Worked Like a Charm
I bought this pad 3 weeks ago because my saddle was slipping forward. I have a short wide back Friesian with large shoulders. He does not work work well when the saddle restricts his shoulders or rests on the base of his withers. Shimming or using sheepskin pads makes the saddle too tight or changes the over all balance. I read the Smart Pak reviews (which were very helpful) and decided to try the Equifit 1/2 inch thick pad. I used a thin Olgivy baby saddle pad under the Equifit and we were in business. He has gone really well every ride. My saddle feels softer to me and it has not moved forward any more. BTW Check you saddle length - pad is not overly long.

Pretty good
I bought this half pad a couple of weeks ago and it worked well. It stayed off of my horse's withers completely and fit nicely and discreetly under my saddle. Even after a hard jumping lesson, nothing had moved!! I bought the standard thickness, and while it was pretty good, I didn't feel like it was doing enough for a $200 pad so I returned it. I would still recommend this, but I would definitely suggest getting the thicker version if you're looking for actual impact protection.

Extra layer of comfort, for my horse's back
My horse had some back pain issues. This pad has added a layer of comfort. I'm very happy with the results.

The best half pad!
I've tried many half pads but this one is THE best without a doubt. Worth the money. I got the thicker one and it's perfect. My horses saddle is custom to him but after being out of work due to an injury his back changed a little and this pad does the job without being too bulky.

LOVE this pad!!!! 10 stars!!
I adopted a mare with a VERY sensitive back. She had been seen by vets, chiropractors, and massage therapists. Immediately upon mounting (with a properly fitted, lightweight, quality saddle), she would dance and become extremely agitated and unrideable.
I immediately went on-line to look for a therapeutic pad to try and found this one which already had great reviews. I put the pad on, using the same saddle, and she stood quietly for mounting, and our ride was calm and happy, as every one of our rides have been since. She is an absolute angel. I simply cannot say enough about this pad. If you have a horse with a sensitive back, you MUST try this pad.

Fits great and low maintenance
This pad fits great under my 17" Stubben, but my favorite thing about it is how low maintenance it is. Brush off the dust, hose off the sweat, hang dry, no muss or fuss!

I like this pad a lot. It is very effected by the cold weather so I have to stick it to my car when I get to the barn so it's nice and soft by the time I put it on my mare. In hindsight I probably would have ordered the thicker pad for the extra cushion.

Gorgeous Pad but
Bought the extra thick pad after reading other reviews and the thickness of the pad is perfect for my dressage horse. The pad feels very well made. My only complaint is that the spine of the pad is too narrow for my horse with a wide spine channel. It is a little wider then most half pads available today but maynot going to be wide enough for my special needs horse.

Love This Pad
I use this with the Back On Track saddle pad for my horse who is cold backed and he is never fussy anymore. I have tried every pad in the market but nothing works better than this combination. I bought the thinner version and have never had an issue, seriously thinking about ordering the extra thick for the winter when his back gets worse. Overall, my horse loves this pad. It is also very easy to clean and maintain.

Worth Every Penny
After trying several expensive popular fuzzy pads , I found this pad to be worth every penny. My horse struggled with some back pain as well as myself. I had her saddle fitted and methodically focused on back strengthening work and saw very little improvement. With much hesitation on spending another dime on a pad , I gave this pad a try AND i was delighted how well my horse began to move comfortably!! The non-slip and shock absorbing component is for real. Thank you EquiFit!

Nice cushion
This pad is well-formed and stays up off the withers which I like. It's a little large for my 16.5 inch saddle, but functionally that's not a problem. I have seen a version of this pad that is a more open weave with a bit more flexibility which I prefer, but I don't think Equifit is making that one anymore, at least not that I have been able to find.

I purchased the thinner pad initially, and found it wasn't think enough. I then purchased the thick memory foam pad, and it's perfect! Love it and so does my horse.

It's good but could be better
I've seen an older style that was more open weave and flexible that I would have preferred. Would be nice if it came in sizes as my sadde is on the small side.

BEST HALF PAD EVER!
I bought this pad because i loved the Equifit open front t-boots. It has made my saddle fit better on both of my two horses and has helped my back with riding! I HIGHLY recommend this half pad! It is worth every penny and both of my horses felt better when I used the pad. I have a 18in Devoucoux and I was worried it wouldn't fit but it does and it's not bulky at all! I will be buying more Equifit products!

a must for jumpers
I tried this pad at a horseshow, and immediately fell in love (ordered one from smartpak as soon as I got home). My horse seemed very happy, and moved very freely with it. Also, it did not interfere with the fit of my close contact saddle. Equifit is great with shock absorption, and knowing that my horse is completely comfortable when jumping is great. I highly recommend this pad.

well made thin gushy pad
I am quite impressed with this pad. It conforms very well to the back and did not change the fit of my custom dressage saddle. the foam is a nice middle ground between soft and gushy and clearly shock absorbing. The saddle comes off with a very even sweat mark and a happier horse than I had with any other pad combinations I have tried on my sore backed Internediare horse. I have only had for 2 weeks, but it seems very sturdy and easy care.
