Best grazing muzzle
I have tried many different muzzles and this one is great. They redesigned it. There is a slightly larger hole for grazing. The rubber around the hole seems to be thicker. I have not had to re-enforce the area around the grazing hole as I have with other muzzles. There is padding on the crown and throat areas so no more rubbing. The two straps in front help keep the muzzle in place. The Velcro fasteners make adjustments easy. I only have to take the muzzle off over the horse’s head when she eats her food.

Deluxe Muzzle
I LOVE this muzzle... easy on and breathable are the best two features... BUT the tab holding up the muzzle in the front is the weak link. It can come unstitched. A shoe repair can fix it but it needs reinforcement in the first place. A simple scratching a nose itch can cause that tab to pull out and there goes the purpose of the muzzle. I had MANY muzzles over the years and this one is still the best by far if the manufacturer could just address that one problem.

Extremely well made
I bought this muzzle to reduce the amount of grazing my laminitic horse does. I am thrilled with the design and sturdiness of the muzzle. Daisy keeps it on, doesn't like it...but it stays on. She drinks with it, and can graze a little. This keeps her happy with the other horses. Very well built, easy to put on and take off and adjust as needed

Keeps me and my easy keeper happy!!
I love this grazing muzzle. My guy gets fat on air, and after a scare with founder, he now lives in one of these so he can be out with his buddy 24/7. This is great - I love the padding on the crown, the velcro breakaway (which works, trust me!), and it does what it's supposed to: restricts his food intake, lets him drink, and lets him breathe.
NOW: experience talking here...my guy is rough on his. It lasted about a year for me, before I needed a new one...only because he'd worn the mouth hole bigger! It did take some time to get the adjustment just right so it wouldn't rub, but once you figure it out, it's easy on the next. I do add some vet-wrap on the right side plastic adjuster after we get adjusted, just to cushion it some. And some reflective hi-vis tape to the cheek, so I can find it in the dark on the occasions he's slipped it off.
I love it, we're on #2, I've already ordered #3 for next year to go ahead and have on hand.

Great design
Bought this grazing muzzle a few weeks ago and my pony hasn’t lost it yet! We have tried many different kinds of muzzles and he is always able to escape them! This one, with the v straps on top does the trick without being too overbearing on his little face. Love it!!

not as good as the original
I loved my oringinal one which wore out. Now they made a change to add extra pieces to the front and put velcro on it instead of snaps clips. The front pieces cause it to rub and the velcro is a pain plus velcro new lasts very long. Hopefully they still make the original and this one is just the "deluxe" version. Still better than the ones without the nose holes.

Add some measurements
I bought this muzzle because it was supposed to be larger than the one I had purchased last year. However, sadly, it was too big. It would be helpful if measurements of the product were available such as the depth of the muzzle and the circumference, to help with fit. Thank you.

Will not stay kn
I bought two if these last year at the end of the season. My other muzzles were pretty much worn out. I usually believe that if something is deluxe it must be better. Not the case with these. I’m very disappointed...I have two horses wearing this particular brand. Within an hour they have worked their way out if them. I am now having to buy muzzles again. The lesser expensive version of these.

No matter how many times I adjusted and readjusted this Tough One Deluxe Easy Breathe V Muzzle my horse was able to remove it. I went back to using the old muzzle which he is able to keep on. I thought this one might be a bit more comfortable with the padding and easier breathing with wider breathing holes, but am disappointed in it's ability to stay on the horse. My large standard donkey is now wearing the Tough One Deluxe muzzle and it stays on him.
It is nicely made, however I prefer a snap instead of the velcro - velcro collects too much dirt and hay.

Buckles broke immediately
Two years ago I bought one, horse loved it, and wore it all season with just a few rubs. The rubs were easily handled with a bit of fleece here and there. Last year, late in the season I bought another one (my third) and this time the sliding buckles broke within a few weeks and put holes in my horse's face. I wound up removing all the adjustment buckles and sewing the straps together...then the velcro straps twisted and started rubbing too! The horse "likes" the muzzle when it doesn't rub, but the manufacturer need to use better quality plastic buckles.

Rubs horse's face
This Tough One Easy Breathe Muzzle replaced one that finally wore out. It worked great and fit well, so I was happy to get a new one. Unfortunately the new one fits a little differently so that the metal rings rub the hair off of my horse's face and must be uncomfortable for the horse. I now put the fly mask under the muzzle to prevent rubbing, and worry that the mask may interfere more with her eyes.

Nicely made
I just tried this on my horse for the first time yesterday. I will say the product is very nicely made. My horses are on pasture and the grass is a mixture of long and short grasses. I watched my horse try to get grass from it and it appeared that she wasn't getting any, she kept walking towards me as if to say help me to get some food. I'm not sure if this product is made to accomodate longer grass, so I left a message with the manufacturer of the product and hope to find out more in the next few days. My mare foundered 2 years ago and ended up in the hospital for 11 days and I'm scared to death of it happening again and really need to keep her weight down. I would like her to be out on pasture with her 3 other pasture mates. I am hoping that in time she will learn how to get the grass into the eating hole. I felt so bad for her because she just didn't seem to know what to do with the muzzle. My mare can be quite a stinker and I was surprised that she kept the muzzle on for the time that they were out on the pasture. I also watched a you-tube clip of 3 horses using the Tough 1 muzzle and they were doing just great but the grass was very short and easy for them to get too. I'm truly hoping she'll figure out how to use the nicely made product. Will keep others posted as to her progress on using the muzzle.

Durable but not pony proof
I like this brand of muzzle because of the easy breathe feature as well as the extra straps across the nose. My pony is the king of removing his muzzle and he has a hard time getting this one off. I don't like how it doesn't come with a throat snap. The velcro is way too weak for my pony and he had it undone in about a half hour! I have reinforced many of the attachment points with zip ties and they are holding up well. Just wish they offered in a cob size since the pony size is for small ponies and I had to get the horse size and modify it a lot to fit my 13 hand pony. Overall I do like the product and it is helping with his weight management.

Grazing muzzle
I have used this brand of muzzle on my pony and liked it very much, although it did not have the V-straps that I feel would have kept it on her as she was clever in getting it off when she tired of it preventing her gobbling grass. I ordered the horse size for my quarter horse since the pony size is just too snug for her. However, the horse size is WAY too big for her small muzzle. It would be helpful to include the sizes in inches(as I found in some subsequent comments) and then I would have known the next size up would have been TOO big. Tough-1 really needs to make a cob size because I would certainly buy it. Unfortunately, I will be returning this never-even-tried-on muzzle. I gave it an overall 4 rating because of the sizing.

Light weight muzzle
I am pleased with this muzzle: lighter weight than most, good breathing holes and he has only managed to get it off once. It may run just a little small but it is not rubbing his face as others have.

Works great! Durable!
I bought this a few weeks ago and it's holding up great! Fits really well and is really adjustable. I was skeptical about the velcro but has not ever came undone. It has been rubbed off once but other than that it's stayed on.

I've had other ones, and this muzzle is the best. once you get it adjusted, it's easy to put on and the horse has plenty of breathing room and a nice shaped space for a little bit of grazing.

great fit
This is the second muzzle I purchased this season and I'm very happy I did. The "eating hole" on this muzzle is the perfect size, I previously had troubles with my horse not being able to get food through. The padding on the straps is durable and helping prevent rubs. My horse has gotten a rub on his nose, but with routine checking for rubs and fit this isn't a huge problem. The extra straps make it more secure for the horse, especially Houdinis!

Pony Grazing Muzzle
I like this but would suggest asking for measurements before you buy. I bought it for my 12.1 Haflinger pony and it barely goes small enough. If you have a refined pony it will be to big.

Effective; minimal rubbing.
I've been using this for several weeks as the grass in my area has been very rich. At first my gelding figured out how to get it off (he's a Houdini) but after I got it adjusted properly, it has stayed put. I like the more open nostril area and how lightweight the muzzle is. It's effectively slowed him down, doesn't impede his water consumption and aside from some minimal rubbing when he had to wear it full time for a few days in a new pasture, it hasn't caused him any problems. It's very adjustable and I'm guessing I'll get a full season of use out of it before the velcro starts to wear.

easy and fits
Bought this for a pony who lives on air but needs turnout time. To keep her from becoming fat or foundering on the spring Kentucky grass we opted for a muzzle. she has yet to get it off, so it must be comfortable and she doesn't seem to sweat. my only concern is her drinking, she has yet to figure out how to get water from my time watching her, but is easy enough to get all the grass she wants. Maybe the grass supplies enough water she doesn't need the buckets of water.... or she just prefers the water inside the barn,,,, she is a pony....

It does rub the nose but it works.
Pros: it stays on, the design seems to keep the usual muzzle-related chin rubs from happening, seems sturdy so far (only used one month as of now).
Cons: those little nose straps do rub the fur off your horse's face. There is no chin clip, just velcro! That could get difficult later.
Overall: looking forward to future designs but glad I bought this one. It's working and it's staying on.

I bought this a month ago as I have a Quarter Horse that was getting a little too round this Summer. I have a Rocky Mountain horse that remained fit. The mask has made MINOR rubs in the first week and as I was able to tweak the adjustments he has a perfect fit! It is padded, with multiple adjustments. I was a little fearful of the Velcro not releasing if he was hung up, but it will release under pressure without breaking. He has only managed to get it off one time with a little help from his partner in crime, the Rocky. I taught the QH to willingly take the mask by putting a mint in the bottom for the first few days. Only ONE warning...be prepared to get an occasional dirty look from the wearer from time to time while out in the pasture!

Nice but!
Nice design and comfy for the horse. Structure is good to allow the horse to breath better than most muzzles. But the head strap connects with Velcro vs a snap that wears better over the long haul. Velcro gets grass and dirt stuck in it over time from rolling and regular wear. Plus doesn't hold up well to rubbing, also takes more time to put on vs a regular snap system.. Too bad they used Velcro would of been a great product it was not for that short coming. I'm returning mine.

This grazing muzzle is superior!
My horses have been using tough 1 easy breath grazing muzzles for a year. Have used the basket only style (add your own halter), and now the Deluxe Easy Breath V model. I couldn't be happier with the fit and user friendly styling. My horses switched from wearing there leather halters w/attachable muzzle style, to this Deluxe Model with absolutely no breaking in time, they wear them for hours daily without any rubs or adverse effects.

This is my second Tough One Easy Breathe muzzle. I really like the design with the larger holes in the nose area, and the slightly larger, rectangular hole for grazing. Fits my QH well. This new one has a velcro fastening on the throat latch vs the snap on the first one. I haven't used this one yet so am anxious to see how that works. Intuitively snap seems quicker but will give it a try. The basket shape works well for my horse and I don't think it is quite as deep as some other brands which is nice. Recommended.
