Wormer - Easy to use
My mare accepted this wormer very nicely and didn't make that "awful bad taste face" that I've gotten with other wormer's I've used. A fine product. Very easy to measure the correct dose and easy to maneuver and administer.

Great wormer
I have been using this as part of my rotation for about 3 years and it really works. After I use it, is when the vet come outs for my boy's semi annual shots and i usually fo an egg count test and he comes back with a zero after using this. I will continue.

i am positive equimax is an excellent dewormer because i do fecal load testing before worming & after to make sure we are using the right wormer or if we even need a wormer. after using equimax the parasite loads are "0" or almost non-existent.

Love the quantity
I love how Equimax doses up to 1300 lbs. The average warmblood is not 1000 lbs and the extra bit in the tube makes figuring out the number of tubes necessary much easier.

Equimax wormer
A useful component in the context of comprehensive rotational programs. However, horse owners should continually monitor the latest research on parasite control, which points to widespread resistance of parasites to the most widely used wormers, and suggests that efforts to control parasites should be tailored to individual situations. Equimax combines the action of Ivermectin 1.87% with praziquantel 14.03 % which makes it an anthelmintic and a boticidal treatment. Anecdotal evidence suggests it may aid in eliminating neck threadworms.

The only thing for tapes!
Equimax is great! It's the only thing I use for tapes in the spring/fall and I've never had a bad reaction to this product. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but the quality and efficacy of Equimax far outweigh the cost!

Stop the itchies.
I was having problems with two of my horses itching constantly. In my research, I discovered that it was possible that they had been under dosed, over the years, with wormers. This led to threadworms not being under control, thus itching non-stop. Further research suggested that they be double dosed with Equimax, two weeks apart. The result is fantastic > no more itch at all for one and the other is greatly improved.

Good as it Gets
I've done a lot of reading about worming. I only use Pfizer products because of the chart they produce to explain which product manages which creatures. Never had a negative reaction and horses seem agreeable to ingest. However, I wish the industry would make up its mind on the "rotate vs. not to rotate" worming products. Would like to see Pfizer package 2 fecal egg test kits with their worming products (for pre and post worming) to make it an easy choice to see exactly which products our horses need. If we could eliminate the products that are not necessary wouldn't that help reduce the resistance problem?

Excellent Wormer
I'm very pleased with how well this wormer works. I've been using it for some time now and the horses always test negative for any sort of parasites after worming, and I've never had a case of any digestive side effects - although I do give probiotics the day prior to worming and the day after. As a bonus, my horses seem to find the taste the least objectionable as compared to other wormers I had used in the past. This product is certainly worth the little bit of extra cost as compared to most other wormers.

Great Fall Dewormer
I needed a good dewormer that had both ivermectin and parziquantel and given that the only other product that has this combination has been shown to cause burns in the mouths of some horses (its on the labeling) this was my only ption. however, I was very pleased with how my horses like this dewormer. My horse that I have to mix his wormer in with grain ate it very easily with not even a dropped crumb and he is often a little sloppy, so he seemed to really actually like it! My other horse, who is normally fairly easy to just deworm by hand was unbelievably easy and didn't lick or dribble any of this at all. Over all the palatablilty seemed fantastic, they both handled the chemicals in it well and it did the job it needed to do. It is not the cheapest dewormer on the market, but for this combination it is a great value, and the quality is definitely high. Overall I would highly reccomend it for anyone wanting the Ivermectin/Parziquantel combination.
