Sand colic
My horse has been taking a course of these every 60 days. A week after his last week long purge, we are at the vet. Diagnosis sand colic. Lots of sand in his manure. He eats them well, but they do not seem to work.

Not Palatable for the Picky Eater
My picky 26-year-old TB did not like the the taste of these psyllium pellets any more than other brands - he doesn't really like any of them. I did get him to eat it with 1/2-1 lb of senior feed. Sand is not a huge problem in my area, so I only give him psyllium for 7 days 2x/year. Considering the my horse's disinterest and minimal sand colic risk, I did not find that this product was worth the extra cost compared to other brands.

My mare loved it
I have tried EVERY brand of Psyllium the feed store sold. My mare refused them all. I would mix them with her grass hay pellets and even tried being creative to disguise the psyllium pellets, but she would always manage to leave them behind in her tub or on the ground.
I added the Smart & Simple Psyllium to her grass hay pellets tonight and watched her as she clean up her entire meal, nothing left behind. Thank you SmartPak for peace of mind.

Great Psyllium Pellet in Convenient Packaging!
My mare is turned out in a sand paddock and needs a monthly Psyllium purge to ensure her hindgut stays healthy. These ship in individual pouches separate from her SmartPaks that can be given with the first seven days of her regular SmartPak shipment. This makes it super easy for my barn manager so she doesn't need to keep track of how many days she needs to scoop from a bucket. She's a super picky eater and has been eating it consistently for the last few months (I'm knocking on wood at this moment). I think this product would be perfect for any horse who has access to sand, and for horse owners who want to make their barn manager's jobs a bit easier!

Definitely worth it
Used for the first time last month because my young horse was getting fed hay outside in a sandy area (and he eats everything). It seemed like he was starting to get symptoms of impaction and after just one week of this he was back to normal. Worked like a charm!

First psyllium my pony will eat!
I have always had a difficult time getting my Welsh Pony mare to eat psyllium. I usually have to split it into multiple feedings and try to hide it in sweet feed. She willingly ate this from day one. The entire portion mixed with her usual handful of oats. I will never buy another brand of psyllium again! Also love the individual envelopes, makes it so easy to feed.

Packets are super convenient!
I moved to a state with much sandier soil and started giving my horses psyllium on a monthly basis. I was getting it from the local feed store and feeding it separately from my regular SmartPaks but realized I was wasting time and money doing it that way. I love the monthly purge packets! This is a much better system, it's so convenient, and I don't have to worry about them getting their monthly purges in a timely manner. My horses eat it up!

Seguro eats it!
My horse Seguro lives in a sand paddock and the boarding stable personnel doesn't really believe it is important to keep his food off the ground....so I believe monthly psyllium is very important. I've tried many brands and can only get him to eat most of his serving if I cover it in molasses. But this product - he has cleaned up for 3 straight days now. I'm delighted.

Finicky eater approved
Our quarter horse filly is a finicky eater. She has turned her nose up at several of the popular brands of equine psyllium and she refused them all. Now when she sees the SmartPak pouch, she actually comes running! She loves to sniff the bag as it's being opened and poured into her bucket. She consumes it quickly and leaves the bucket empty. She is just as interested in it on day 7 as she is on day 1.

MY horse stopped eating sand clear after 2 weeks. would not touch the stuff.
Actually left the grain behind and she is one of those horses that eats anything. Tried both of the smart pak psyllium products and she will actually eat them without and grain added. We have passed the 2 week mark and she is still inhaling these pellets. They are a bit on the expensive side.

So easy!!!
Smart Pak has made the one week once each moth feeding of Psyllium so easy and convenient. The shipment comes on time so I am sure all of my horses are getting the protection they need without adding stress to an already over full schedule!!

Great product, gives me piece of mind! :)
Thanks Smartpak for another home run! I feel much safer knowing that my mare is in a dirt paddock since she had been on this. Keeps the sand moving through. I do have to use an extra spoonful of molases to dress It up a bit, this way its guaranteed my girl will get every last morsel! We love all our smartpak supplements!! :)
