A research study has shown through the use of the Diamond V in vitro intestinal activity modifier model (IAMM), it was demonstrated that SmartDigest Ultra, SmartDigest Ultra Pellets, and SmartGI Ultra Pellets - which all contain DVEquine postbiotic-produce higher levels of VFAs (volatile fatty acids) than an alfalfa/grass hay mix alone and may support the normal, healthy structure and function of the hindgut of the horse.

Great Product!
My gelding is doing great on this supplement! He used to gas colic quite often, runny poops, go around with his tail out and uncomfortable. Now he is happy and comfortable!

Great product!
My 15 yo mare cribs, she recently had a colic episode requiring veterinarian intervention. My vet suggested that I try the smart digest (I bought the ultra powder.). The mare has been on the Smart Digest for 45 days and while she still cribs, the severity and intensity which she cribs has decreased significantly. Also, the amount of gas she passes has greatly lessened. I am so relieved to have found a product that actually works!

Won't buy anything else!
I put my 12 year old ottb on SmartDigest Ultra about 5 weeks ago, and I can already see a difference! We've been battling ulcers and digestive upsest for almost a year now and nothing has worked quite like this. I can see a difference in his mood and an improvement in his behavior. He's a crazy picky eater and he doesn't even bat an eye at the powder in his grain. 10/10 recommend SmartDigest Ultra to everyone! The ColiCare is an added bonus that gives me a peace of mind.

Horse(s) won't touch it
The idea is good, but both my horses, who aren't usually picky eaters refused to eat their entire bucket of grain when I added SmartDigest. I tried the SmartDigest Ultra Pellets prior to the powder, but the same thing. Called customer service and they said they can't do a refund, even though I had just spent over $100 on a new shipment, but would send me some liquid to put on top of it to se if they would eat it. I had already tried mixing both the powder and the pellets with water, juice, adding treats, etc with no luck. Colicare is a great advantage, but not when it prevents your horses from touching their food completely. Once I removed the SmartDigest they continued to eat their grain as normal.

Did Not Help My Horse's Colic Issues
It's hard to rate this product because it's difficult to tell if it truly helps or not, in my horse's case. He colicked a few times since I've owned him, one bad one in 2015, two in 2016. I put him on this product after he had a medical colic this May and he just colicked again in July, in which he went through surgery. Unfortunately he was not eligible for the coliccare since he had undergone a previous colic. I'm sure these ingredients help promote hindgut health but in my horse's care, it did not help his colic issues.

Finally found a supplement that works
I have struggled for years to put and keep weight on my horse. We struggled with weight lose, periodic loose stools and poor appetite. Its been 1 month on smartdigest and Eve looks like a different horse.. She looks the best she has in many years.

Major changes in my horse! Happy customer!
I've had my very heavy cribber on this supplement for 8 months now. He's never colicked but would get significant gas episodes to the point he'd stop eating and start rocking in his stall. I was very afraid colic was our next step. Since putting him on this supplement he has had no gassy episodes. He still cribs like a demon but he's much more comfortable on a daily basis thanks to SmartDigest!

Performed a miracle
My 11yo gelding had an issue with sand ingestion prior to my owning him. I had him for 3 months, gave him a sand treatment and he ended up with months upon months of various forms of diarrhea. Vet gave him mineral oil and Metamucil to move more sand out. Afterwards the diarrhea got better but he had an issue with this disgusting wet gas that would trickle down the backs of his legs. After more months of Metamucil treatment, I decided to try SmartDigest ultra powder. I was floored to find this issue virtually disappeared after *2 weeks*. I was expecting two months for his system to adapt. I couldn't be happier with this product!

Love This!
I've had my horse on the SmartDigest powder for about 2 years and recently upgraded to the Ultra. The difference is amazing, the transition to the spring grass this year seems easy. I'm not as stressed because of colic. My horse has not showed any signs of colic since we upgraded. This product is definitely worth it!

such a great product!
My horses LOVE this stuff. They eat their grain better, and DIVE in to breakfast and dinner with real gusto! I have a bit of a picky eater and this has been his "chocolate". The effects on his digestion seem to be excellent. Of course it's always hard to tell "what one thing" made the difference when you feed multiple items,BUT he seems much more content and is eating and passing stool normally. (ALL VERY GOOD!)

Great product that works!
I started my gelding on this over a year ago. At the time he would have intermittent diarrhea for no apparent reason (no stressors, change in food, etc..) I had tried other products with nothing helping or it was only a short term fix. Since beginning the SmartDigest he has had consistent stools with no issues what so ever. It is also part of the ColiCare which is very important to me. I would definitely recommend this to anyone

Results for Ziggy are showing!
I started Ziggy on SmartDigest a few weeks back and I am impressed with how fast the results were! Within a week he went from projectile liquid diahrrea to normal manure piles - and he continues to have normal piles. Much happier horse and owners!

Didn't do much, then my horse stopped eating it.
My horse was eating this fine for a while, but I saw no improvement in his moderate dietary condition. He then stopped eating it. Do not waste your money on this, just go with the basic SmartDigest.

Unpalatable, not for fussy horses
Bought this supplement for my somewhat fussy mare, normally I can get her to eat powdered supplements she doesn't like with molasses, she wouldn't even eat this one with molasses. Seems like a great product for price but i cant convince my mare to eat it.

Works great for my OTTB mare
I bought this so I would get the Hind gut supplement plus the colicare coverage. However I think my mare is now eating better than ever and I hear her stomach all the time! I love this product. She eats it on dry grain or in her mash. I recommend this product to everyone I know !
