The First HA Product With 300 mg Per Serving
Grand HA represents the first hyaluronic acid product for horses that provides a dosage level of 300 mg HA per serving. Grand HA contains Biocell Collagen II, a triple-patented ingredient that, through a complex hydrolyzing process, causes the molecular size of the HA and the chondroitin sulfate to be reduced in size to 1/90th of their original sizes, presumably making it more easily absorbed into the bloodstream. The other revolutionary aspect to Biocell Collagen II is the way the ingredients closely replicate the actual form of cartilage in the joint. By providing a combination of Collagen II, the main structure of cartilage, depolymerized chondroitin sulfate, and HA, it matches the key structures that support healthy joint function.

Nothing Short Of Awesome
The horse I use this product on has issues on his fronts, he has a broken back pastern axis which is controlled by a good trim taking the toe back, he also knuckles forward if he's set up too high, so his trim has to be just right for him to stay balanced. Even with a balanced trim he would very often trip every 10-15mins.
I had him on hyalone hyaluronic acid for 2yrs Dr De Paolo's product, I just never really new if that product was doing much, his hocks would click sometimes and he would resist letting me pick up his hind feet. But never any lameness or soreness.
I started him on HA Grand first and he didn't like the taste much, but the ingredients in this product are awesome, I instantly seen great results with the HA Grand, this product is for joints but also geared towards soft tissue, tendons, ligaments, cartilage.
In spite of him not gulping it down in a flash I kept him on it because in 1hr instead of tripping 4+ times it was down to 1-2 trips which was significant improvement.
I literally saw results within a few days of using it, which blew my mind because I always thought it took 6wks to get into their system.
With a little more research I found Total joint care, wow, this horse went from 1-2 trips per hour to no tripping at all on most days, now maybe once a wk he will trip 1 time.
Before we figured out this horses trim cycle he literally would fall down.
I loved the results of the HA Grand so I alternate between the Total Joint Care & The HA Grand daily, this horse now falls into the category of every other horse, he trips here and there.
It's been a process trying to figure out the best supplements for him, but hands down I recommend these 2 products. Also no more resisting on his hind legs when picking his feet & the clicking has gone.
I always thought a liquid HA was better than a powder but I don't believe that is true anymore, not with this horse in any case.
The Total Joint Care is geared towards joints more than the HA Grand.It contains all the joint care ingredients in high doses, it has everything you need. It does contain MSM which makes some horses crazy, but fortunately that hasn't been the case with this guy.
I believe this horse also had a lack of synovial fluid around his joints and these products rectified the problem.
Definitely give these 2 product s a try if you're looking for an all round joint supplement combined with soft tissue supplement. If your horse is prone to tendon or ligament issues this product contain collagen to help strengthen the fibers.
The Total Joint Care is a little pricey, but I've paid a little less for a product that didn't have any benefits after 2yrs so..
If the taste is an issue, I just add half a cup more pellets now and he likes it much better, both of these products are in powder form so wetting the pellets and making a mash is better then mixing the powder in, will make it more palatable.

My horse refuse to eat it
My TB refused to eat the grain with this supplement. I tried to hand feed him with his favorite sweet feed. He literally spitted it out.

Loser in the taste test
I ordered this in Smartpaks for both my horses and neither of them will touch it. These two horses will eat nearly anything, about as far from picky as you can get but nope, they are having no part of this stuff. So in order not to waste it all I am left mixing it with a liquid and trying to syringe to them daily. Definitely not fun, especially since the powder is extremely sticky and messy when wet. I really like the ingredients but I haven't noticed any change. Not sure if that's due to having to mix it first or not. I will look for something else or go back to my previous HA supplement when this is gone. It has less HA in it but my horses eat it no problem.

great product
have had two 10yr old geldings on it for the past 2 months, one of them had joints that you could actually hear crack when he moved. that now has completely stopped and he is moving very freely great attitude to back up the fact that he is feeling great

Ok product, not for my horse
While the contents of the supplement are great, my horse, who is usually not fussy at all, didn't like the taste of the powder. While the smell was nice, it was very sticky, I think a liquid version might have worked better. I switched her to smartflex senior and she seems to prefer that.

Used for my Senior mare
I've had my retired hunter mare on this for years. It keeps her happy and comfortable without breaking the bank. She's a picky eater and isn't a fan of the loading dose, but eats the normal dose just fine.

Still on the fence
I started my horse on a joint supplement on a trainer recommendation. I was hoping he would love Smartpak samples, but picky picky. Luckily the my other horse gobbled up the Smartpak and is doing well on their supplement. Grand Meadows was the last resort. GM sent me samples directly. He loves GM supplements, but more importantly I want to see him moving less stiffly. It appears it is working, I am waiting to see if the trainer notices anything after I attend the clinic in 6 weeks. The one issue w/Grand HA it's a very fine powder. I mixed it up w/his flax and vitamin supplement, so it does not get wasted.

Grand HA truly is grand!
My barrel horse has been on this for the last 6 weeks along with some R&R. He went from dead lame, every joint in his body going bad at once, to now broncing across the paddock to get his grain. Between this and Previcox and Absorbtine Flex+Max, it has saved him a life of pain and soreness due to dry beat up joints.
