Beware! Prohibited ingredient.
Chamomile is prohibited for competition. This was not explained in the information I saw about this product. Luckily my mare is not currently competing.

Makes my mare less "mareish"!
Bought this product for the first time in September 2020 and am still using it. I was skeptical at first because I have tried other products similar to this such as Moody Mare and did not see a difference in my mares behavior. My mare is definitely a mare if you catch my drift. She is grumpy about everything and lets you know. When she is in season she constantly nickers and squats at geldings (unfortunately sometimes even under saddle... I would hate to see her behavior near a stallion). After being on Leg Up Mare Pellets I noticed an improvement after 6 weeks. Although she still has plenty of attitude (I wouldn't want it any other way, I am a true mare person at heart) she isn't constantly in war mode. Also we can go on nice trail rides with geldings even when she is in season with out her constantly nickering and squatting every two seconds! Needless to say we will definitely continue to use this product!

Its working
My mare isn't a mareish mare, but does have severe attachment issues to other mares and is super spooky. She's been on regulate as she has cystic ovaries. I recently switched her off of Quiessence and Regumate, and to Regumate, SmartCalm Ulta, and this. She hasn't shown any signs of being grumpier and hasn't spooked since she's been on this new combination. My chestnut mare approves!

Didn't work
I have had my mare on these pellets for 2 months and unfortunately have seen no change for the good. She has actually become more agitated since starting them. I was really hoping they were going to work.

Night and Day difference!
I have tried other products for my very mare-ish mare with minimal results. Started my mare on Leg Up Mare Pellets and it is a night and day difference! No more squealing or kicking at the other horses. Much more pleasant demeanor all the way around. My only regret is not trying it a long time ago. She’s also a picky eater and there was no issues getting her to eat this.

Huge Attitude Difference!
I started my very grumpy little hinny on this and what a big attitude difference! She rarely ever pins her ears now and is so much more pleasant to deal with. She is also very picky to any supplements in her food and she eats this one right up. Thank you for a great and affordable product!

Made my mare worse
Started my girl on the about 2 months ago after a few weeks she started to become extremely aggressive I took her off of them and about 3 days later she was back to herself I would rather deal with her attitude then get kicked again works on some mares but not all

noticeable change in older mare
My 20yr mare that is ovary free consistently would stress herself at least once a month pacing in turnout. Since starting these pellets in less than 1 month she is reported to no longer do that. Also notice that in "away" situations - trail, training or competing - she is completely chill without loosing her edge. I would recommend and with everything, sometimes it works for your situation, sometimes it doesn't, but at least worth trying.

Made all the Difference!
Leg Up Mare Pellets greatly improve my mare's behavior while in heat. I have owned mares for 45 years and am not bothered by mare behavior, but this particular mare was over the top. I have been giving her Mare Pellets from Spring to Fall for the past two years and love the results.

My mare has been on this supplement since November. I noticed she had a calmer demeanor and thought it may in fact be doing the trick. But now have a very irritable, cranky mare. May work for some, but doesn’t seem to be the trick for mine.

Seems to calm the dragon in my mare
I bought this almost 2 months ago when my mare was having a really bag heat and spring fever, she was a dragon wanting to rip everyone’s heads off. I started this and saw a difference within a few days. She is less moody and more tolerable of things.

AMAZING.
I purchased this feeling extremely skeptical that it would do any good (my mare’s heat cycles are BAD & Mare Magic didn’t help at all unfortunately). But I am so so pleased with how much it’s helped her mood while in season & overall. I mix it with her regular grain and she gobbles it up like usual. I think this supplement is a wonderful value for what you get and would recommend it highly. Thank you Smartpak for offering this product and keeping it affordable! Please never discontinue it!

Awesome.
I had used this daily and went from having a highly crabby mare on the trail to a nice girl. She used to fight me miserably to go home and is much more calm and relaxed. I now only give her it before I ride and still notice it working even when not given daily. Swear by this stuff. Way better than mare magic and cheaper. Please keep this affordable smart pak! Recently a friends gelding went psycho on a trail ride due to a reaction from a steroid shot and her vet suggested she try leg up. So she is gonna try it next time she rides. I can update on that later but super happy with this product. There weren’t many reviews on this product so wanted to add my praise

From dragon, to grump
My Mare Dove goes from "Love Dove", to "Dragon Dove" over night when she's on her cycle, then returns to "Love Dove". She's was already on Mag. 5000, but still unruly (to put it nicely) when her cycle hits. I added Leg Up Mare pellets to her feed when I noticed her 'winking' and kept her on it for 7 days for 2 of her heat cycles so far. This, along with her magnesium, has made her MUCH more manageable and enjoyable to be around during this time frame. From dragon, to grump. Grump every few weeks I can live with!

Works great, even better for the price!
I’ve had my mare on this for...maybe 6 months or so. She’s no doubt still a mare, squeals at horses walking by and what not. However. Her heat cycles had been raging and out of control. The horse next to her is a gelding and it was getting a little xrated over the fence. And she was seeming to be sore after flirting so much. Well within a month or two being on this supplement she is much better in the aspect of her heat cycles. She’ll always be a mareish mare but at least she seems more comfortable and regular now.

Calm Mare
I have a young mare that suffered a pasture accident when she was four. Due to this accident she had to be retired. So, I have a young horse that cannot be worked. She is the epitome of a mare and has no exercise outlet to occupy her and provide her with an outlet for her frustrations. She wants to work, but simply cannot. I tried this supplement on her and I will never take her off. Nothing is ever perfect, but the difference in this mare is phenomenal. She was kicking her stall so much at feeding time that she was knocking boards down. Since she has been on this supplement, she hardly ever kicks her stall. Other people have a difficult time handling her on the ground and this supplement makes her so much more chill. It doesn't make her act drugged or anything like that. She simply seems relaxed and definitely more happy.

Beware the mare stare!
My mare was a B! She was overly aggressive with pasture mates & on the trail, she was shooting off mare face the entire time, sometimes even trying to bite the other horses. The last straw was her kicking at another horse- I was mortified & this was such new behavior I was at a loss. I decided this was worth a shot, but I wasn't holding my breath for any miracles. What a difference! OMG. Within a few days, there was a noticeable difference in her attitude. 1 week in, she was acting like my girl again - seeking out affection from me & not being mare-ish to the other horses. 2 weeks in, I'm sold - great price & I'm loving the results! She really enjoys the pellets & takes them readily. I was afraid that the tiny amount she gets was going to do zero, but I'm a believer! Best money I've spent on my horse in a while!

It works OK
I've had my barrel racing mare on Leg Up Mare pellets for 4 months and haven't seen a huge difference. She still acts like a mare, whether being ridden or just being tied to the trailer. I can tell she is better about being tied at the trailer with others, but I think that has just come with time and practice. She eats the supplement right out of my hand. Maybe Dash could use a more powerful supplement.
