Not Impressed
My 7 year old Quarter Horse, who is our western pleasure show horse, was starting to exhibit early signs of arthritis. I decided to try this product instead of the straight MSM. He was on this product for 2 months and I can't say that I saw any improvement in the "creaking" sound or slight stiffness he was having before being warmed up. I decided to switch back to straight, granulated MSM and I saw results in about 3 weeks.

We have two horses on this and they are both doing great! My mare has never had any lameness issues but our gelding has arthritis and we even deemed him unrideable for the first year we owned him. After much trial and error we found the best combo to help our old man live as comfortably as possible. That combo was Smartflex I Maintenance and SmartTLC. We credit these supplements-and the change from a snaffle bit to a very mild hackmore-with making our old man a fun and safer riding horse. The old man is also picky but never seemed to balk at these pellets.

Great write-up on this product in catalog
I have a very short, chunkily-built draft pony. My farrier recommended I look into some type of joint supplement to make the job of holding up her hooves for him less
uncomfortable for her. She has been on the Smart Flex I Maintenance pellets a little over a month now, and both my farrier and I have already noticed that during her most recent farrier visit she seemed much more tolerant and comfortable while he was working on her hooves than she has ever been before. Thanks for making such a great supplement available to those of us who worry constantly about our horse or pony's comfort in everything we ask them to do for us.

My horse likes them
My finicky eater has no problem cleaning them up with his grain. If he doesn't like something he immediately dumps it on the ground. Haven't quite made it through my first month so I can't report on results yet. First things first- they have to like it to get it in them so we've won that battle!

Seems to be working
My horse is an ex-racehorse that, in my opinion, was raced way too much at such a young age and I started him on this product a few months ago to try to prevent him from having any joint issues in the future. A few of my fellow equestrians are using the smartflex products and they seem to work well for their horses. So far this product seems to make my horse less stiff and his movements are more fluid while under saddle. Not to mention it is an inexpensive product!

Great product! Worth the $!!!!
I bought this supplement a month ago for my 7 year paint gelding. I have owned him a little over, and noticed a popping noise in his joints, and occasionally seemed like he had a touch of stringhalt. After a month of being on the supplement he has no more popping in his joints, and no sign of stringhalt since. He even seems to be moving more freely and forward.

I have only been using this product for about 2 months and it seems to be doing fine for my mare. I do however think that I need to use the next level up because of a previous injury and with the cold weather she might just need alittle extra. I have nothing bad to say about this product it has been working with my mare just fine.

Getting back on track
My horse had three weeks off recently. He was lame from BAD shoeing :( It took thre weeks, a new farrier, and a lot of x-rays to straighten everything out and it's still taking some time. While he was on his three week "vacation" I started my horse on SmartFlex, knowing that bad shoeing can do a lot to a horses knees. I've been back in the saddle for two weeks and Pride is doing great. I really think SmartFlex was a great way to help get him back on track and keep his joints healthy while we continue to adjust his shoeing. Today, Pride is sound and even won a jumper class in his first ever Halloween show. :) It doesn't hurt that it's a very affordable supplement either!

Seems like a great product so far
I've only had my 2year old on this for a short time, but I like the peace of mind knowing that I am setting a good foundation for his growing joints. He is just starting to do some more work and I felt like he should have a joint supplement. Can't say enough about the amazing customer service of smartpak. They are amazing!

Results on Paint Almost Immediate
I have two rescue horses (a paint and a morgan). I was looking for a more economical joint supplement that could still deliver the goods. My Paint used to sound like she was walking on bubble wrap and would plod around like Eeyore. They have only had four doses (as of today) and results were evident on the mare after the second dose. She now has bounce in her step and barely creaks. The gelding is still a spunky spirit. Thank you SmartPak for helping my "popping ponies".

Works very well
I have had my mare, Lakota, on SmartFlex I for just over a year now and she has responded greatly. After about 1-2 months on this supplement we rarely heard her usual "joint cracking" she experienced quite often. Now I can't no remember the last time I heard a crack out of her! I also give it to my gelding after he had growth spurt that left him a little off. Now every time I suspect a growth spurt I put him on it for a month then take him back off. Definitely has made a difference.

Very happy thus far
My horses seem to respond well to this product, I have used other types of joint supplements and have found this one to be most user friendly. I love that it comes in pellet form so that I feel like none is wasted.

I tried the powder and most of it went uneaten. My gelding loves the taste of the pellets and he appears to be moving smoothly and not stiffening up.

I give this supplement to my 13 year old plasure preformance horse as a way to maintain his joints. He's a finicky horse when it comes to supplements so its great that its pelleted. The mg's are decent for the price you pay. I work at a petshop that sells other glucosamine supplements and my horse prefers this over any of them. Love it!

Exactly what we needed!
It took about a month for the product to really take effect on my jumper pony but once it did he has become an unstoppable jumping machine! He has a sticky stifle that is treated with structural integration sessions and what was a generic joint supplement. I knew he needed a better joint product but am a grad student funding my horse life so it had to be at a good price. With such luck with other SmartPak products (SmartBug Off, not sure how I lived without you before), I thought heck, lets give their joint supplement a try! Its excellent. My pony is not picky so the palatability score is high. Could vary for others. Always pleased with SmartPak!

I had to withdraw Cox-2 and heavy-duty flex supplements from my older TB due to stomach issues. He is doing fine on the SmartFlex I with some additional MSM at a later feeding.

Worth Every Penny
I have an older horse who tends to get stiff with weather changes. We still compete at 2'6 hunter shows and can't have stiffness or soreness slowing us down. I have had Moon on this product for a little over a month and it has already improved her movement. On a day that would normally keep me from riding because of the weather, I can now hop on and school a course at 2'6-2'9 with no problems and NO STIFFNESS! This product has really turned my older horse back into a younger horse. She has a spring in her step and is back to loving her job. Thank you SmartPak. You have another happy customer.

Great buy!
I bought this product to help my mare maintain healthy joints and to also help with her being stocked up in her hind legs when being stalled overnight. I saw results within the first month and she is not stocked up anymore. Great product for the price!
