Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product My vet recommended that I use this on my horse after she lost weight during the winter. While there were other contributing circumstances I do think it helped. She's now back to her normal weight. She's normally a picky eater but this was not difficult to get into her but she does love peppermint!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Panacur Powerpac Well, my filly took all the does without a problem and we are waiting to re-sample her manure to check the egg count. She was at a very high 1328, that is why we chose the Panacur Powerpac.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stuff I just got a new Thoroughbred and had to give him the Panacur series for his new home. My trainer always recommends this wormer program for a new horse coming in. He took it just fine. I've never had a problem with administering it so it must be pretty good if he's eating it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from spring worming My vet recommended I use this on my yearling colts, and I'm waiting to see if they bloom a bit more in this slow spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wormer works great Wormer was very easy to administer. My horse didn't seem to mind the taste, especially since he had to take it for 5 days straight!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely worth trying My ottb just wasn't putting on weight and last spring when all of the other horses were shedding out and nice and slick, he was still holding on to patches of his winter fur. He did not look good at all! I had tried different supplements(I won't list them all!), increasing his feed, beet pulp, more hay, rice bran supplement, name it and I probably tried it. I could not get weight on him. Someone suggested the panacur powerpac just in case maybe there were some worms that his regular worming wasn't getting rid of. She had said that she saw a horse just totally change after doing this powerpak. I thought hey, worth a try. Shortly after I did the powerpak I also consulted with a biochemist who specializes in feed for the top racehorses. I put him on her feed and supplements, and I believe a combination of the powerpak plus getting him on a more specialized feed, the weight finally went on and he hasn't lost any since. I actually have had to cut his feed back a bit because he was almost looking a little chubby over the winter! Anyway, highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from just completed the treatment since i just completed this, can't say if my horse will improve or not, though he was good to begin with, and i would expect could only get better with a good worming. this was easy to administer, and even mr. picky accepted it! i was expecting the opposite, so am really happy it went so well. didn't make him feel bad during the treatment, so i was glad of that as well, though i still gave him the week off. would use it again as needed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be a great product but ... I didn't get the results I'd hoped for. My horses are on a daily dewormer, but are still thinner than I'd like. They've seen the dentist (uber expensive - not just a float), been treated for ulcers (uber expensive), get great hay (uber expensive), get 9 pounds of Ultium a day (uber expensive), and get 8 ounces of Ultimate Finish 100 a day. I was really hoping the relatively inexpensive Powerpac was going to do the trick. But, sadly, it didn't. So, as I said, it could be a great product, but it's obviously not what's keeping my horses from reaching their ultimate weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from April & October, use it every year! For as long as I've owned my own horses, I've done the April/October rounds of a Panacur Powerpac. It really gets everything, and half-way through the doses I can really tell a difference in my horses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value! The Panacur Powerpac is great as a "boost" to your rotational worming program. We also use it in single tubes as a "double strength" in our rotational program. We save quite a bit purchasing it this way rather than single tubes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worming Powerpac seems very effective as an alternating therapy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good idea Pancur power is an effective and safe way of removing long-term bots. It is the first time I have used this product (I used it on both horses- one mustang and one Friesian). The stool quality improved immediately. I plan to use this product yearly with my animals. That said, it's pretty expensive. I hope it goes down in price. The horses hate being wormed and after the second day get progressively harder. I got good at sneaking in and catching them off guard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy ! We 'Power Pak' our horses once a year to clean them out of any possible stubborn worms.Smartpak's Powerpak has done a wonderful job. On fecal counts our horses are clean and we don't have to worry that we are missing things that will harm them in the future. A great buy for a necessary product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it works My 25 yo mare, even though being wormed on a regular basis, had high count of worms when i had received the results of her fecal sample. She had lost a lot of weight. Within a month of using the power PAC she gained it back. Great product and works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Great! My horse was underweight and had a very dull coat, during my semi-yearly vet exam, the vet asked to take a fecal sample to see if any parasites were present (which would lead to his low weight) -- the tests came back and he showed signs of parasites living in the walls of his intestines. I was upset because I religiously give my horse his monthly wormer, but that didnt cut it. After doing this Power Pak, I IMMEDIATELY saw improvement. He was much less irritable and had started gaining weight and has gotten a much shiner and healthy looking coat. This product worked great. My horse didn't mind taking it either, the dosage is pretty large so it was a lot for him to take at one time, but he didn't mind the taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A product that does what it is supposed to. Product does what it says it does and when adding a new animal to the farm especially iwth a sketchy history this is one product we choose to always use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to work I give my horse a power pack once a year and it seems to get the job done. I've never had a problem with worms so far. My horse is never thrilled to get it but if I was him I wouldn't be thrilled either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Necessary evil My mare is very, very sensitive and picky and already hates to be wormed. It's bad enough when I have to do it once every three months (as recommended for our area by my vet), but at least enough time elapses betewen wormings that I think she "forgets" how much she hates it, and so I can kind of sneak up on her and just stuff the ivermectin syringe in her mouth. Plus the ivermectin doesn't seem to taste that bad to my mrae. But FIVE DAYS IN A ROW of double-dosed fenbendazole? It's absolute torture for both of us, since the memory of what the syringe looks and tastes like is fresh in her mind, and plus I think this must taste REALLY awful, as my mare will just stand there miserably and stiffly with her mouth tightly shut, refusing to eat or drink for up to an hour after I get the dose in her. So by day 3, when she sees me coming, there's no fooling her. :( Nevertheless, this is supposedly the only product that will get rid of all stages of encysted larvae, so I feel it has to be done...thus, I battle through days 3, 4, and 5, LOL. My mare is shiny and healthy and in good weight, and I do this every other year in April (plus ivermectin every 3 months, and then Equimax in winter and Quest Plus in late summer), so I would imagine it's working (admittedly, I don't get fecal egg counts, but I honestly don't know any other owner who does). I have also used this with previous horses to good effect (but again, any intelligent horse will come to resent 5 days straight of worming IMHO!! LOL). Thus, I recommend this as a necessary evil! I have heard, though, that one shouldn't do it in a wormy horse or a horse with unknown worming history, as the massive kill-off of worms could really hurt them (just use ivermectin for a while in these horses until a solid history has been established, then consider doing a PowerPac).
