Rated 5 out of 5 by PoloGal from Worked wonderfully - no more bony ponies :) Polo: made a huge difference in a short time with my polo horse who came from Argentina and struggle with the 6-month shift of her winter/summer schedule. Even with blankets she got thin and bony in winter, and this supplement help make a major difference through New England spring and in 2 months also helped her begin shedding to a lovely new coat!

I had him on another weight gain for a whole month and saw little to negative results, he’s been on this for 2 weeks and he is back to his plump energetic self!! I though I was hitting the dreaded senior weight years at 19 on my thoroughbred but this stuff is a miracle worker!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lalala from Works so well! I absolutely love Fat-Cat. I’m so impressed with the muscle growth and development of my young horse after being on this. I used this with a combination of Smart and Simple DMG and Smart and Simple Vitamin E to help support muscle recovery as well, and the combination has been exceptional. I’m just 2 months (going on 3 now), my young horse has gained muscle in all the gaps in his top line and is filling out beautifully. Everyone has commented on how different he looks now that he has some muscle. I use the 2 scoop dosage, and also incorporated hill work, trot poles, and lunging in the pessoa rig into his routine. In combination with a well thought out exercise routine, this supplement just does wonders. I researched through all the different supplements and I liked that this one has a little bit of fat in it to help horses burn that and build muscle. My horse in particular is a leaner guy so adding in a little fat helped him convert to muscle faster. The price is also fantastic. I’m bumping him down to the maintenance dose of 1 scoop after these fabulous results and will monitor to see if he keeps the muscle on with the lower dose. It’s also very palatable! My horse is picky and he licks the bowl clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anne from Very Happy with this! It’s a long story, but I inherited two geldings, one 12 y/o and one 24 y/o. I couldn’t personally keep them, so they went to somebody. She ended up starving them both, so I made haste to move them. I’ve been feeding this to my senior consistently for 2 weeks and he’s already filled out a good bit. Very happy with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LBatt from Great for picky hard to keep thoroughbred! I have an older thoroughbred who is super hard to keep weight on! We started this after finding grains and amounts that seem to work for him. So far we are two months in - he no longer dropping weight, he happily eats it (its pretty sweet - have cherry/almond flavoring...yes I tried it...its not bad!). So far I haven't seen any energy spikes to be concerned with (I know some people have mentioned it) - but TBD once the ring de-ices and we start riding more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by OkieGranny from Actually works I have an older Arabian stallion and an even OLDER Arabian gelding. After last winter they had both lost a lot of weight. Had their teeth floated again, bumped up their feed. They've always had free access to high quality grass hay and they have a pretty good pasture. I added the Fat Cat because they just weren't putting on weight. It took a couple of months but they are both back in really good shape. Much easier to feed than top dressing with oil!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kcwolfcat from Fat-Cat works well Been feeding 2 months. This is the second time I've used Fat-Cat for a horse in need of weight and muscle. Feeding twice a day (scoops divided into two feedings) with Nutrena Triumph textured 14% protein. Free feed brome hay. Not currently in training though will start soon. Will be adjusting portions soon.
