Given to my horse with PPID
I have been giving this to my PPID (pituitary disease) mare
for several months. PPID is associated with compromised immune
systems so that’s why I give her this supplement. I have no idea
if it has made any changes in her health, but it can’t hurt. She
won’t eat this pellet unless mixed with a little tasty grain.

Good for baby warts, but made my horses anxious
I purchased this supplement to treat my filly's warts and in the hopes that it would help my older mare perk up a bit, as I was worried her allergies were making her lethargic. As for my filly, she had baby warts, likely from the auction I purchased her from. She was getting warts on warts, her nose was absolutely covered. After 1 or 2 doses of this supplement, they were almost gone. It was amazing!
Unfortunately, in spite of that positive benefit, SmartImmune has made both horses very nervous. My filly is anxious and distracted, as is my extremely level-headed 21-year-old mare. After a single dose of this supplement, my older mare became obsessed with neighboring horses, calling to them for hours and pacing the fence line, which she NEVER does. She also lost weight very quickly (I assume it was water weight).
I took her off the supplement, and her behavior improved over the next few days. I decided to double-check to make sure it was the supplement that caused the problem, only I gave her 1/8 of the dose, and she immediately had the same symptoms. Overnight, her ribs became apparent, she's hollowed out above her eyes, and has an anxious look. Even though she is more alert, she's also very nervous, and that just isn't like her.
Overall, I believe this supplement is very effective, and I have no doubts as to the quality. It definitely helped clear up baby warts. However, both of my horses have had mood/behavioral issues because of it, and I won't be giving it to them anymore.

Gets rid of scratches fast!
I was impressed with all the great reviews, and combined with the Smartpak happiness guarantee I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I was fighting scratches on two of my horses for months on end with daily treatments with every known potential cure, all to no avail. Within a week of starting this supplement the scratches wounds magically started to disappear! Finally!!! This in spite of my decision to completely stop all the backbreaking cleaning and drying and medicating upon starting the supplement. Both horses also had the added benefits of noticeable reductions in goopy itchy eyes and bug bite sensitivity. I also tried it on a third horse who has had treatment-resistant free fecal water syndrome for years after seeing some reviews with success stories. Unfortunately it didn't help his condition within a month so I discontinued. Still, I am thrilled with the results on the scratches-affected horses and plan to continue it with those two. My horses aren't generally fussy eaters and all gobbled up these pellets without a second thought.

This stuff is amazing!
I have a 26 year old mare that has had fecal water syndrome for 5-6 years. I've tried everything. Dexamethasone worked, then didn't. Metronidazole worked, then didn't. I've tried about every supplement for digestive issues on the market. I spent many afternoons washing her butt and tail, in the cold winter and hot summer. I have had her on smart immune for 2 months. It must've started working quickly... no more poopy butt; poop is normal!. She acts like her old young self, she looks better than she has in a long time. She acts happy. My husband and I are happy about this. Thank you, smartpak.

Cleared up Baby Warts!!
My young filly struggled to clear her papillomas warts. It was a bad case all over her muzzle and eyes. I started her on this supplement and they cleared up within about a month! Very happy with this product. Will give her this product during times of stress.

Immune support
Ever since we picked up our now 16-year-old Morgan mare lesson horse four years ago, she always had some sort of immune-related issue whether it was a hypersensitivity to bugs resulting in hives, "goopy" eyes from allergies, fungal infections, you name it, she has had them. After working with the vet and quite a bit of trial and error of different medications, we found a remedy that worked for her overall and could keep her comfortable but I was hoping for something a little bit more to support her, especially because she has a heavy lesson workload and also is our reliable beginner show horse, so she is working hard and traveling quite a bit which can be taxing on their immune system. My vet suggested an immune supplement for her year-round. After reviewing a few options, we decided on SmartImmune as my vet really liked the idea of the additional digestive support this supplement offers for this particular mare in addition to the other comprehensive immune-supporting ingredients. We started this supplement for her in April after she had a bad case of hives like she normally does at the beginning of and throughout summer. After we started giving her SmartImmune she did not have another flare-up with her hives all summer. She also traveled extremely well to all the horse shows that we brought her too this summer (she normally gets loose stool when traveling). We also noticed an overall change in her demeanor that became more pleasant, which we can only assume is due to the fact that she was feeling much better. We will continue to keep her on this supplement throughout the winter into next summer. I will also mention that this mare is usually a very picky eater and she eats this on it's own or mixed in with her ration balancer.

Peace of Mind
My mare has a history of sarcoids. I asked my vet if I should have her on an immune supplement and he didn’t think it was a terrible idea. At first she was unsure of the taste (though I am pairing it with another supplement so I’m not sure if she dislike this supplement or the other) but she is eating it right up now. I haven’t been using this long enough to notice a difference, but my mare eats it and it gives me peace of mind knowing I am doing what I can to give her the immune support she needs.

My horse LOVES the taste
Let me start by saying that my 17 year old OTTB is on LOTS of supplements. He was in 77 races and now he fox hunts with my daughter, so I want to support him as best I can. He eats his other supplements---but is not excited about them. He LOVES the SmartImmune---even more than carrots I think.

My horse unfortunately refused to eat this once I added it into her grain which now she refuses to eat the grain I was giving because she is suspicious of it now. I had to dump out an entire weeks worth of pre made grain bags with all my other supplements in it and switch grain :(
