It really works!
I tried this product 2 months ago after years of dealing with scabbies and itchies on my mare's belly. Nothing topical I'd tried worked. She was miserable, and every day asked me to scratch her tummy to relieve the itchiness. A friend suggested I try Smartitch-Ease, and I'm glad I did. Within a few weeks my girl's bites were noticeably diminished and she didn't seem as bothered. And she eats it! She can be a picky eater and I was worried about the strong smell of tumeric, but she gobbles it up. I give her additional apple cider vinegar, but that alone wasn't helping her. This stuff is great! I'll keep her on it until winter, then start up again in early Spring to get a jump start on the bug bites. Thank you, Smart Pak for yet another great product that actually works!!

It works and she eats it!
My 20 y/o TB is allergic to insect bites. I tried Smartitch Ease because her turnout partner has been on it, and gets almost no bites, while my mare was covered , even with fly spray and a fly sheet. After we started this, she has gotten very few bites. And, even though she is a picky eater, she likes it.

Won’t eat it
I just got this supplement a week and a half ago, and neither of my horses will eat it- even in a mash with a larger quantity of mash and grain. I was hopeful this would work but if they won’t eat it- and it’s $$

No More Itchy Skin!
My boyfriend's horse has had really bad allergies all of his life. This causes him to not have any hair on his chest, belly and parts on his face. Last spring, when we moved him up to Colorado from Oklahoma, he had the worst itchy and dry skin so he would rub the skin on his chest raw. While a fly sheet with a neck cover protected his skin from the bugs, he still rubbed his chest, which caused the sheet to rip significantly. As soon as I saw this new supplement, I convinced my boyfriend to put his horse on this, just to try it (he's a major supplement skeptic since nothing has really helped his skin in the past). He has been on this for a few months and his skin looks significantly better. We still keep a fly sheet on him but he hasn't rubbed his chest at all this spring in the peak of allergy season when his skin is usually at its worst. His skin is soft, healthy, itch free, and he is even growing a little bit of hair back on his chest. We had a little bit of an issue with palatability at first but we just mixed his grain with water and molasses flavoring and haven't has an issue since.

Still itchy
Was really hopeful that this would help my horse but he’s been on it for about 3 weeks with no discernible improvement. It’s pretty expensive, too. I have dropped it from his SmartPaks. Palatability was not a problem.

Part of my solution
Started my mare on this as part of a new routine after she spent one spring covered in hives and positively nasty looking. We were never able to determine if it was caused from insects or environment(we had bad fires in our area with thick smoke for months). Fly sheets rubbed her skin raw so I added
this supplement, Benadryl and more fans left on 24 hours a day. We’ve successfully made it though this spring with no hives. I don’t know if it’s the less fires we have had in the area, this supplement or the fans but I’m not going to change anything to find out!
This supplement definitely contributed to helping. I add it to soaked alfalfa cubes so though she is picky, she eats it right up too!

Just fine
This is probably a good fat supplement if you need one, and has some anti-inflammatory stuff too - so might be good for older horses, but it didn't help my itchy mare. Others have said their horses wouldn't eat it but she gobbled it up.

Didn't help my pony
I've been feeding this for three weeks now (after it taking a while for him to even want to eat it). I am not seeing any difference in itch comfort for my pony. He is still rubbing his hair out on the fence. I have seen an improvement with the gnats and bugs not bothering him. Unfortunately won't continue to feed this.

My horse is already less itchy!
I bought this a few weeks ago for my quarter horse who has terrible spring/summer allergies. He is normally super itchy and gets covered it hives and scabs, and itches his tail out even with a fly sheet and fly spray. Since starting this, he has been noticeably more comfortable and not itching and scratching as much, and his tail is already growing back! He also loves the taste and gobbles it up every night. Nice but not tasty
I recieved this about a week ago. It smells very strong, like Indian food. It comes as 3 scoops but I only gave one to my pony who normally eats everything. She only picked at her food the first time. I now split the dosage between meals and she is learning to eat it but I definitely wouldn't try this on a picky eater. I'm not sure if it's going to help with her sweetitch yet.

I want so badly to say this was amazing!
And really, it probably is amazing, BUT...my horse will NOT eat it. I have a 12yo Morgan who breaks out in hives with bug bites, so I started him on this and Elevate vitamin E last fall to see if we could make some progress before biting bug season hit this spring. His coat is glossy, he has yet to break out in hives (bugs are just now starting to appear) but as the months wear on the more and more he leaves behind in his grain. It really is a huge amount of supplement for one serving, so we split it up between two feedings. Use to be able to mask it with the addition of Triple Crown beet pulp feed as a top dress. Then we moved to molasses water, and now he has become a pro at picking around it. I don't think the addition of so much sugar is worth any possible benefits at this point, so I'm on a search for something a little less pungent. Sorry, ItchEase! I had high hopes!

My horses will not eat it.
I have two full siblings who are both allergic to bites. I was very much hoping this might help as they are both show horses. It smells very strong, there is a ton of it for one dose and they just look at me like what is this? My horses are not on a lot of grain but it would take a LOT to disguise this stuff, more than mine will ever be eating. My mare is not a picky eater; the gelding is not overly picky but can be. I can still smell the supplement after simply handling it. It smells bitter.

6 month Review
I said I would review in Feb after full body clip keeping him on it through winter . Usually he would have crud on his face , crusting in his mAne and sores in the girth area from harnes he has none of that so I have and going to keep him on it . We did notice this weekend and it only happens when we go to shows. He has bumps all over him on one side it happens when he goes to Oklahoma too. We think it is something they disenfect the stalls with . Other than that at joke he is fine . I recommend this product it has worked 100percent.

It works!!!!
I bought this a month ago for my minature horse show Pony, who suffers from allergies . Constant itching on his chest has gotten worse this year . In winter he will get scabby on his side and cannot where a slinky. I recommend 2 weeks he had stopped and it started to subside I still have him on it a sign it is still hot her in Fl .
