Excellent support (but expensive)
I purchased this supplement with a 50% discount and fed it for a month - I could already noticed a big improvement in my horse. She ate all strap at one time, which surprised me because she is a picky eater. I really like this supplement because you have excellent supplements which cover all horse body area in one, but will not continue purchasing it because of a price. I wish it was little cheaper but you definitely get what you pay for! I am having my horse on smart digest ultra, E vitamin from smartpak and then I use Actiflex4000 and flex seeds.

Wanted to Love It.
I was PRIMED to love this product: it had everything I was looking for in a supplement--so I was willing to pay for it (even though I think it's pretty expensive). But then my mare (who I would never define as a picky eater) wouldn't touch it. Not with hay cubes, or grain, or apple sauce, or covered in molasses. She rejected ALL of her grain--wouldn't even bother trying to sift it out. It was very disappointing. I would love to recommend this product because I think the composition looks very good on paper, but I can't because I don't know if it works.

Wound up horse
I have fed this supplement for a month. After several weeks I noticed my gelding being alot more up and looky. The least little thing would spook him. When I put him on the lunge or in the field he ran uncharacteristically. It blew his mind to be on this supplement. Way to powerful for him. I called to ask about dosage thinking it might be too much. Might have been a few pounds too much. Then I cut back on it. Still up. Took him to a show during this period and he spooked at everything. Very unlike him. Stopped the supplement and he seems back to himself. Just wasnt for my horse. I had to stop riding him until I could get him back to himself.

Hyper Horse
My Morgan had been on SmartGut and SmartGut Ultra but I wanted him in ColicCare so when I saw that this product was less costly than adding digest, joint and hoof I bought it. He is very sensitive, esp. to sugar. Within days he started getting more nervous, but fireworks were all around us so I didn't consider the supplement as the cause until he got so bad he was circling in his stall. Weather temps were in the 90's, he got daily turnout with a grazing muzzle but turned into a spooky boy like he had high blood sugar. He also lost a lot of weight. I called SmartPak and decided to take him off SmartCombo Ultimate. The next day he was cocking a leg and lying down in his stall. They refunded my $ and now my horse is slowly putting weight back on. My guess is it must be the Berry Complex that caused his hyperactivity.

So far so good
My mare developed ulcers from the stress of multiple stings. I treated her with Ulcergard and started her on the GI pellets for ulcers. She was already on Cetyl-M and a hoof/coat supplement so after the first month I decided to go to the Combo. I like that this is all in one. Since she only gets a half scoop of pellets right now, I can only give her 3 tubs per feeding, but that's an easy problem. My farrier said her feet look GREAT this time and that's a big deal in the summer. I love that she's eligible for ColicCare but I hope to God I never need it.

So helpful!
I bought a horse after not being an owner for several decades. To complicate matters, I purchased him in Canada and he was on all Canadian brand supplements and feed. I called SmartPak to ask about comparable products. They were great in helping me ease my boy into a new program. He loves the stuff and gobbles it right up.

My horse Seems Much Happier
My horse was irritable and showing signs of possible ulcers. His mood has greatly improved on this supplement and he doesn't mind a belly scratch anymore.

ulcer protection?
I switched from combo ultra (was using for gi and joint support) to ultimate due to a bout of gastric ulcers. My horse has been on this for a month and a 1/2 but is still on meds for ulcers-too soon to tell if this will be effective. He readily eats the pellets so no problems there.

SEEMS TO WORK
My horse is sensitive to hay changes, but once on this product he has had much less loose stools. I didn't notice any problems when very gradually taking him off hay and onto pasture.

Huge Difference
This is the second month I have purchased this product. It has made such a difference! My horse is much happier and any signs of stomach discomfort have been diminishing quickly. It's not cheap but for all the benefits definitely worth it!

Changed horse...
5 days into supplement my crabby witchy reactive mare. Has turned into a sweet heart , and much more low key . I'm able to come off all the other supplements she was on for joints and ulcer prevention. If I could paint the world with stuff , I would. I will recommend this to all my customers. Just shy of a miracle product.

Awesome product
I'm in my second month. I saw another review how a horse had stopped cribbing after two months but had a hard time believing it as my horse has cribbed for years and nothing except a basic cribbing collar has stopped him. I took it off two days ago and so far no cribbing. His coat even has a little more shine.

Happy Horse Happy Life
I'very been using this product for about two months now. I have noticed a big difference in my horse's personality and ovreally body confirmation. Before using the product I had issues with gratic ulcers and his joints, specifically navicular and hock. As of right now he is happier and lively, NOT hot though. He carries himself like he did years ago. Since his ulcers became an issue he became "cinchy" as I am using this to maintain his ulcers he has become less and less cinchy. I can see the end of the tunnel for my horse. Overall love the product and will continue to use this product!
It does have a bit of a smell my horse wasn't a big fan of, but just mixed it with soybean meal pellets and had no issue with it being eaten.

Ultimate All In One
I'd been using the regular smart combo but decided to upgrade to the this to give my horse the best of everything. So far I've been very happy with the results. Only drawback is that it is a large portion, my horse eats it fine but I could see where people might have problems with picky horses.

My horse wouldn't eat it.
I've had this supplement for almost a month now. My horse won't eat it. I am switching to SmartCombo Ultra because there is less to give. It's too expensive to be wasted. I'm hoping he will eat it. I don't think it made a difference because he isn't getting the full dose. I can't really rate it on how well it works because I don't know.

Highly Effective Supplements
I have had my high risk for ulcer prone horse on this supplement since increasing his show schedule recently. I recently took four horses to be scoped and the only one who did not have ulcers or signs of recently healed ulcers was him!

Seriously, the BEST
Let me preface this by saying I am not someone with copious amounts of money lying around and I know this is an expensive supplement. That being said, what you get for that money (all the included supplements, individually, would be SO much more expensive), and the impact that it has had on my horse, make this, hands down, some of the best money you can invest in your horse. My horse's sensitive digestive system is doing really well (since I wanted the SmartGI and a really good joint supplement, this combo was a no-brainer in terms of value), his joints are moving more fluidly, his performance is exceptional, he is very calm (and he's a 4 y/o OTTB) and his sensitive skin is no longer sensitive-- it glistens. Let me also throw in that the splint he popped while on stall rest last year (which I DMSO+ furazoned relentlessly, to little avail), is now almost. Entirely. Gone. The only thing that I had changed was swapping him to this supplement. Other than that, I am not even going to try to explain the 'how', but let me just tell you, it is the truth, and it is awesome. 150% recommend the Combo Ultimate.

Deserves more than 5 Stars!
I was so excited to see this product! I was using SmartCombo Ultra, previously but I wanted the extra support of the IV Ultimate joint supplement, so I removed my horse from using the SmartCombo Ultra and switched to the IV Ultimate & GI Ultra.. Now that this product is available I have switched over and I have been very pleased. My horse eats it just fine... even with the larger serving size... and I'm getting the hoof & coat supplement added as well! Thank you for this product SmartPak!

Great Idea but needs to be split am/pm doseage
I have given my review of this new product by Smartpak on their contact website directed to Paal Gisholt and Donnie Steele, who run the company. I explained that while their product was an great idea and saves their customers money while providing a wonderful combo of their top supplements, it needs to be split up,without additional cost to the customer. Ultimate comes in six wells. My horses have been
on Smartpaks for a number of years and have never had a problem eating them. When I started using Ultimate last week, they wouldn't even touch their food and they always lick their plates. I split the wells up to three in am and three in pm and they are eating it now.
Having to split this supplement myself defeats the purpose of Smartpaks. I, and
I believe many other customers who may have this problem of too much supplement in one feeding, will decide either not to use it or maybe get the bucket instead.
When I contacted Customer Support to split my Ultimate into am/pm, they told me that there would be an additional $5 charge per horse. This is really unfair and not very good business practice. Although the product is a wonderful idea, they should have anticipated that feeding so much supplement in one feed could present a problem for alot of their clients' horses and not penalize them now with an additional charge for figuring this out .
