LOVE this product!!!!
My horse was textbook for impaction colics. At the change of every spring and fall he would get an impaction. He was never a big drinker and would not eat or drink electrolytes. I started him on tract guard in 2003 and he has been great since. He drinks much better and knock on wood no more impactions. His coat looks better and he is a very happy healthy performance horse. At 19 years of age he is still going strong and running barrels!

Wonderful!
A friend was given a months supply of Tractgard, and she asked me to look up the product and see what I thought before she gave it to her horse.
I found the product on Smartpak's website, and started reading the other reviews..
We have two horses in our barn with chronic watery stool, the vet is stumped-we have tried everything. So I figured what the heck, and ordered the largest available tub.
Within 12 days both horses had normal stool. I let them run out of Tractgard, and within two weeks both of them had watery stool again. They won't be off the Tractgard again!

Seems to be helping
I started a 5 year old gelding with a history of mild gastric upsets on this product 6 weeks ago. So far, I have not seen any of the usual minor discomfort he used to have every 2 weeks or so. I chose TractGard because of the buffering ingredient, even though this horse has been cleared as not having actual ulcers, and the digestive aides. As of now, I'm a fan and may start a couple of my geriatric cases on it as a preventative measure.

Not a tummy problem but a tooth
I really like foxden products. So when I thought my gelding was having possible ulcer problems I started him on it before the vet was able to come out. I found out that his problem was his five year old caps were bothering him and when that was taken care of things settled down. It did seem to help though before the vet was able to get there, so it did help. should I have a real ulcer problem this is one that I will use again.

Reliable product
I have a 35 year old Arabian gelding with only 5 grinding teeth left and they don't line up with each other. Needless to say, I have this boy on pelleted feed, and have had him on it for about the last 5 years. TractGard has helped to keep his manure consistent and his digestion in good order. I think that this product is very effective.

This product is great! I recently started giving it to my OTTB gelding, as a precaution because it was hard getting weight on him. With this supplement as well as with a new diet program, he is gaining the weight I had hoped to see on him. I am sure that this product plays a big role in helping him to digest his food better!

Good Purchase
This has really helped with my horse's ulcers! I tried another ulcer supplement that didn't seem to do anything, but after I switched to this one my mare gained back some weight and seemed a lot more comfortable. It hasn't worked wonders yet, but I would definitely recommend it.

Definately a very good product
Tract Guard has really helped a new horse we bought that seemingly has sporadic issues of non eating. This is a big hard working rope horse that 96% of the time cleans up his hay. There were some days when he just flipped it around and ate nothing. Since incorporating this into his diet he cleans every last piece of feed. Looks great too!

This stuff works!
When ever i would take my guy to shows he would refuse to eat. I put him on tractgard and he started eating again. He's a really picky eater, i can't get him to eat any other kind of supplement but he just gobbles this stuff up. It's amazing!

Works!
Since we got her several years ago, one of our Paint mares has had diarrhea whenever hay would be changed or sometimes even randomly. Probios sometimes helped, but other times she’d still be left with an icky butt that would have to be scrubbed clean. TractGuard has gotten rid of 98% of her diarrhea! She seems much happier (and we are too, butt scrubbing isn’t fun!) and eats it with no problem. Probios, even in treat form, were almost impossible to get her to eat without all kinds of treats and tempting goodies. Plus, Smartpaks are great, since sometimes I can’t get to the barn and they make feeding supplements easy for others! TractGuard is a great buy; it’s cheap, it works, and it’s palatable.

LOVE IT!
I love this product and it works well on my horse. My horse had a real bad colic that required vet intervention and panned on about 4 days this past summer. He is on a NSAID pain reliever and thats hard on his stomach, plus he has never been one to drink enough water. After the colic I looked into these products. I purchased and have been using this for a couple months and I have definitely seen improvements in my horse. For one he drinks more water, its amazing!
Also I took the supplement from the barn for almost a week to make baggies of supplements at home and by the fourth day he didn't feel well, pawing in his stall and having a small colic episode. I immediately took it back out and he has been great. This helps prevent stomach ulcers from the pain reliever and keeps him drinking water! He will be on this for life!

Great for Chronic Diarrhea
My 6yo mare had consistent diarrhea. She had a very heavy show schedule, which obviously did not help the problem. By the end of the first week, she was completely solid, and her gut is obviously much happier. Would highly recommend! Worked FAST and WELL.

good buy
I purchased tract guard for my horse who would get some stomach upset/gas when travelling. I have a friend that uses it and swears by it. I like that it has electolytes along with the antacid and that it is in pellet form. I used Tractguard about a month before my next show. At the show, my horse did not have any gas problems and finished all his food.

Didn't seem to help...
I bought this product after having my OTTB on the UGuard powder. While on the powder I noticed that he stopped cribbing so much and then I decided to switch him to a pellet, thinking he would like it more. He does eat it without a problem... but he has started cribbing more again (nothing else has changed). I don't believe this product works and once it is finished I will be putting him back on UGuard.

Lookin' Good!
I have an APHA mare (age 8) named Farletta who has uveitis in one eye and has suffered very painful flare-ups which are also quite stressfull and require large amounts of medication (including banamine) to treat/manage.
In October 2010, Farletta had episodes of heavy breathing (almost panting) and sweating. Her vet thought she may be suffering from ulcers as a result of the stress and meds from her uveitis. Based on this diagnosis, I selected this product to try and help Farletta feel better and hoped it would help her gain weight and look healthy again.
I can't say with certainty that the TractGard made all the difference but Farletta is doing fantastic! She is back to her healthy weight and requiring much less grain to maintain it. She is dappled out and has an almost metallic sheen to her coat. She has not suffered anymore episodes of panting and sweating and truly looks like a new horse. I'm very pleased.
It should be noted other things have changed since we started the TractGard including a new boarding stable with much better care and higher quality hay which I'm sure contributed to the improvements. However, I feel the TractGard has made a positive impact and will continue to feed it.
I would also like to add that Farletta is an extremely picky eater and if she even suspects anything unusual is in her feed she will "hold a grudge" and refuse to eat even if you give her new "clean" feed. She readily eats the TractGard!

No more missed meals!
I started my 5yo mare on this last summer because she was unsettled and wouldn't come in to eat. She lives with a herd out in a large pasture and they all come in twice a day to eat. At feed time I would have to go catch her and bring her in. Once she'd been on TractGard for a bit she started coming in and eating really well. Since then I can count on one hand the meals she's missed! I rest easy knowing her gut is healthy and love that she's getting electrolytes daily. The price is pretty hard to beat too! I've also convinced other horse owners at the barn to put their horses on TractGard with fantastic results! No more leaving food in the buckets.

Good value for same results
I replaced a more expensive gut supplement with this for a young TB I'm rehabbing from the track. He is just as comfortable now (and his manure is perfect) and I'm more comfortable with the price! I've been happy with FoxDen products in the past and this seems like a keeper.

Completely Satisfied--Great Product!
I bought this for my OTTB who is prone to stress and ulcers, and is a very hard keeper. He gobbles it up every day with his Senior Feed and his weight has been very steady ever since! I also like that he is getting some electrolytes to help him stay hydrated. The price is unbeatable too--great supplement to add to your program for gastric health without breaking the bank!

Great Product
I love this product! My older thoroughbred is a heavy cribber and used to suffer from gas colic on a regular basis. Since starting him on this product over 3 years ago, we have had absolutely no more expensive vet calls for colic!

Keeps moisture in the gut
My mare had impaction colic a few winters ago. This, and warm water, seem to help prevent that. In summer it provides electrolytes, so I use it all the time. It's inexpensive and effective.

Picky Hardkeeper TB Approved!
I noticed a difference in my mare within a week, ive had a hard time putting weight on and keeping her calm for 6 years! She finally feels good enough to slow down and eat up that grain! instead of pacing and running around in her stall

Great For Hardkeeper TB Mare
I had a hard time putting weight on my mare after spending hundreds of dollars on vets telling me to give her more grain (grain that she wouldnt eat because she was so antsy and nervous) I finally tried this supplement and within 2 weeks I cant see her ribs any more! AMAZING

Best value out there!
My horse was showing early signs of ulcers and he is a hard keeper and picky eater to boot. He was getting a prebiotic along with other separate supplements, but there was still something off. This supplement combines the prebiotic with electrolytes and is very highly palatable for my picky eater. We just finished our first 224 day supply and he is doing great. No more signs of irritability and he's eating and keeping weight on very well. I believe this product has a good mixture of ingredients that compliment each other and it has produced better results than feeding a pre/probiotic alone.
