No changes noted after 2 months
I’ve had my very anxious horse on this for over two months. I don’t particularly feel it’s made any impact. I wanted to give it plenty of time but I’d think I would have seen definitive results by now if it was going to cause any positive change. It’s too expensive to justify continuing and I’m going back to the drawing board.

Smartpak Tranquility and Ultra Calm together!
My 13 yo MFT mare has always been over reactive and anxious and started to be anxious on the trail and being unblanketed. I initially tried Smartpak Tranquility but found that after a month it only took the edge off. I saw a Q&A that I could use Smartpak Tranquility and Smartpak Ultra Calm together and after 56 days, my mare is a totally different horse! She is now very relaxed and calm on the trail even when other horses are reactive and is very calm when being unblanketed. Friends have told me how much calmer she has been and I think Smartpak Tranquility and Ultra Calm made all the difference!

Wonderful supplement for Head Shaking Syndrome
This supplement changed my head shakers life. He was able to go without a nose cover during the day in the SUMMER! It got too expensive so I switched him off it for awhile, but I’m putting him back on it now. It improved his skin sensitivity a lot and helped with his slight nervousness as well, although the main reason he’s on it is for his head shaking syndrome. The amount of magnesium in this supplement would cost a fortune to match with most others.

Caused the Opposite Effect For My Horse
This is the first ever SmartPak supplement that did not work for my horse. I have a 17yo Saddlebred who has had mild-to-moderate spooking during his rides all his life. After consulting with a vet and determining the problem wasn't physical, I decided to try this supplement. Unfortunately these pellets achieved the opposite effect and made my typically-safe horse nearly unrideable. After about a week of this supplement, what started out as slightly annoying spooking/"looking" turned into outright bolting and higher baseline nervousness. After discontinuing the supplement for a week, my horse returned to normal. I'm disappointed because this is my first "bad" experience with SmartPak supplements.

Very bitter taste, horse doesn't like it.
I started my gelding on it about 3 weeks ago. He doesn't like the taste but will nibble at it some throughout the day. Often some still in his feeder next morning. Not sure it's going to work out. Not noticing any calmness yet but will continue for a couple months to finish this bag before revising final review. If I see results and he keeps eating it, rating will go up. If he just stops eating it all together or I see no results after a couple more months it'll be 1 star. I don't know why it can't taste better. Lot of horses don't like a bitter taste. Make it a little sweeter and it would be fine.

Lots of Improvement!
We changed several things around the time I started feeding SmartCalm so I can’t give the supplement all the credit. But I will say my boy is a lot less anxious and has given up many of his nervous behaviors, like biting. No plans to take him off these pellets and test him - I’m extremely pleased with his improved attitude.

I have a picky horse. He wont eat it or anything in his bowl if the supplement is mixed with the grain.
