Leg Up® Joint Senior Pellets provide joint support designed specifically for older horses in convenient pellets. This formula provides glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate to support cartilage health. Not saying it's a bad product but I saw no difference in either of the 22 YO horses I fed this to. I went through 2 of the great big bags so they were on it for quite a while, just shy of a year I think. This product very well could work for some horses, it just didn't work for mine. I personally feel like the success rate on feed-through products for arthritis is a bit of a gamble and it just didn't pan out for me this time.

Great results, such a difference!
Put my mare on this as a maintenance supplement after rehabbing a hock injury. After a few weeks on she is definitely much more spry and willing to kick her heels up in turnout! Absolutely made a huge difference and have no trouble with her eating the pellets.

Great supplement
So far I love this supplement! My 16 year old TB mare, who I event, has been on this for a little over a month and seems much more comfortable. I had switched her over to the Smartvite perform senior until I realized that had no joint support. Once I realized why my horse was so stiff I ordered this as soon as I could. I can tell she is definitely more comfortable. She's not too picky and eats this with no problems.

Horse won’t eat
I was excited to try this supplement on our horse to replace a more costly senior joint supplement but he refused to eat it. We are going to try the regular leg up joint next to see if it’s the turmeric he doesn’t like.

Great results for price!
I started my mare on this instead of the regular leg up joint support which was also great. The senior leg up joint was not available when I began the supplement process but now that my mare is 20 I figured why not choose the senior option for her. She seems comfortable and well on this version.

Just plain works!
I got this to try for my soon to be 36yo QH mare and have had great results. She's very arthritic, especially her knees. She can no longer bend them for very long to allow my farrier to trim her front feet. It would take awhile to get her done. After being on this supplement for a little over a month (I started feeding Dec 2018) at her next appointment, 1/228/19, she was not only able to bend her knee enough for him to trim, she even left it bent on her own! I've tried other senior supplements that worked ok but NEVER had results like that like we did with these pellets! She has not been able to bend her knees like that for about 6 years. I was very impressed! She's also VERY picky and eats these with zero issues. I'll be starting my 33yo TB on these as well!

Good ingredients, great price.
We switched to this primarily for the cost savings, but I also enjoyed that it had both turmeric and yucca. We have 3 horses all in their teens and 20’s and want them to have some joint support; they eat it without a problem.

Great product at affordable price
These pellets are a good product at an even better value. They help my semi-retired horse to be more comfortable and he actually eats them despite being a very picky eater. I wouldn’t say he loves the taste of them but he has no problem eating them when mixed into his grain. Be aware, they aren’t show legal for eventing.

An affordable supplement that will work for some
I bought this supplement for 3 of my horses. For 2 of them it worked fine, they are older with mild to moderate arthritis. For one of my horses it didn't seem to be strong enough, she was previously on the SmartFlex pellets and because she didn't have much soreness or stiffness I figured I would try her on this. It definitely wasn't strong enough for her so I switched her to another SmartPak supplement. I think it is a great option for some horses but may not be a match for all, it's trial and error!

Quick result with my old man!
Two months ago I started King (26, retired ranch horse) on a different senior joint supplement without glucosamine or all those popular ingredients. Within a week he was no longer a grumpy, crabby old man. He trotted daily with his girls in the pasture and after another couple weeks he was cantering and rolling for fun daily. I wanted to give him something with more support and a smaller price tag. We started with this joint supplement because it was half the cost of other supplements, but half the ingredient value. I figured we would try it and if it works for him, keep him at it. It’s been about 2-3 weeks. He eats it fine with his senior feed, and this joint supplement softens with water easily so he doesn’t drop it out. He is not only cantering and rolling for fun, he’s now bucking and hopping and sassy. I love this new personality my guy has without his pain. Definitely approved!
