Each 40lb bag contains 100% premium sainfoin with no harmful binding agents or preservatives. Instructions
Sainfoin Pellets should be fed by dry weight and not by volume. They can be fed as is or soaked if desired. Forage pellets can be used as an additive or substituted for flakes of hay on a pound for pound basis. It is not recommended to be the sole source of forage in the diet. Most horse owners feed .5-2 lbs. of this product per day depending on their needs.
If feeding Sainfoin pellets as a partial substitute to hay, they should be fed on a pound-for-pound basis. Meaning, you should feed a pound of Sainfoin Pellets for every pound of hay you are replacing. For example, if your horse needs 20 pounds of forage per day and they are getting 18 pounds from hay, feed 2 pounds of Sainfoin Pellets to help meet their 20-pound forage requirement.
As always, consult your veterinarian or nutritionist for an exact feeding rate.
Clean and fresh water must be available at all times.
Store in a clean dry place avoiding heat and humidity.
