noticeable difference
Going on month 2 and I can see a difference in my horse's comfort level by her increased positive attitude and interest in her surroundings. I HIGHLY recommend this product if you have a rescue horse or an OTTB.

My final solution for my 28yr old mare!!
After trying several products including vet prescribed treatments over the past 2 years, nothing could seem to help my senior mares' digestive tract. Constant running stools that always left her white legs and tail stained black, stomach upset, weight loss, and even UTI's from the bacteria what would make its way to her "girl parts." We even resorted to no grains or dry matter (this made very little impact).. Strictly pasture and soaked alfalfa 3x a day which became a hassle and quite expensive to keep weight on her. Within 3 days of starting this product, her stool began to harden and the "very loud" rumbling gut sounds are now a little quieter and normal. The stool color changed from black to the more normal color of greens and browns (i know, TMI).. but i could not be happier with this product especially after all the expensive vet treatments that made no impact. Almost a month into her start date on this product, i have actually been able to cut back on the alfalfa as her weight is picking up quickly.. Its very evident she is overall more comfortable and her over all body score isjust looking so much better.

Treat the problem, don't mask it
I decided on the investment in Smart GI after experiencing changes in my horse that indicated ulcers - he was a real stoic so it was hard to figure out at first. He responded well to Ulcer-Guard but I wanted to actually address and make progress on solving his ulcer issues, not just masking them. He is on his second month of Smart GI and has put on some weight and is very focused in his training. I hope to be able to report that his stress symptoms are gone by new spring's show season!

Your finicky horse will love it.
It seems the older Cappy is, the pickier he's getting. We had to change up everything because he would eat around his supplements. This one however he's eating! Between the colic and his ulcers, our vet recommended that he has this in his diet. I really do think because they are in pellet form that this is why we have been so successful.

I was very skeptical
I am generally not a supplement person, but I moved my mare from home to a training barn Sept. 1. She went from my hay and grass to dry paddock and stall board. Shortly thereafter her poop turned almost black and oily. She was reactive. At one point, I actually picked up some poop with a white tissue to see if the oil-look was due to blood (it wasn't).
I researched supplements and ordered Smartpak's GI Ultra. She gobbles it up. After a week and a half on the supplement at the maintenance dose her poop is back to normal, healthy poo. While expensive this is definitely worth it for my horse. I also like the pak-system so it is easy for different barn staff to know how much to feed.

My horse eats it and is gaining weight
I bought this supplement because I purchased a young Morgan who was fairly skinny. He had some stressful times in the past and I suspected his low weight might be due to an ulcer. He has been eating this supplement for 8 weeks now and has put on weight and muscle. He looks well. I have no veterinary evidence, however.

I'M ON BOARD
Our horses travel and show regularly throughout the year, so I am always mindful of their gut. I have tried two other product in the past three years and have only noticed minor improvements. Within one month of using this product I can see a marked difference in them. They are more content to travel, stable, and work. Super product!

Bottom Line Product
I've spent a fortune in Ulcergard and vet bills before I finally recognized the ulcer scenario - yes had him scoped and he was positive. When he is developing ulcers he has gas, left hind hitch, becomes girthy, has excessive saliva, has little impulsion and is grumpy about his work. I started him on Smart Gut Ultra after a conversation with SP consultant, overlapping while he was still on the latest round of Ulcergard. At the end of treatment, he seemed to be fine but then started getting gassy during lessons. I called SP again and Rebecca suggested I add Smart Digest Ultra as a trial and so far, so good. The gassiness is gone. I really appreciate the advice and flexibility of trying a product knowing if doesn't work, I won't be charged. Fortunately I think I have a winner in what will become Smart GI Ultra.

VERY Picky Eater Approved!
I got a sample of SmartGI Ultra and my gelding LOVES it! At it right out of my hand like a treat! I dare say he was more excited for these pellets than he was for his actual treats! Very impressed.

Awesome product
This is my second month using Smart GI Ultra Pellets & I have already noticed a huge difference in my horses. They look & feel so much better and their nerves before a barrel race have been lessened due to a decline in ulcer activity in their gut. I highly recommend & love this product!!

Very pleased
my horse has always been a little policy, this last year he started farting like a sailor, during my lessons- so embarrassing. Also, thought that a lot of gas in his tummy can't be good. It's been just a month since we started this supplement and I can hear a great improvement. Hopefully no more gas!! supper happy!!

Decided to purchase SmartGI Ultra for my mare and also enrolled her in the Colicare Program. She is doing very well and the added guarantee with Colicare provides some feeling of security just in case.

Happy with smart GI ultra pellets
The pellets are very palatable. My mare Bebe eats them right up. I feel really good about maintaining her digestive tract and protecting her from the development of ulcers. It an added benefit that Bebe qualifies for the 7500$ colic reimbursement now that she is on smart GI ultra pellets.

A must have!
My horse dx with 3 grade 3 ulcers. I thought I did everything right using ulcer preventatives, supplements you name it. It didn't cross my mind to add probiotics as the grain I used stated it "was added in". Even my vet had stated if using grain don't worry about it. I learned my lesson the hard and costly way! $3000 and numerous shows missed later, we added the SmartGI after reading an article in The Horse regarding successful results when adding SmartGI for ulcer prone horses. A REAL study, followed by facts! That did it for me! Don't look at prices when searching for a digestive product, do YOUR homework! It's done wonders on my horse's performance and attitude and having free Colic surgery is a plus! My horse loves the pellets, no waste there.

Healing my horses ulcers
My horse had necrotic ulcers and was on gastroguard. This product is helping him not get rebound acidosis after being taken off gastroguard. Endoscopy on Friday will show how well this product works.

After researching gastric ulcer supplements, Smart Gut GI Ultra is the superior supplement. Clinical trials support its effectiveness. Only ulcer supplement I will ever use.

Exceeded my expectations
I bought an OTTB about 7 months ago. After a few months of work I noticed a huge behavior change, as he was exhibiting classic ulcer symptoms - being girthy, pinning his ears under saddle, biting his sides, kicking out, and being anxious at feeding time. My happy horse was just overall grumpy and not feeling his best. My vet and I treated him with omeprazole for a month to heal the ulcers. About 3 weeks into the omeprazole treatment I also started him on this product. He has been on it for about 2 months now and has stayed very happy and ulcer free since we finished the omeprazole treatment! We have a busy traveling schedule for schooling and clinics and I was really worried he would start having an ulcer flare again. So now he gets a preventative dose of omeprazole every time we travel and stays on Smart GI Ultra daily. I'm very very pleased with the results so far and I will write an updated view after 6 months!

very hopeful
So far so good. We have been on it for a month and our normally picky horse eats it all. He has developed dapples and has developed a happier presence. We hope for more improvement. After 6 months, i will re-review it and perhaps give it a better rating.

Has really helped my OTTB
My mare had fore and hind gut ulcers and it took me a long time to recognize what it was. I kept treating her for a tilted pelvis, but it was the pain from the ulcers that had her holding her pelvis which also affected her hocks. I started with the Digest Ultra as part of the Smart Combo, as she was still getting an Omeprazole (low dose) and Ranitidine combo and then moved her on to the SmartGI Ultra. She is now back to her very sweet self and her hocks no longer twist. I add a cup stabilized rice brain pellets and she gobbles it up with a few other things. No more Omeprazole, no more ranitidine and no Egusin.

From C gut sounds to A's for my Endurance horse!
My 12 year old Quarab is in her second year of Endurance Riding. She has done very well, except for getting poor gut sounds at vet checks. I started her on SmartGI Ultra Pellets. 4 months ago. Our first Endurance ride of the season was last weekend, she vetted in with all A's including gut sounds. She had a B+ on our next vet check at 16 miles, but again had all A's at our final vet check! She usually will not eat during the first hold, or at the end of the ride. She was hungry and eating and drinking like a champ! We have only done 7 rides, ever. Out of 21 horses, 16 completed the endurance ride and we came in 3rd!!! So do I recommend SmartGI Ultra Pellets! YES!

Anxious TB
My 17 yr old TB gelding was stopping under tack and you couldn't touch his belly. I put him on Ranitidine for 3 weeks, but it was really this product that has made a tremendous difference in his behaviour. He is happy with ears forward under tack and miracle of miracles, he has stopped cribbing. He is relaxed and anxiety free. I am in complete shock and I feel terrible as there is no doubt he has had problems with ulcers for some time. He will be on this product forever. Thank you.

Noticeable improvement
Put my 19 year old QH who had terrible ulcers..hind and fore gut and cribbing problem.. he had been on it almost 2 months and he is no longer cinchy, kicking out and he just generally feels better and the cribbing has decreased by 75%. I would say this has made a big difference.
