Really works for allergies!!
After speaking with the Kentucky Equine Research institute about my 5-year-old mare's seasonal allergies, complete with severe itching and nonstop hives, they recommended that I give this to her as a top dress onto her normal feed. She gets Triple Crown Balancer Timothy cubes and I just drizzle this on the top.
Brought her in for a dermatology appointment and had her tested for a lot of different environmental allergens and the dermatologist mentioned that the EFAs can definitely inhibit histamine. I'm super happy to say that as a result of her being on the EO-3 For about 5 weeks, her largest reactions were much smaller than expected!
So bottom line is, although we are going to move forward with the allergy shots, the EFAs are definitely working as part of reducing her reactions - so if you have a horse suffering, try this out in addition to the other methods!! It takes some time to start working and I didn't notice a difference until about 3-4 weeks of use, which may be even a little early.
(Side note) I've also had her in a fly sheet that has helped some - at least for the bug bites. I use the Bucas Zebra fly sheet and it's not only adorable but it actually does work to reduce the flies on her!
I can't get the photos to upload so I'll try a bit later.
P.S. Make sure that you buy a pump to go with the bottle! Makes it much easier to administer.

All 3 horses eat it!
Even my picky eaters eat this when mixed with grain. I’ve seen a difference in cost, weight gain, and recovery time. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

Great Omega Fatty Acids Source
Great product nutritionally if you are looking for something with high Omega content. Only drawback it the cherry flavor took my horse some getting used to and he is not normally picky at all. I am looking forward to trying this in the new minty apple flavor which I think will help.

Amazing results
We bought this product as a hopeful final answer to our COPD horses needs. I have bought every product under the sun to help them but nothing was working successfully. After using this product our seven Heaves sufferers could breathe, go back to work, and are competing successfully for the first time in years. The only con to this product is the lack of palatability. It took three weeks for the horses to eat a full two pump serving.

Too early
Too early to tell if it works for our OTTB with DJD or our pony with RAO, but they readily ate their mash with the added oil. I know others have mentioned their horse did not eat it, but neither of ours hesitated to eat their food when added to their alfalfa/Timothy mash with supplements.

My mare that eats everything won’t eat it.
My mare took one smell of this and turned away. She came back to her feed bowl and tried so hard to eat it. We poured it over crypto aero grain that she LOVES. She took a bite and shook her hood like she was trying to figure o spit it out. She couldn’t finish it. The bubble gum scent doesn’t work for her.

Great Product!
My suspicious TB mare was turned off by the cherry smell at first but after a couple days of trying to pick around it she finally ate it up and figured out she actually liked it. I think the cherry smell is what turns most horses off at first (better then fishy smell in my opinion!) but once they finally try it they find that they like the taste. I stared off only putting a little in then working my way up to the full 1oz each feeding. I noticed a difference in her coat pretty quickly. She always had a nice looking coat but after starting EO-3 it became exceptional, especially when she grew in her winter hair.

Wish my horse liked it
I mixed this with my horses salt & magnesium supplements, then mixed it with some of his pelleted feed. He left a portion of it untouched. When I use flax oil or coconut oil he eats it all. I really like that DHA & EPA are available for absorption w/o conversion. Sad he didnt like it.

Really works but Smells Bad.
This is a great product and my ponies that are itchy are much better on EO-3. I suppose no matter how much bubblegum flavor you put in fish oil it won't smell better. So, if you don't mind an initial blast of bubblegum (think bazooka) with an after smell of dead fish so your pony's coat is less itchy and his general health is boosted then you should buy this product. Be prepared to use a syringe for a while until they get used to it. I have two ponies that will now chase you down for their slug of EO-3 and one that is "whatever". Just don't expect them to eat it at first. Expensive which is why only 4 stars.

Don't know if it works, my horses won't eat
Upon a recommendation from an Equine Nutritionist I decided to give this a try. None of my horses will touch their food with it. SmartPak recommended trying sugar free applesauce or sweetening with Stevia.

Awesome Product!
I bought this expecting my *extremely* picky eater wouldn't touch it. (I'm talking he won't touch his food if something he doesn't like is in it) He actually eats it really well!! The smell is REALLY strong like bubble gum (which is a turn off to me but oh well). This is by far the BEST ratio of omega 3 to 6 you can buy on the market. I was using Equine Omega Complete, however, I will be switching to this product from now on. It is WELL worth the money.

no go.
My horse would have no part of this. I tried pouring molasses on his grain and he still wouldn't touch it.

It's a good product, but my horse will NOT touch it in any food so I have to syringe it down her throat. I am hoping eventually she will eat it in her food now that she has gotten used to the taste, but so far that has not happened.

Bubblegum smell, but it works!
I was looking for something to reduce inflammation and help my navicular horse be more comfortable. I first bought an equine fish oil advertised all over Facebook, however, the ratio of Omega 3's to Omega 6's in that oil is not what I thought my mare needed. In my research I found KER EO-3 oil and the ratio of the Omegas is perfect! I bought it thru Smart Pak and added it to mushies (Timothy pellets watered down). She would not eat it. I even tried to hand feed it to her. She tried to eat it, but spit it out. I left it in her bucket (which is attached to the stall door) and in the morning it was all gone. She has eaten it ever since with no problems. She even nickers for it. In the month or so she has been EO-3 oil I have noticed her coat become much more soft and shiny and her soreness in her navicular foot is definitely less. With the added benefits of the Omega 3 to other parts of her body she is looking overall more healthy. I would definitely recommend giving this product a try.

Overpowering (terrible) bubblegum smell
I was surprised how strong this smelled when I opened the container. The oil doesn't have much flavor but the smell is really overpowering and smells kind of like super artificial (don't know how to describe it) awful bubblegum. My horse wouldn't touch even a tiny amount in his feed and then wouldn't eat out of that feed tub! I washed it with soap and water but it took a day for the smell to dissipate and him to be willing to eat out of the tub again. Thankfully SmartPak gave me a merchandise credit for the product. A friend's horse who eats anything is on this supplement but my horse gave it a major "hoof down".

Not Palatable
Was really excited to try this supplement. My horse has a chronic cough and omegas are great for that as well as many other things. Unfortunately he took a big bite and spit it back out. Very strong bubblegum smell and my horse hated the taste. Thanks to SmartPak for giving me a full refund!

Seeing Results
We havebeen using the EO3 for a couple of months now. And we're seeing the results on my horses coat and he seems to be doing much better with his coughing. He is also on an antihistamine. Not sure what is helping the coughing....but he looks GREAT. And he loves the taste of it.

Good supplement but faulty lid
I bought this about a month ago for my horse showing neuro symptoms since this addition helps reduce inflammation everywhere. After researching the benefits and loving this company as I feed my horses elevate and joint armor as well... I started both horses on this too. I bought the large gallon size. After 2 weeks the lid wouldn't screw tight anymore. Of course somehow it got knocked over and I lost it all. Pretty upsetting given it was a hundred dollars. That should not happen.

Stinks but Effective
I've been using this with my dressage mare for over a year now, and three things have been positively affected: 1. her coat is shinier with more dapples and less hair breakage. 2. her skin is not nearly as dry and irritated, and her skin allergies (small itchy bumps to different products) have subsided substantially, as well as her reactions to bug bites. 3. her legs do not stock up anymore, nor is there any mild inflammation in her hocks like she had before. So, yeah, it smells like fishy bubblegum, and some horses probably won't take to it, but she IS a picky eater and will eat it all, albeit slowly. I highly recommend this oil, in spite of the smell.
