Not the One For Me
I like this helmet when I see it on other people, but it didn't fit me well. I needed a more personalized size than just small, medium or large. The large made me look like a mushroom head, and I think the medium would've been too small. I also prefer real leather/suede to the synthetic materials. I sent it back and went for the Samshield. Thank goodness for free and fast shipping at Smartpak! I do think this is a good helmet for the price range though.

Perfect helmet
I bought the One K Defender in black suede about 2 years ago-it is very pretty, light weight, and the vents are perfect for hot Virginia summers! I was amazed to find the small long oval fit absolutely perfectly, my actual size is 7 1/8/22.5”. The liner has just worn out and I’m not sure how to replace that particular liner. I am tempted to buy a navy or gray one-would be great if Smart Pak carried long oval sizes.

Nice looking affordable helmet, but...
I really like the One K helmets - they look great on other riders and the helmet part fit me well. The problem for me is that the chin strap angle from the helmet puts the strap in front of my chin. I tried various shapes and sizes, but unfortunately had to go with another more expensive brand :(

Great Helmet
My daughter loves this helmet. It has so many vents so much more breathable than her old Charles Owen, and the style works better for when she shows Jumpers, but still beautiful for Hunters, whereas the CO is definitely more of Hunter-only style. She loves the sleek elegance of it - even her trainer has the matte version too! The liner allows for a more contoured fit, and I love that it so much easier to clean as it just pulls out for washing, and if it's worn down, I can just order a <$20 replacement. Couldn't do that with CO. For as much as investment as a good helmet should be, this is a BIG selling point for a mom. Only thing, order up in size - i thought we had 1/8-1/4" leeway on the size range listed, but once she puts her hair up for shows, or hot Texas summers days to get it off her neck, it won't fit. We had to exchange immediately after trying, and that took forever (the one downside to SmartPak). but if her hair is down, it's not too spacious so it works! Teen approved!

This helmet did EXACTLY what it was designed to do
Here is a pretty strong review regarding the safety features of this helmet! I was in the field cruising down the gallop stretch and my horse spooked at a couple of loud motorcycles. She went right, I went left. I hit the ground pretty hard, and did a backwards somersault. I sustained an ankle injury, whiplash, and some bumps and bruises, but my helmet thankfully did exactly what it was designed to do and protected my head from the impact. One K also offered to replace my helmet for a fraction of the cost! Great Helmet, Great Company, they have a customer for life here for both myself and my two girls. -One super lucky (mom) rider.

GORGEOUS Color!!
I bought this helmet in gray. It's beautiful! I tried it on immediately. It fit and was incredibly comfortable. I put it back in the dust cover and the box as quickly as possible. I told my barn buddy she wouldn't see it again until I rode in a show. Simply too gorgeous for everyday wear.

I have been a Charles Owen person because someone at a tack store said it fit my head best. Well, I am in love with the One K I bought myself. Super comfortable, vented, stylish and easy to clean. Love it. Follow the size chart and you will be on track!

I've had this helmet for a few months now and it's alright. It's definitely a pretty helmet! The air vents work great. The removable washable liner is a nice feature also. It definitely runs small. And won't fit your head like a Charles owen. If your head is rounder shaped then oval then it's a great helmet!

Good looking but did not fit.
I love the look, the construction, the materials. But this just did not fit my head. I wear a medium but this helmet is too tight across my forehead, so sadly I am returning it. SmartPak, please carry the long oval shapes!!!

Great helmet not a fan of the harness
I wanted to love this helmet. It fit my head great and was very comfortable. The harness was stiff and uncomfortable. Smartpak was awesome (as always) with returns.

Perfect helmet
Fits perfect, super lightweight and extremely comfortable with great air flow, and being able to wash the lining is a HUGE plus! I bought it as a schooling helmet but it looks so good I'm using it for shows. I have been getting compliments on this helmet from everyone!

Very comfy
I bought this helmet 2-3 weeks ago and it is the most comfy thing I've put on my head, it fits well, it shapes to my head, and to add it has great ventilation. Hope this helped if you are looking to buy this helmet. I totally recommend this product

Didn't fit - sent back
I really liked this helmet a lot but I immediately sent it back as soon as it arrived. It didn't fit my head at all. I currently have a Charles Owen AYR8 in 7 3/8." I purchased an XL OneK and it did not fit whatsoever. No fault of One K just was WAY too round for my rather oval head. Planning to order a OneK in Long Oval when I get around to it.

Perfect fit!
I had to get a helmet with a removable liner because of the hot, humid summers here in Ohio so I chose this one. Initially, it felt snug and "almost" too tight but never hurt, pinched or caused a headache like previous helmets I've had. Also, this one is by far the most comfortable and squishy! My last helmet cost $150 more than this one and never fit this well. Will buy again definitely!

Really worth the money!
I have moved from sandy Florida to very rocky Northeast PA a year ago. It occurred to me I had not purchased a new helmet in about 7 years and though now would be a good time to purchase one. The reviews on Smartpak did help with my decision. I was looking for a good helmet but not a super expensive one and I landed on this one. I ordered from Smartpak because I could try it and return it if it didn't fit. I ordered it and it arrived with my regular monthly horse goodies. I put it on, it fit was PERFECT. I love this helmet. It is easy to adjust, comfortable and doesn't move. I forget I have it one but very glad I do.

Great helmet!
The main reason that I purchased this helmet was that it came with a detachable and washable liner. I have now worn it for a few weeks and, while the liner is a nice feature and fits securely on my head, what really impressed me is the amount of airflow that you get through the helmet which helps to keep my head cooler. I also really like the adjustability of the chin strap.

Comfortable and light.
I bought this helmet after my last one which I admittedly had for way too long. (Like 15 years) I am so glad that I got it. It breathes and is lighter than my old helmet, I find that I am able to ride much longer because I am not getting so hot. I look forward to being able to wash the liner and have a fresh helmet.
