For joint health this is the real deal
I have used Cosequin for my horses since it came out on the market. I take the human version myself and would rather give up getting my nails or hair done than have to give up my Cosamin ASU! It simply works and this formula is better than ever. I really believe that the purity of the assays used in Nutramax products is key their efficacy, for humans, equines, canines and kitties!

Cosequin ASU Plus
I wasn't sure if the addition of HA justified the higher price, but after using this for a couple of months, it is worth every penny. My horse is moving great and eats it with no problem. Cosequin products are the ONLY joint supplements that I have ever used and seen an improvement. I will keep my horse on this supplement as long as it is financially feasible.

This actually seems to help!
My picky eater actually eats the Cosequin ASU. He is a 14 year old hunter that was used pretty hard before I got him and has a lot of "creakiness" in his hind end. He gets regular chiropractic, etc., but this product actually seems to help him out. I noticed a difference in about a week after the loading dose.

Noticeable difference in horse!
Typically dieting warmup the horses right side is weaker and doesn't track under as much. I noticed within a week that he is moving more evenly underneath himself. It is making a big difference.

Happy pony!!
My horse has been on cosequin asu plus for two months. Can see a difference in her gait. She seems to be moving smoother with hopefully less pain.

Great first line approach to joint issues--
I have been skeptical of joint supplements from what I have read. I believe Cosequin ASU is working. Its effects are supple. My 8yo IDSH has very mild fedlock effusions which my vet said could/ could not be contributing to her attitude. She clearly had bigger issues with cystic ovaries which we have addressed. I have changed several things lately (tack-wise) so it could be that combination. Nevertheless, she looks to be moving better in the field.

My horse likes the flavor
I bought this product with hopes to help a horse we took into our rescue. He had broken his hip and has muscle atrophy. The x-rays show he now has osteoarthritis but, the bone has healed. People had told me about the expensive price of this product and that it had not worked on their horses but, I was not ready to give up on Cody. As soon as the product arrived I was disappointed in the size as it was referred to as a "bucket". This is a small container and as a rescue money is short. But, I began the loading dose the same day it arrived and have now worked my way down to half a scoop as a daily dose. Cody didn't mind the powder and seemed to enjoy the flavor. After 2 weeks Cody began to run. When I saw him galloping towards me, my heart soared to watch him move.
There were 2 days that I had to have someone here to feed as I needed to be away and due to a mix up, Cody didn't get the Cosequin. I noticed right away when I returned that his movement was slowed and a little stiff. I can not tell you that this is a miracle drug, I can not tell you that Cody will ever ride again but, I can tell you that I can see some improvement. As a daily routine I will be keeping him on the Cosequin and hold onto faith that he will continue to live a good life and show more improvement and possibly rebuild a little muscle. Time will tell.

Believe it helps.
Used this in the past and I believe it helped extend the time between other maintenance. Have always been unsure of the powder form so I moisten or use a little oil to help it stick to his grain. Never had a problem with his eating it although sometimes some is in the bottom of his bin.

Very good product
I have tried many products for joints and was pleasantly surprised how much this helped my quarterhorse gelding move around better. I would have liked a pellet instead of a powder as it is hard to get him to eat it all without putting it in a syringe w/applesauce, but overall the results have been better than I hoped. I would order this product again. I did think it was kind of expensive for the size of the container.

Awesome product!
My 15 yr old appendix could not be moving better! She has been diagnosed with both OCD (surgery in 2002) and PSSM (no sugar). My vet at Chino Valley Equine insisted this is the best supplement. He was right! It's pricey no doubt, but to see how my horse moves now that she's on it is worth it!

My picky eater gobbles this down - it has a strong apple smell so he really surprised me by never hesitating. His stiffness at the beginning of each ride is GONE, and this is not his first joint supplement. Definitely will keep him on this supplement.

Great product, way too pricey
This is what my vet recommended after my TB tore a suspensory ligament severely. He has been on Cosequin ASU Plus for over a year and, while he still needs plenty of time to warm up before work, he has never been lame and he seems to like the taste.
I would only complain that it is way too expensive and costs me more than $80 per month to feed. On top of the prices of hay and grain, it makes his feed regime more expensive than mine! If there was a less expensive alternative I would switch in a heartbeat. But since there isn't at present, the Cosequin ASU Plus is worth it since he can work every day without pain and it protects his joints from further injury and arthritis.

25 year old Paint acts like 5 year old
My Paint has needed Bute before each ride due to the arthritis in his right front leg. Other than that, he is in excellent shape and health. People are shocked when they find out his true age.
I started him on Cosequin ASU Plus a month ago and have not had to use Bute once. He is actually quite a handful all of the time now, I guess because he feels so good.
I have to lunge him before i ride him to blow off his steam!
I HIGHLY recommend this product. HE is a picky eater and is not crazy about the taste, but he does eat it.

Incredibly happy!
I purchased a Warmblood yearling in February that showed a small OCD lesion on his fetlock in the radiographs. I immediately started him on the loading dose and carried through with the maintenance dose following. Now, 8 months later, we re-xrayed him and it has completely resolved!! I am absolutely thrilled!!
