It's Working
My mare was started on Grand HA 5 weeks ago. She has been completely sound for two weeks and hopefully it will continue. She is a 24 year old TB who was often stiff and sometimes gimpy at the trot. After researching several products, I chose Grand HA because it has 300 mg of HA vs other products that typically have 100-150 mg or less. She gets one scoop per day. It doesn't have MSM, but she has already been getting MSM separately for a couple of years. Also, she doesn't seem to mind the taste of Grand HA; she eats it right up.

When put in an airtight bag with feed over a week or so, it pulled all moisture out and became rock-hard and inedible, so probably lost all efficiency.

Replaced Surpass!
Horse has a BAD knee and has lost full flexibility of it. Also has arthritis and some bone "remodeling" in it. Vet prescribed Surpass daily before workouts/exercise/riding. I wasn't comfortable with applying "Big Pharma" product on a daily basis so I bought this on a whim. Horse has been comfortable and doesn't need the Surpass as long as he is on this. A couple of times, I've run out and BOY did my horse go downhill without Grand H.A.
Also, gobbles it up without issue. My dog eats it fine too (yes, I started my dog on it as well).

Verdict still out
My 25 year old quarter horse came up lame during a gentle workout. He had been on Cosequin and before that Smartflex Senior for several years for maintenance purposes. After an extensive workup by the vet, there was no clear diagnosis, so I switched to Grand H.A. instead of injecting a possible trouble spot. He is marginally better, but I'm not sure whether it is the H.A. or just time.

It works!
I bought this product 6 weeks ago and my horse is showing the benefits....He has arthritis in both front fetlocks. The ingredients in Grand H.A. are more powerful than in other supplements I have used over the years. My gelding is no longer resistant to flexing his fetlocks nor dragging his toes. I would recommend it to anyone whose horse has arthritis.

Grand Meadow HA 300
This product changes my horses hooves in 3 month!!!! I didnt expect this at all. I havent seen any change in joints, but my horses are more lawn ornaments. Both has slight cracks and a little white line. After 3 months, full dose, hooves are stronger than ever. Farriers are happy too.

My horse loves it
This seems to be a winner. The horse finds it very palatable. She is moving well. It's easy to feed. All good! I've used it for a couple of months so far.

Expensive but seems to work
We only used this for a short time before the horse needed to move from our barn. It did reduce need for shots and so did save money from that respect. Sometimes you have to look at the whole picture and not the cost of just one item.

Won't ever be w/o it
My horse was treated for osteoarthritis (coffin joint), having had IRAP and shockwave treatments in 2009. I've added Grand HA to his regular glucosamine joint supplement in order to increase the HA and chondroitin, and he's been sound and comfortable in moderate work for 4 years now. I double the dose in times when he works more strenuously, but it really makes a difference in controlling inflammation and overall comfort level.

Horse beyond help.
The powder needs to be hidden in beet pulp. I wish there was a pelleted form. I couldn't tell a difference in my horse, but I think his arthritic fetlocks were too far gone to be helped.

Best Joint Supp!
I've tried several different joint supplements for my mare who has a tilted pelvis that causes her some joint issues. None compare to this! My trainer recently commented that she is moving better than ever. She has a much more pleasant attitude towards working now. Moving better all around.
It smells like candy. Like pixie stix. And my horse loves it! The powder goes everywhere dry, so I splash a little water on her grain, just enough to get the powder to stick to the food, so she's getting the full dose and not blowing it all around when she breathes!

Great product
I have been using this on our 17 year old gelding who had started showing signs of stiffness and soreness in his joints about two months ago and he has shown a marked improvement in his movements. He is a much happier boy. Love that this product doesnt have any extra stuff in it that isn't needed. Only wish it came in pellet form. My boy prefers pellets over poweder so I make sure I mix it with rice brand along with his Senior Pellets and BL Pellets.

Picky horse didn't approve
I had my aged horse on a half dose of this product. She has Cushings, so I don't like to put her on anything with glucosamine and was excited to find a product like this that doesn't contain it. She ate this for about 8 days and looked and felt fantastic on it. She wasn't stiff or tight and was frolicking around her paddock. However, after about a week, she stopped eating it and refused to touch her grain if she smelled this. I think it's a great product, but my mare didn't approve. I would love to see this in a palatable pellet form because she is much more accepting of pellets than powders.

This supplement changed my aged gelding's life!
After going through several leg injuries, I thought my older retired hunter gelding would never work again. With the help of some other supplements, he was making great strides in soundness. Sadly, he still seemed sore and stiff in his joints and just MSM wasn't doing it for him anymore. I began researching other lines of joint supplements and with the help of my vet, came upon Grand HA. After just weeks of this product he was reverting to his old ways. Now, months later, he has decided he's a four-year-old again! My poor old gelding who couldn't take two trot strides without wanting to give up is now BUCKING and BOLTING with my poor beginner riders, for no reason other than he just wants us to know how fantastic he's feeling. I'd never seen such animated lead changes out of him before! He already struggles with conformation issues, but you would never know that nor that he had tendon injuries now that he's on this supplement. I'm happy beyond words. Thank you, SmartPak, for giving me my fun-loving boy back.

Made a HUGE difference
I put my gelding on this product in the hopes that it would help his joints. He has had injections done before, and I knew the source of the problem was his joints productivity of reproducing the fluid. I did some research and decided to give this a try. It did take about 2.5-3 months for me to see any real changes, but once the product was in his system and started working there was a DRAMATIC difference. He went from being a grumpy sour horse, that was visibly uncomfortable in his hocks, to a horse that wants to work and one that you can barely tell that his joints are weak. Although he never was lame due to his joints, I can happily see that he is much more comfortable and no longer sore, he has even started bucking and playing in turnout (something I never saw before this product). I am hoping that if I keep him on this product he will not require injections in the future. So far, this is the best supplement that I have ever used. Thank you Smartpak and Grand HA!

I only use half
I only write reviews for products I REALLY like. I started using this product a long time ago and knew it was making a difference on my older horse's joints. For whatever reason, I stopped using it (probably $) and over time noticed my gelding getting stiffer. After starting back, the product again made a BIG difference. SPECIAL NOTE: I only use half the recommended dosage and this does VERY well.

Wanted a high dose of HA
My horse has arthritic changes and I wanted a high potency HA product that did not contain glucosamine. This product fits both criteria.
Although it does not contain MSM, which would be desireable, I find it is effective.
However, I also give monthly Adequan and Legend injections...so it is hard to tease out the relative benefit of each.
All together, along with Back On Track products, I have a comfortable horse, that is moving well after several significant....and usually career endiing....injuries.

will keep using HA
I decided to start my 8 yr. old horse on HA hoping that it would protect her joints as she is being trained in dressage. She has no problems at this time so to really test the HA, I started my 20+ yr. old retired horse on it also as a test case. I dosed her at a third of the recommended dosage to save some money. She suffers from OCD in her right hock and HA seems to have made her life much more enjoyable. Watching her convinced me that HA does work so my younger horse will remain on the HA at the full dose.

Great Product - it works
I noticed a difference within a week of giving this to my horse. He moves better since starting the Grand HA. I do wish it contained MSM like the Synergy but I prefer the plain HA due to the higher HA and collagen so will have to add MSM supplement seperately for now. I will keep him on this. Great product.

Helps reduce joint swelling
This product works very well and reduced swelling in an old injury my horse had. Does not work as well or as quickly as Conquer gel. Conquer gel worked incredibly fast and reduced the swelling in three days down to nothing. I switched to this product as an alternative to the syringe dose with Conquer but find that Conquer works better.

Great Product
I used this on my horse at half dosage for navicular and joint issues, adding it to the full dose of Smartflex Senior Pellets she was already taking. Within only a couple of months she is moving around like her usual spry, mischievous self. It's greatly improved her mobility

palatable for picky eaters
While it is unclear whether this product is superior over other joint supplements, two things are evident: 1) contains collagen which some evidence-based research has shown is beneficial for joint health and repair; and 2) is palatable for picky eaters.

FAvorite HA Supplement!
I have tried numerous HA supplements over the years and Grand HA is by far my favorite! The amount of available HA per serving is more than double the average dose in most other supplements. The addition of collagen is a big plus as research now shows Type II collagen to be extremely valuable in maintainging joint health. It also costs less than many other highly-rated HA products and works as well if not much better! My horse has hock and stifle issues and Grand HA has really made a difference in how she moves. I'm impressed!

outstanding joint supplement
I have used this product for a month now. My 18 year old QH western pleasure gelding developed a swollen right hock. He was never lame nor showed any stiffness or signs of pain. After talking with my vet we used surpass on it for 10 days. this helped but I started him on the Grand Flex HA, after 4 weeks his hock is almost normal. I am not using the surpass and he was never taken out of training, I am still having it xrayed in 2 weeks. I am very happy with the results and since this is the only thing I added I have to beleive it is doing a good job!

Great Results!
I have just completed my first month using Grand HA and the results are terrific. My 6 year old Appendix Quarter Horse was beginning to exhibit signs of hock trouble. Difficulty with the farrier working on his back feet, when he is usually a gem, not wanting to collect and work off his hind end, general soreness - all issues we hadn't had before. After just one month, he is light on his feet again and feels like a new horse. He is also bucking out in pasture like I didn't think he knew how! I was skeptical, but now I couldn't be happier!

help for arthritic joints
I recently starting giving Grand HA to my 21 year old TB, who raced when he was a youngster, to address stiffness and sticking in his knee joints from arthritis. There has been a noticeable improvement in his knees since starting him on Grand HA a few weeks ago. Time will tell if he continues to improve over the next six to eight weeks. He is a very picky eater, and ate the Grand HA right up in his feed.
