Fantastic bridle for the price
I purchased this bridle for my daughter's small 12hh pony based on the good reviews and the price point. I was not disappointed when it arrived! You can tell it's not a "high end" bridle for sure, BUT, the leather is quite nice for the price. I did not have the experience that some others are saying that the leather was "stiff" - I found it to be quite supple right "out of the box". This will serve her well for schooling and perhaps a show or two.

Softens Up Beautifully
I bought this bridle in June of 2019 in the cob size. It fit my 13.2 Quarter Horse-Welsh Pony cross well, nothing was too tight. I've never had experience with very quality leather bridles, so I cannot say how it holds up to nicer bridles, however I can say for a fact the leather did not soften up for me much at all. I'm now using on my 16hh TB and it fits him very well too. I finally buckled down and decided to oil it because conditioner did nothing. I wiped all the pieces down with HOT water, and then took an alcohol pad to get off excess dye. Afterwards I used a liberal amount of Neatsfoot oil and now it feels absolutely lovely. Everything softened up and it feels much nicer now, everything is easy to get into the keepers. The reins are no longer abrasive. 10/10, just oil it.

Fits my girl wonderf
I bought this because I had the Plymouth horse size bridle that is almost identical, but I recently bought a snaffle with bigger rings, and my bridle was already adjusted as small as it could go.
With this one I have room to adjust up or down, and it looks great on my little horse

Not a Great Choice
I have another Plymouth bridle that I love so I had high hopes for this bridle. Sadly, upon trying it on my horse just to make sure it fit, the nose band strap and throat latch strap leather was super wrinkled. I so badly wanted to love it I made the mistake of oiling it, which didn’t help, and now I can’t return it. The leather is completely different from my other Plymouth bridle, and I should’ve returned this as soon as I realized out of the box that the leather was different. Bad choice, spend a little more, might be happier with it. I only gave it two stars cause the nameplate was perfect and the shipping was so fast.

Nice affordable bridle
I bought this about 8 months ago andand use it 3-4 times per week. Excellent value for money and it's holding up well. Nice dark Havana color that does not look painted on. If you are looking for an affordable everyday bridle that could even be cleaned up and taken to a local show buy this bridle!

Nice bridle for the price
I needed a new basic schooling bridle -- nothing fancy, just functional -- and this bridle was just what I was looking for. It was soft and supple right out of the package and fit my big appendix Quarter Horse's head well. Not a fan of the reins though. The lacing is thick with a hard-feeling edge. It seems like they could injure your hands if you rode without gloves and your horse were to pull. I swapped them for an older, more broken-in set. Other than than, I'm pretty happy with the bridle.

Excellent quality for the price
I ordered this for a lesson program. Cleaned and conditioned it and put it on the pony first night. It suppled right up and the kids could easily use it first time on the pony's head.

Great basic bridle!
I bought this bridle for my mustang in a cob size, as I was riding him in my old full sized bridle and it was just a hair too big. The leather is very nice for such an inexpensive bridle, and it looks great on him! The only issue is that the cob nose band was a hair too small, so had to punch an extra hole in it (my mustang has an unusual head - short face but thick nose!). Seeing as the full sized bridles are out of stock until July, and for such a good price, I’ll make it work.

I bought this bridle just to practice in, but when I got it there was mold growing on the leather. Not a big deal I lightly cleaned it all off, it is a nice quality bridle for the price. It is a lot darker color than in the picture. It's almost a black color. Still a great bridle!

Super snazzy little bridle
I am not sure yet how well it will hold up to wear and tear since I just bought it. So far though it's actually very cute on the pony I bought it for. The stitching looks really nice and the leather feels like quality, sturdy leather. I will say that if you are purchasing the pony size for a large pony or one with a larger head, it might run a hair small.

I got a "Cob for my petite thoroughbred's head. Perfect fit. It shows off her cuteness. The leather seems to be excellent quality for the price. The bridle came out of the packaging soft and ready to use. All in all, very happy with this bridle.

This bridle is a great price considering it comes with reins! I purchased the cob size for my large pony and it fits her perfectly. It wasn't too stiff taking it out of the package (however it will be oiled before the next use).

I needed a bridle for one of my horses that is
Being leased out. I didn't want to send him with his Edgewood bridle and needed just a simple schooling one. This bridle was in the right price range and with smartpaks happiness guarantee, it was worth a try! I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The leather is soft right out of the package. This particular horse usually wears an oversize, but after reading other reviews I went with the horse size. It does fit but he could have still gotten the oversized. I cannot speak for durability as he hasn't left

Nice soft leather.
I purchased this bridle in a cob and a horse size, weird fit. I returned both and decided to shop around more. Maybe pay more. The cob nosrband was too small and the horse noseband was too big. Ill probably get the Harwich brand they seem to fit a little more true to size. My horse may just be a odd fit. I love all of smartpak brands I was really bummed when both of these bridles didn't fit.

Nice bridle for schooling
Nice quality leather, comes out fairly supple from the box. Runs BIG! My 17.2 QH/App usually needs everything in oversized, but probably could have fit two of his heads in the oversized so changed it out for horse size and it fits great. Looks very nice, but the leather does scratch easily (can be mostly camouflaged with several layers of oiling). Affordable and for my purposes (schooling), works great.

Great bridle for the price, but runs big.
This bridle is a great value! It comes supple and ready to use. I have oiled it a few times, but had no problems bending the leather to fit my bit, change reins around, etc. Do know this runs large. I have a 17.1hh thoroughbred who usually takes an oversize, but the horse size fits him well with room to spare. Unless you have a massive draft horse, I'd say order the full.

Quality product at low price
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and have found it to be as described. For a cheaper product the quality is very good. It's quite stiff leather, but that may be a plus or minus depending on preference. I have a draft cross so the availability of the "oversize" option was key.
