Great feel, grippy, warm
I have the regular Roeckl Roeck-Grip gloves and love them so wanted to try the winter ones. They are warm without the bulk. I can have a good feel of the reins and great grip. I keep them specific for riding and use other gloves for barn work.

Great Quality and Warmth
I bought these for my daughter for her birthday. We are big Roeckl glove fans, and these gloves don't disappoint! They fit well, and warm, allow you to ride your horse while still maintaining a feel, and are excellent quality!

Awesome gloves
This is my second pair, but my first pair are still going strong. I use them for riding and driving my horses and love the feel and texture of the glove on my hands. I also throw them in the washing machine and they come out perfect!

Warmth without the bulk!
I was apprehensive to spend this much on gloves but wanted a winter glove that I could actually keep on my hands when doing stuff around the barn and when I’m riding. These are great! They’re warm and I can actually keep them on through tacking up. I love that these don’t have the bulk. Highly recommend but I do wish they weren’t so expensive.

These gloves have just the right amount of insulation to keep your fingers warm, but are not bulky. Can easily maintain soft contact with the horse while wearing these gloves.

Great lightweight winter glove
These are my favorite winter glove for a few years. They're perfect for riding in an indoor ring in roughly 30°F and above. Once it gets down below mid-20's, you may want something warmer. Because they're thin, I can tack my horse up easily without taking them off. And the grip is fantastic. They wash well too.

The best winter gloves
These gloves are my go-to winter gloves for riding. They keep my hands warm through out the winter with the fleece lining. They are thin enough that I still have a good feel of my horses mouth and the grip keeps the reins from slipping. These gloves are very high quality and have held up nicely for 2 winters and counting. They fit true to size but may be slightly snug the first few times they are worn.

Disappointing
I purchased these gloves based on other reviews and they were purchased mainly as a warm winter glove, as the description say "winter glove". I found that they do not keep my hands warm, and in fact feel like I'm wearing plastic on my hands. So disappointed that I paid this much for these gloves. Had I not thrown the tags away I would have returned them.

Great grip
Love this brand and glove. This gloves does not allow for any rein slipping....the grip is amazing. I wore them in 35degree temperatures the other day and they kept my hands plenty warm! I would most definitely purchase another pair, as I already have 2 others for show season without the fleece lining!

nice looking glove lightweight
I bought the glove for my daughter as a winter glove in the hope that she wouldn't complain about her hands freezing off! I would say she is happy with them but doesn't think they are enough when the temperature gets really down. Its trying to find the balance between having a glove that's warm enough ( and the interior has a fine furry lining) and one that doesn't hinder the use of your hands. I don't think they are going to be warm enough when its super cold, but for moderately cold weather she said they were ok. I recommend for cold, but not icy cold conditions.

Excellent compromise between warmth and feel
As others have pointed out, this is not a mega warm glove. However, the laws of physics dictate that you cannot both have a super warm glove and the feel for your horse's mouth intact. This is actually a good compromise, and warm enough to ride in. I am thinking of getting a different pair of gloves to wear on top of these for when I am on the ground and the temperatures are well below freezing.

I thought these gloves would be more... substantial. They are pretty thin and I don't think they will hold up for the colder months. I ride in CT and so far they have been okay- but it's only December. It's too late to return them now but I suspect I will need to get another pair for the really cold months. The one advantage to them is that they have great feel becaus they are so thin. I'm remaining optimistic about their warmth but I will most likely be getting a warmer pair. I love roeckl gloves though so I'm really hoping these were worth the money

Winter version of my favorite Roeckl gloves
Roeckl gloves are my absolute favorite, so I decided to try a pair of the Winter Chester for those colder months. I live in the south, so it doesn't get nearly as cold down here as it did when I lived in the Northeast, but I did ride in 30-40° weather with these this past winter, and they definitely helped keep my hands warm. Despite being winter gloves, they are still very sleek and not bulky. They don't detract from my dexterity or mobility at all. Plus, they look very nice, just like the regular Roeckl Chesters.

So soft and comfy
The first day I put these on, they were quite snug (even though I know my glove size), and I was concerned. But by the second and third time I'd worn them, they were much more comfortable. They are slim fitting so you have full movement in your hands but still have a little lining to them for warmth. I definitely wouldn't say they would keep my hands warm in bitter weather, but they se very nice for the 40's and up. I will get a summer version of this glove since they feel so nice.

Soft and warm
Rode in these in single digit weather and my fingers stayed toasty warm! I love that they're not bulky between my fingers and that I can still feel my reins and how my horse feels. Seem like they're well made and will hold up for a while, leather is nice and soft and flexible.

LOVE THEM!!
I've tried several winter riding gloves and found most of the warm ones to be too bulky and the nice fitting ones to be too cold. The Winter Chester Gloves are a perfect combination of fit, function and most of all warmth :)
