I'm not sure how I feel about this supplement. My horse eats it, but he eats anything. I really want to say that he is moving better...but it depends on the day.

Great Product
This supplement has made a huge difference in the comfort of my horse and her joints. It is expensive, perhaps the only drawback, but for me it is worth the added cost. My mare loves it and she is very picky about what she eats.

I can't say these are realted BUT...
My horse fractured his navicular which usually means the end of their career. While treating him with multiple treatments (shock therapy, tildren, IRAP, etc.) I left him on his Cosequin ASU. He has been sound since about the third week after beginning treatment. I can't say that they are related but I am sure the Cosequin helped in some way. All of his joints received additional stress and he was never unusually stiff or sore. It has been two years and we haven't had any side effects on other parts of the body AND he is sound under tack, wtc and living out!

Big improvement
After my 7yr TB gelding had knee surgery to remove bone chips he didnt make a full recovery and after injecting his knee and putting him on Adequan to make him comfortable we decided to add Cosquin ASU and to my surprise it made a huge difference in less than a month. Not only is he sound he's moving better than ever. :) He and another jumper I have, both OTTB's are both moving great and there pretty cranky when there not happy, thats not the case now. I have used many other pricey joint supplements over the years and must say Im very satisfied. The only negative is that my pickier TB is not a fan of the taste but still finishes it.

Best joint supplement for the $$
My vet recommended Cosequin ASU when I asked her about adding a joint supplement to keep Johnny's joints healthy. I've used the standard Cosequin in the past--it was the only thing that kept my arthritic previous OTTB rideable. Johnny has no lameness issues now, and I want to keep it that way. He's an eventer, and even after hard gallops and gymnastic days, there's never even a hint of joint soreness. Yeah, Cosequin is pretty costly, but it's a lot cheaper than a new horse!

Good all around supplement
I like Cosequin ASU for my barn. I have all my own horses on joint supplement and I wanted a product that the whole barn could use. We all chip in and all horses are on it - this includes my frieisan, my saddlebred (both dressage) my 30 yr old retired tb mare and the borders horses range from a 5 yr old to a 23 yr old. Great product for all the horses with different stages of training and health issues. We all notice a great change in motion of joints and horses overall soundness

Worth the price, which was low!
My horse Adam lives eating his Cosequin ASU! He gets brought in every morning and eats it right up! It is very palatable. Adam has some arthritis which is why he is on the supplement, and with it he has pep in his step! Never takes a sore step!! :-)

Very effective
My carriage driving teacher recommended trying Cosequin ASU for some minor stiffness he noticed during one of our lessons. About two weeks later, I started noticing some decreased tightness and "protectiveness" in my horse's movement and within 4-6 weeks the signs of relaxation and movement increased significantly. Three months into the use now and he is moving more comfortably and loosely than in a long time - so we can now safely add to that with more range of motion and exercises. Definitely a good product for us.

My horse had a problem with joint pain and arthritis and this product was recommended by our vet to help treat the pain and inflamation in his joints. He is now able to lie down and get up much easier than before using the Cosequin ASU

AWESOME!!
AMAZED & AWESOME PRODUCT!!!! So i Saw this product advertised on TV. So i did my research and being that this product had such good reviews i figured i would try it.. So in my situation i have a 28 year old gelding.. It had gotten to the point i knew that i had to make a decision about him because his arthritis was so bad, and weight was was just dropping off. Somedays he wouldn't even want to move. It was so hard for me to clean his feet due to his arthritis. It killed me to even think about calling the vet, because i know what he was going to say. So i figures i would try this product before any drastic decisions were made. Its only been about 3 weeks that he has been on it And i see a difference. I see a livelier horse and more mobil horse. And now when its feeding time instead of him just standing there he actually is moving pretty fast for an old guy. I am very surprised this product has made such a difference in such a short time. The word about this product needs to be spread. I have recommended it to people that are in the same situation with there horses. Im thanking god i found this product. Rocky (GElding) can now be with us and comfortable for a little longer Then i expected. .. HOPE this helped everyone debating about this product.. P.S. The individual packs and the container they ship it in was great.. :)

This Works!! The Best Yet!
My 12 year old mare had a problem with a locking stifle with some arthritis. On her bad days, I would give her Bute to help her relieve her discomfort. For the last year, her pace coming in from the pasture for dinner would not be more than a fast walk. And she always was the last horse to arrive. I could hardly believe my eyes when the other day she actually galloped in --the first to arrive. I can only deem that this stuff really works!! I've used other joint supplements, but none have been as good as this one. Seeing is Believing! Although pricey, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. Also, her stifle has quit locking up since using this product.

I recently switched over to Cosequin ASU and have noticed a big difference in my horse's movement. He is typically a picky eater, but the CosequinASU seems to taste fine to him. I highly recommend this product.

I take the human supplement!
Great product! I was taking the human Cosequin ASU supplement first and felt so good that I thought my horse would benefit too! The other joint supplement she was on made all four of her legs stock up. Soon as I changed to the Cosequin ASU her legs were normal each and every day.

Expensive but it works
I have a 25 year old quarter horse mare who has terrible arthritis. She used to be ridden daily by both jumping and western reining students so both her knees and hocks are well worn. She is retired now but I was worried about how uncomfortable she seemed. I tried her on one of the liquid glucosamine supplements before - I had to mix with molasses to get her to touch it and I didn't see much improvement. I switched to Cosequin ASU despite the price just to see if it was worth it. It is. She eats it without a problem and hasn't seemed stiff or lame since the first month I put her on it.

I switched my horse from Cosequin to Cosequin ASU about a month ago...I noticed a change in him after about 2 weeks. This product is amazing! He is going better than he has in quite a while! I had some trouble getting him to eat the loading dose for the first couple of days, but then he was eating it happily.

Keeps my baby like his old self!
I have been giving this to my 32 yr old 1/2 perch/tb, 1/2 QH for a year or so because he started to show pain in his hips - especially going downhill. He lives outside 24/7 and is defiant, preferring not to come in if at all possible. Cosequin ASU has given him his life back. He is now the first one down the hill after meals. He is able to roll and get back up. He trots up the hill when he is late for meals and has been seen to buck here and there! We keep him in a field with a hill to keep him moving around but when it gets really muddy, we do have to supplement with bute because his hips get sore catching himself going downhill, so it is not a cure-all. But overall, I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to see my baby acting like a kid because he feels good, and it is Cosequin ASU that is helping him feel that way.

I wonder sometimes..
Within the first week we had my mare on trial to buy, the vet check said she had a navicular cyst. We put her on this the day after. I've had her for 10 months. She was sound for 4 months then went on/off lame for 4 months and now she's pretty sound again, sometimes a little ouchy. Her knee has always cracked when you pick it up, and it still does.. I sometimes wonder if this supplement actually does anything or not- especially for the high price you pay- but I rather not take her off it and find out.

No other supplement compares!
I have used many different joint supplements on my horses, I use it for my 17.2 shire/tb to maintain healthy joints, before I put him on it he was a little stiff and clumsy, and I saw a dramatic improvement once we started it. He's much more free moving now. I also use it on my 25 yo paint mare (retired) for her severely arthritic knee. There was dramatic improvement in her movement. She stumbles around and is in clear pain when not on it, and afterwards she can be seen cantering around her paddock, clearly feeling great! When I got my 17 yo dutch gelding I put him on smartflex repair, and saw no such improvements. I am going to try legend injections for him (because he is my fancy show pony!) but if he doesn't show dramatic improvements I will definitely be putting him on ASU. Great joint supplement, I think all horses should be on something to maintain healthy joints, and this is the one I would recommend!

Cosequin ASU
My horse Spotlite is a great granddaughter of Seatle Slew, and was used as a brood mare. They did not take care of her feet or her too well. She kept having feet and tendon problems. Since using the Cosequin she is her perky beautiful self again. Her gentleness is beyond compare. Best purchase I ever made, besides Spotlite, of course.

A step up
I've heard from my vet and others that the ASU had some other great effects that can't be covered on the label so I switched to it. I have an older gelding who is doing great on it, as well as a dressage performance mare. So far so good!
