Not as good as some
About a month ago I took my OTTB off of Kombat Boots and put him on this. The entire time he was on the Kombat Boots he never had an abscess or any feet trouble. We are a month into feeding Glanzen 3 and he is hood sore with a brewing abscess. The only thing this supplement has done for him is make him a bit more calm.

Impressive supplement
I have a yearling friesian/Percheron that I put on this with the triple crown gold balancer. She gets free choice hay and a little alfalfa. Her diet has been balanced by a professional. I really think it’s this supplement though that has improved her the most. She is mellow and levelheaded, and was in her first clinic ever on ground work and was well behaved. She also has dapples….. I have never seen a black horse have dapples. Her hooves are healthy and hard too. I’m definitely keeping her on this, and it’s cheaper to order through Smartpak than the actual company too. I do wish that Smartpak would carry horsetech “Black 3” though as well. I would adjust your horse slowly to it and maybe wet it down, it’s a lot of powder in a serving though.

Super Convenient
My TB mare is on Glanzen 3 and the Horse Tech website was experiencing difficulties when I went to re-order. So I figured I would give Smart Pak a shot and not only was it in stock, but it was also less expensive than direct from the company!. I will be ordering it from Smart Pak from now on!

Would prefer pellets
My 26 yr old OTTB eats most of it. But I do believe it would all be eaten if it were pelleted. His demeanor seems calmer (he's not so wound up all the time) and his coat is very shiny even now in winter.

Strengthens hooves
My gelding has no qualms about eating this product (although he has never been a picky eater). After struggling for a year with weak hooves (soft soles and cracks), there is a noticeable difference and his soles are finally hardening. Even the farrier noticed the improvement. After trying other products, I’d highly recommend starting your hoof supplement search with Glanzen!

Excellent product, horses readily consume it!
After feeding this product for 3 weeks we noticed an immense improvement in our mare's topline, belly and haircoat. We immediately put our entire barn on it. Our gelding's attitude has improved and he is less nervous consuming this product. Our winters are tough, long, and cold here and the horses have remained comfortable longer and we have been able to delay putting their winter blankets on them.

Excellent for Hooves and Coat
I have been giving Glanzen to my Irish Draft for about two years now and it made a significant difference in his hooves - he's a big boy about 17H but feet were on the brittle side - with in a few months on Glanzen the new hoof coming in was stronger. I found that my boy also like peeled bananas and dried banana chips and will eat anything, any supplement, with either banana added or peppermint added. My friends with Icelandic horses has the Iceys on Glanzen and have positive results. As to his coat, I find that it sheds out easier come spring with a shiny coat coming through.
