Instructions for Use:
Manes: Spray the fine mist over the mane and brush or comb through well.
Tails: Hold the tail away from the horse, then gently drop sections of the hair through the mist spray. Brush through with a soft body brush or comb.
For best results, shampoo first with Gallop Shampoo. Can be used on wet or dry hair. Results are immediate and last for up to 2 weeks.

Love the product hate the bottle
The tittle says it all. The spray is awesome helps keep tails clean and tangle free for several days and i can usually about 3 weeks when kept bagged and braided.

Spray Bottle Needs Help ASAP
I have purchased two bottles of this product from two different places, one from a tack store in Montana and one from SmartPak. I'd like to make one thing clear, what's in the bottle is freaking amazing! The bottle it's self is terrible. Both bottles broke on me very quickly and I hadn't even used half the product. I will continue to use this product in it's awful bottle because apparently, I'm a glutton for punishment. In all seriousness, this is honestly the best detangler I've ever used.

Sprayer is junk
Love the product and have been buying it for about 10 years. The new sprayer is garbage, thought the first bottle was a fluke, but the second one did the same thing. I won't buy it again because of the sprayer. I also think the way it sprays is unnecessary, the way it pumps and sprays, why? I can just use the trigger and do the same. It has one job to do......

great product; horrible sprayer
I've used CanterSilk for my horses for years and I think it's the best thing out there. It leaves their tails silky and soft, without turning sticky or attracting dust and dirt. BUT, the new sprayer is horrible! I currently have five bottles of CanterSilk going -- one I can use and four on which the sprayer has stopped working! I just bought a sprayer at my local hardware store I'm going to transfer my CanterSilk to so that I can use it. I love the product and will keep using it, but fix that sprayer! It's making me crazy. If the sprayers worked, CanterSilk would be 5 stars all the way!

Terrible Packaging and Unacceptable Product
The spray mechanism on the bottle failed after a dozen or so uses and the product itself solidified into a pudding like consistency that was impossible to use. I have used this in the past and never had these issues.

I have been using the pink and white bottle for years and love it but this new black bottle stinks I fortunately can pour the contents into the old pink and white bottle so I control the spray not the bottle

Great product but bad sprayer
Just like everyone else says you can only use half the bottle because the packaging is so bad. Also just like everyone else says the product is great. I can't wait for the company to change their packaging in response, but until then I am not going to purchase anymore.

I have only had this product a few days, but I will make sure I have it forever. I sprayed in my horse's tail, which is always caked in mud and tangled, but the comb slid right through it! No tangles! Not to mention it left his mane and tail SO soft. Awesome product. Smells a little like fly spray though, was expecting a better scent.

The packaging was awesome. There was a no spray type of tape on the bottle, quite ingenious!

Works great
I have used this for years. Great product. It has developed a delivery problem. It clogs in the sprayer and wont come out. The new spray bottom was better but then it clogged as well. I will pour it out now because it still works super! Brush just glides through the big Friesian hair

Great product, but..... terrible packaging
This is twice now that I've bought this and been unable to use the bottle. I ended up pouring it out into a generic spray bottle the first time.... and I guess I'll have to do it this second time too. It's a shame because I like this product and when the bottle works, it sprays great. But for whatever reason, it just stops working. Ugh...

Love the product...not the bottle!
I really like this product and have used it for many years...but I have always struggled with its "delivery system". The bottles have been changed, but like many others have said, it still gets to a point at which it just won't work. The product is so good that I won't stop using it, but I would really appreciate it if they could find a spray bottle that will work until the product has been completely used!

Great conditioner, hate the bottle
This conditioner works great, I love it for keeping my mare's very thick tail tangle free and easy to comb. Unfortunately, the bottle is not great. The first one stopped working with half the product left and the next bottle after the second time I used it. I will be looking for a different conditioner.

Love the conditioner but not the new packaging
I have been using this detangler for years and wish it were still in the old white spray bottle. These new sprayers clog and you can't depend on them. My last 3 bottles have done it and it is so frustrating. I also miss being able to buy refill bottles. Unfortunately, I won't be buying this

New bottle... the sprayer is a huge fail!
I've been using this product for years and love it for my horses' thick tails. It detangles without building up and attracting grime. I don't have to mix it with anything; and a little goes a long way, which is very helpful. The old bottles and sprayers were very reliable. I rarely experienced a problem even if I dropped the bottle and damaged the sprayer cap. When I used this new bottle the first time, I thought the sprayer was quite nice. The next day it wouldn't spray at all. I ran warm water over it and it worked. Later the same day it wouldn't work again. The warm water didn't help, and the lever threatened to stop moving at all. I poured the product into another spray bottle. If that's what I'm going to have to do, please just sell the product in a larger volume bottle and don't even include a sprayer. Carr Day & Martin, please resolve this problem! With four horses and busy days, I don't have time for issues such as this; and I would love to continue using this conditioner.

Favorite detangler
I absolutely love this spray. I find if you let it sit for a few minutes, it leaves the hair easy to brush straight through. It keeps my horse's tail nice and smooth for several days after application.

Great product horrible spray bottle
I thought at first I would like the new spray bottle but it's worse than the original. Mine clogged then would soray when it wasn't supposed to. So I cut the bottle with scissors only to find a bag inside. Emptied the contents in an empty fly spray bottle and relabeled it. Will do this for future purchases as well. I love the product. Best on the market. The company needs to come up with a much more usable sprayer and bottle. It's kinda ridiculous!!
