Minerals Vital for Maintaining Health
Mined from the vast and ancient Himalyan mountains, these licks are a 550 million year old source of minerals and trace elements for your horse or pony. The distinctive rose pink color comes from the salt’s high mineral content, including iron, potassium, and magnesium, which are all vital for maintaining health. Mass-produced salt licks are produced using salt with minerals added in during the manufacturing process, but that’s not the case with Himalayan salt, where the minerals are naturally found within the salt. Himalayan rock salt licks are literally “rock hard,” meaning that horses and ponies are unable to bite chunks off the block, a problem than can occur with softer “pressed” salt licks. These licks are also more weather resistant, which means they can be safely left outside in the field for horses to “self-dose.” We've found that horses like them more than other salt licks! Available in small (2.2 lbs), medium (6.6 lbs) or block (4.4 lbs, 2”x4”x8”). The small and medium licks include a rope. The 4.4lb block fits in most standard salt block holders and does not come with a rope.

Pretty in Pink!
This is the horse version of designer salt. It is pretty, tasty and lasts for a long time. It comes with a rope, so it is easy to hang inside her stall. Our previous one lasted about 3 years, so having a nice salt block is about cheapest investment you can make .

Just what I needed!
I was looking for a salt lick I could hang off the bars in my horses stall with hopes she wouldn't bite chunks off of it. So far so good! It comes with a rope to hang it with, so I was able

Horse loves it!
This is the third one of these I've bought and my horse just loves them. The one I got was rectangular and fit into one of those wall-hanging brackets perfectly. They each last my horse approx 3-4 months.

I have been using the Himalayan salt like for years. Both of my horses love it! It lasts both of them about 3 months each. And I know they are getting their daily salt. Would defiantly recommend!

Convenient and my horses love them

I love all of the Himalayan salt licks that SmartPak carries. My horse loves salt and will destroy other blocks and we just find a mess on the floor (wasted money). These last a long time and we get our monies worth.

Great quality and easy to use.
I had purchased another brand of salt lick and my horse went through it in a few weeks. He's been working on this one going on 6 weeks and it is about 1/2 gone. I think these are a bit harder than other brands, or at least it seems. My horse likes it and it helps give him something to do in his stall. Easy to install and replace.

With all this hot weather in southern california, I wanted to encourage my 2 year old to drink as much as possible. Being young she's shy about new things- refused to eat apples and carrots, and preferring hay to oats. When I first put this in her stall she ignored it. When I checked it again a week later there was a huge smooth indentation from where she had been licking it. Guess she likes it after all!
