daughter was able to keep him forward in her jump rounds and he came out peppy.

Horses do well on these!
My horses seem a lot brighter on these pellets. Previously, one horse colicked from dehydration and the other overheated with anhydrosis. Both seem a lot brighter on these pellets. The horse with anhydrosis sweats and the colicy horse is drinking well. Tried the Smart Salt but like these a lot better.

Worked for Hook!
My 32-year-old Arab, Hook, isn't a big water drinker, no matter how clean and fresh I keep the source. Adding SmartLytes boosted his water intake greatly. He's also a picky eater, but he munches these pellets down with no hesitation.

Keeps him looking good!
I have a 29 year old gelding that I still foxhunt regularly. He is quite the sweater and has a tendency to get drawn up. I notice a dramatic difference in his looks when he is on electrolytes - but he won't touch the powders. Thankfully, Smartpak makes it in a pellet, which he loves, and I noticed a huge difference in just one week!

I just love these electrolytes. My mare is picky when powders are in her feed. The pelleted electrolytes are palatable and enhance her water consumption which is so important to me during the winter months and when on the road with my show schedule.

My horse is a heavy sweater. I absolutely love these pellets. I buy the bag so that I can customize the amount he receives by how sweaty he is, but he does not even know these are in his grain (and he gets very little). Great to know my horse is actually getting his electrolytes and much better than dampening his grain to make the loose salt products stick.

I believe keeping my mini's on these pellets has helped maintaining their water intake in all types of changes in the weather. I recommend them highly for all horses that live in a changing environment ! Awesome..........

Summer mainstay
My horse was suffering from severe dehydration due to drooling from the summer clover.
Unfortunately he would not eat regular powder electrolytes and I could not be sure he would get enough if I put it in water, His drooling was so intense.
Someone suggested your pellet. He ate it with no problem and it literally
Saved him. Now I know he eats every bit unlike the powders you are not really sure. I can't thank you enough for creating this product. It saved my horse and I will never be without it

Great product
Since getting older, Emma has had a tendency to dehydrate easily. This summer has been the heat from you know where!!! She almost did it several times through out the summer. My daughter (the vet tech) suggested that I use this. Once I did, there was a noticeable difference. My concerns for her

Great Product
Bought this for my horse that is prone to dehydration thus resulting in a colic. Originally bought him a powdered product, but he didn't like it. Bought this instead and have not had one episode of dehydration/colic. My horse doesn't even notice it in his daily grain!

Wouldn't eat
Unfortunately my "will eat anything" pony would not touch these. I will say he dosnt get much grain but he would pick right around them and leave them untouched at the bottom. So I gave them to another "will eat anything" pony in the barn and you really had to hide them or he would pick around them too.

Really Great Supplement!
I purchased these along with the One AC for my Friesian that wasn't drinking enough water and barely sweating. I live on the southern gulf coast and the summer heat and humidity can be brutal. When I started her on the supplements, we could barely go 15 minutes into a ride before she started over heating. Now we've had to add an extra water bucket to her stall and can ride a full 45 min session easy! My horse is sweating well and breathing better now that her body can better regulate the heat.These were a total lifesaver!

Have a picky eater, turns his nose up at most things but ate these with no problem. Will buy my horse supliments but hate when I find it in bottom of bucket, wont happen with these.

Great product that really works!
This is such a cost effective electrolyte pellet!! It works great and my horse loves it and eats it as fast as she can. I tried a cheaper powdered electrolyte and her stools got harder and just didn't work as well. I guess you get what you pay for sometimes. So we're back, for good, with smartlytes pellets. They just do a better job and they are palatable.

Mare with anhidrosis does great
My mare doesn't sweat and she seems to handle the heat a lot better when she's on this. I recently tried SmartSalt but as soon as I took her off of this and started the SmartSalt her water consumption actually dropped and she had a harder time tolerating the heat. She hates all powders and Smartpak is the only brand that makes pellets, which she eats no problem. Thank you Smartpak!
