Sizing
To measure for the best fit, find the circumference of the head. To begin, use a flexible tape measure and place it 1-1/2 cm above the eyebrows, skimming the tops of the ears, take it around the back of the head to the fullest part. Using the rider’s measurement and the chart below, find the corresponding helmet for their size range. Please note that the rider’s hair should be as worn when using the helmet.
The Lynx helmets include a dial-fit system, after fitting the rider for their helmet, adjust the dial so that the helmet fits securely, then adjust the chinstrap.

Safe helmet but with comfort flaws
I purchased this helmet solely because of the MIPS (protection against rotational impacts). I want to like the helmet and it feels very substantial when wearing it. However, there are two comfort flaws. First, it makes my head sweat. It’s not even summer yet and I don’t know how hot it’s going to be when summer gets here. I have a full face mtb helmet that doesn’t make my head this hot. Second, the chin strap sits too far forward. I am still trying to adjust that but adjustment seems to be limited. I have worn the helmet enough that it’s not worth returning, but it’s not as great as I was hoping.

great protection, great price and comfortable to b
I bought this to replace my very expensive Samshield. It was time to replace the helmet and I went with the Lynx because of the ratings it got for safetly. I was pleasantly surprised to find it comfortable, col and actually king of cute as far as looks. I can't rate the durability as I've only had it a short while, but it seems very well puttogether.

Great fit
This helmet not only fits, it is extremely comfortable and easily adjustable. I have a very long oval head, think two slice toaster, and a small face. Helmets NEVER fit right. This helmet fits. I also live in a cold place where hats and headbands of various thickness are necessary for most of the year. This helmet can be adjusted on the fly. It is truely fantastic.

Looks like a skull cap but safest on the market
Ranks #1 in independent testing for safety. Is it the prettiest? No, but the dial adjustable fit is great. Fits me better than the OneK, Samshield, Charles Owen and countless others I tried. For reference, the ovation dial for schooling helmet is the closest fitting helmet for me.

Great helmet, runs somewhat small
After trying the EQ3, I ordered the Lynx in a medium. I am a 6 7/8 round, and I did not have to tighten the fit at all so it does run somewhat small. So far, it has been comfortable, not too heavy, and I like the overall profile better than the EQ3.

Finally a helmet that doesn't give me a headache
I rode with this helmet for the first time yesterday. When I got off I realized, "Oh yeah I'm wearing a helmet," instead of rushing to take it off and get that sweet relief for my slightly squished head. I've spent years in a Charles Owen skull cap, but this is next level for my oval head. It took a while to get it adjusted right at home, and I wasn't at first convinced it was a good fit because it does still fit snug. But the padding inside, the comfy harness, the light weight, the shape. They all make for a way more comfortable ride. And, I love that it has advanced safety features!

Worth the wait
I had been searching for a new helmet for the last two years. I loved my IRH Elite Extreme-great fit and ventilation but disliked the new design. It was past time to be replaced. I had heard about the new MIPS technology and wanted to try the new Trauma Void. I located the EQ locally but it just perched on my head. I was so disappointed. I have an oval shaped head and none of the helmets fit. I had always shied away from adjustable helmets thinking them bulky and unsafe. In the midst of the great helmet hunt I was hospitalized for several months and underwent two craniotomies (not riding related!). Now more than ever I was determined to find my helmet! I made the plunge during helmet awareness day. With Smartpak's return policy I figured I had nothing to lose. Love at first try! I'm not a blingy girl so the matte exterior is perfect. The vents appear small compared to my IRH, but do the job (important as I'm in FL). Best of all the fit is fabulous! I still have screws in my skull and there were no pressure points. As the lining compresses with use I was able to adjust to keep the fit custom. Best of all I know I have the latest technology!

A great comfortable fit
Fits my oval head perfectly, coming down a bit lower than my previous brand of helmet, and feels very secure. The interior padding and the excellent fit make this very comfortable to wear. Fortunately I haven’t come off my horse to know how well it protects my head, but it feels as if there’s much more protection there than in my previous helmet.

Still doesn't really fit oval heads
I am not a fan of dial-fit systems in helmets but really wanted a Trauma Void. The original model was a complete no-go in terms of fit so I had hoped the Lynx would be better. I am a 6 7/8 so I am right smack in the middle of a Medium but unfortunately, decreasing the size with the dial makes the helmet fit rounder. With it tight enough on the sides, the bottom of the dial dug into the back of my skull and if I rocked it forward to alleviate that pain, the helmet was sitting on my eyebrows. I am very disappointed because the helmet looks amazing, frankly much nicer than the Charles Owen MIPS, but I ended up with the CO because it fits. I realize that making a true oval fit helmet in multiple sizes costs a company more but generally there is a reason you mainly find the dial-fit systems in low end helmets. I hope TV eventually does make one - I, for one, would be willing to pay a little more.

Super protection in a stylish package
I was right on the 'dividing line' for size. After speaking with a SmartPak rep, I decided to order a small as my usual helmet size is 6 3/4. The ability to adjust has made this helmet a true custom fit. I previously showed mainly under saddle events but now concentrate on competitive driving. I do ride my horse on days that we don't drive.
I now have eight helmets: now my Trauma Void, Tipperary, Troxel, and Charles Owen - and I love and wear them all. While other ladies wear fancy hats in the pleasure show ring, I wear helmets. For combined driving events, helmets and vests are required for marathon courses and yes, people do have wrecks. Because of the speed and uneven terrain, my Trauma Void helmet will be the one on my head.
I never ride or drive without a helmet. After having four serious falls resulting in three concussions, whiplash, and a fracture to my back, I will never compromise my health but not wearing safety equipment.

The only helmet for me
I bought this helmet to replace a Charles Owen after a fall in which I suffered a moderate concussion. I rode in this helmet for several months and really liked it, even before having another nasty fall involving a horse galloping over the side of my head. Happy to say I'm fine, no broken bones, and shockingly no concussion. Even though the helmet appeared unharmed, I bought a replacement immediately (manufacturer offers 50% off helmet replacement if you register your helmet). I've become a true believer in MIPS, and I won't buy a helmet without it again. The helmet is cool and comfortable, and the adjustable fit makes it sit exactly where it needs to, no matter what my hair is doing. I like the washable liner, and the easy to clean finish. I've showed in this helmet and will continue to.

Perfect fit.
A helmet is a very emotional purchase. You think about what can happen and what it's important job will be in scary situations. This helmet takes away a lot of those worries because of the research done. The fit is so comfortable and adjusting is very easy to get that fit. Lightweight so you forget you are wearing a helmet and cool in this 90 degree weather!

I love the technology and comfort + fits oval head
I love the technology of the TraumaVoid brand. I tried their other model (I believe it is called the EQ3) but that one didn't fit my oval head very well. I was about to give up when I decided to try this model in case it worked better for an oval head. I'm glad I did! I used to ride in a Samshield but got rid of that one to go with this one because of the technology for protecting the noggin. Comfortable and stays cool, even in the triple-digit temperatures where I live in Arizona. I am amazed at the quality for the price point. I'm used to spending $500 or so on a helmet, and I feel like this one gives me even more quality at a surprisingly low price. The dial-to-fit system also works well for if my hair is positioned differently under my helmet one day versus the next (I have waist-length hair, so it can make a big difference whether I have it arranged this way versus that way under the helmet...I love that I don't have to fight with it thanks to the dial-to-fit system.)

Comfortable dial fit, lightweight helmet.
I got this helmet 2 months ago and have used it many times. I'm a distance trail rider and ride 4 different horses, often several a day. This helmet has a dial adjustment in the back and is very comfortable. I ride in the direct sun sometimes and my head has not felt uncomfortably warm. My previous helmet was a fully vented Tipperary and I find this one just as comfortable and light feeling.

Awesome fit!
I love my new Trauma Void helmet! The fit is fantastic, like it was custom made for me. I have an elongated oval head and most helmets do not fit well. I also am very impressed with the technological advances that make it superior protection for my head/brain which has already endured a number of small concussions. Because of this helmet, I have a little more confidence to throw my leg over a horses back and do what I love to do knowing that my head/brain is protected in case of an unexpected horse incident!

The best protection and comfort.
My granddaughter told me her helmet was showing its age, including wear on the harness. She is a working student in Florida dressage barn. My immediate response was to order a new helmet. She's come off a few times, and described symptoms of a mild concussion she never said anything. I purchased a Trauma Void EQ helmet for myself, which I really like for its comfort along with the enhanced level of protection. I sent her another brand to compare, but she preferred the Lynx. I'm pleased that she seletced Trauma Void rather than focus on the current fashionable brands.
