Go green for turnout with the sustainable SmartPak Deluxe High Neck Turnout Blanket with Earth Friendly Material. The tough 1200D ripstop exterior is made of RePET®, a fabric created from recycled plastic. Each blanket saves approximately 315 water bottles from going into a landfill! The extended neck provides more coverage and protection against inclement weather as well as a great fit for horses with high withers. The blanket still has all the features and dependability you know and love about Deluxe turnouts, with the added bonus of being better for the environment. Its uncompromising quality and construction include breathable waterproofing to keep your horse warm, dry, and protected, silky nylon lining that's smooth against his coat, generous shoulder gussets for freedom of movement, and a roomy tail flap. Quick-clip front closures make taking this blanket on and off a breeze, and combined with cross-belly surcingles and nylon/elastic leg straps, provide a secure, adjustable fit.

Great quality, not a very good fit for a big horse
This is the second Deluxe I bought for my horse that wears an 84". I love the fit of the first one! I purchased in 2021, they have changed the cut, and this one definitely fits worse. There is less fabric in the neck/shoulders and because of that this rubs his mane out. The one I bought in 2021 fits perfectly and has never rubbed his mane. He's a thick 84-this cut would be best on a dainty 84. Will be selling this blanket after this season....I do have this blanket for my 72" horse and it's a PERFECT fit for her all around. Overall great quality, waterproof even in the PNW! Just unhappy with the fit.

My mare has been wearing this for almost 3 months and this is how I found it this morning. If she wasn’t bomb proof this could’ve definitely caused injury. Very poor quality for the price I paid. I’ve had other, less expensive blankets that have lasted longer. Do not recommend and will never buy from this brand again.

Front snap broke in less than 24 hours
I purchased this - it delivered last week, I put it on my horse yesterday at 2pm and as of today at noon, the hardware (the top front snap) was broken. Defective? Bad luck? It can't be the horse being hard on it - there was no turnout today due to weather - so I'm not sure if the hardware on this blanket is just cheap, or I have bad luck. While I like the fundamental cut and fit of the blanket, in good conscience I cannot recommend it. It did not even last 24 hours on a horse on stall rest who does not rough up her blankets.

Amazong quality for price
Love this blanket. Just purchased two more. My horses both have the sheets and now have the 100g fill for those slightly more chilly nights. My only suggestion to smartpak is to give the option for leg straps or a tail strap. I wish all of these came with tail straps instead of leg straps. These smartpak blankets easily stayed centered on the horses and are durable. If you get the correct size they don't slide around. Both my horses are easy on blankets.

Good blanket, shoulder gussets too short
I love the burgundy color scheme and the recycled PET fabric. I have found these to be durable, waterproof, and true to size. BUT, the shoulder gussets need to be 6" longer to allow their shoulders to move. Constraining their shoulders all day just gives them sore backs.

Fell apart
I bough this blanket last winter. My horse wore it 3 days last winter, 5 days this winter and the tail flap is falling off! No rips or tears just stitching failing. Since I bought it last year, I only got a partial refund. So I’d have to spend over $100.00 for a replacement. I’m sorry, but a $200 pulse blanket should last more than 8 days. Really disappointed in the quality and the fact that Smartpak wouldn’t stand behind their product

My horse loves it!!
I’ve had this blanket for about a month or so. It’s perfect. I love the high neck. No more pressure directly on his withers. It’s totally waterproof and really gives plenty of shoulder room. This blanket is really perfect.

Really nice blanket
Material is durable for turnout, love the color. It fits on the big side for my 15.3hh Quarter Horse but the straps make adjusting it easy.

Not worth it
Just started using the blanket this season as I bought it towards the end of winter 2022. March 2022. Used it for first time November 2022. Month later trim/binding is coming off. Defective or poor quality....

Dependable Winter Blanket
Nothing but good to say about the SmartPak Deluxe High Neck. I purchased this for my high withered gelding 6+ years ago. Yes the buckles are rusty, but that’s expected. No rips. No tears. No leaks or issues. A tough and reliable horse blanket.
