Essential amino acids for protein production
Tri Amino™ Powder provides the essential amino acids to help maintain strong muscles, support a healthy topline, and assist in protein production. Essential amino acids means that if they are not provided in adequate amounts, body productions will be limited. As horses, lysine, methionine, and threonine are not produced on their own and therefore can be supplied in their diet. Lysine and threonine are the most likely to be deficient and if found in low amounts can limit the body’s ability to build muscle. A deficiency in methionine affects muscle function and synthesis of structural proteins such as as hoof, connective tissue, and hair health. Lysine and threonine also aid in immune function and is involved in bone health. Tri Amino offers these protein building block in their pure forms, working together to support your horse’s overall body condition and create ideal protein levels for muscle building and function.

Horse likes it, smartpaks leak and waste it.
My horse seems to like it and it helps her topline. I wouldn't recommend getting it as part of a smartpak.
I find smartpaks aren't well sealed these days and the powder supplements spill all over. It's a mess and a waste of money. If I continue this I will do it in bulk.

i absolutely love this for my senior (29yro) rescue <3 i’ve been worried about his condition and muscle since he was extremely neglected for 5 years before i got the chance to help him and i’ve seen improvement in the short time i’ve used this for him :)

Waste of money.
My mare won't touch it. She's not picky at all but wouldn't touch this at all. I thought I'd canceled my order and I was billed and it shipped yet again. Disappointed.

Noticeable difference
I've noticed a difference in my 8 year old OTTB topline. A barn mate randomly complimented that he looks beefier. He's in moderate work 4-5 days per week. He's not a super picky eater and eats it eventually. It smells like maple syrup. I do wish it came in pellets. The price on this product is really good for what you get.

Seems to work!
My 12 yr old FriesianX seemed to be less energetic as last Summer wore on. He is on a grass hay only diet. I added TriAmino to his supplements a month ago and he has perked up back to his old self. Of course the Winter weather helps, so I will be interested in how he is responding when the weather turns warm again, but so far, so good. I've seen other reviewers criticize the taste, but Leo has no problem eating this up with his nighttime grain.

Super useful for my easy keeper
My mare is IR and needs minimized calories. Even a ration balancer has too much "filler". So she gets a vitamin/mineral supplement, and I recently added a scoop of Tri Amino because I was worried tgat she wasn't getting enough protein. The results are great - she had more energy and the most beautiful dapples and nice coat. (Photo shows her having gotten into a place she shouldn't have, but that's another story... Just look at those dapples! She is not clipped.)

My horse was out of work for a bit and lost a lot of muscle during that period. Shortly before he was able to start working again, I decided to put him on Tri-Amino. All I can say is, Wow. The difference in how he looks/feels/moves is night and day. He is building and maintaining muscle so well. He's been on Tri-Amino for a little over two months, and it didn't take anywhere close to that long to start noticing a difference. Now -- I'm not saying this progress is entirely due to this supplement. He is in solid, consistent, slow-and-steady work. However, when I bought him a few years ago, he was also quite under-muscled, and the progress didn't come as quickly then as it has now with the addition of Tri-Amino into the equation. Especially at this price point, I have no plans to remove this supplement from his menu.

Horses hated it
Tried this from my farrier's recommendation to help my mare's hooves. None of my horses wanted to eat it. 2 out of 3 will eat anything and they didn't like it.
