Wonderful training aid
Easy to use, and definitely helps the horse learn to stretch down. I will say if you have a long necked horse, or something over 16.2, I would get the biggest size. The horse size is almost too short for my 16.1 TB

Too short for my mare
Wish this came in size options - this was much too short for my mare (16.2hh). Especially for a training aid that should be "worked up to", there needs to be additional size options added.

Broke before I even had the chance to use it :(
I was using a friends neck stretcher that was basically identical to this one when I decided to buy my own. I got the stretcher and went to the barn to try it out the same night, went to snap it on the D ring on my girth and it broke right there. Didn’t even get a chance to use it once. SP refunded me of course but still would’ve liked to use this tool...... now I’m looking for one with metal snaps.

Cheap Plastic Snaps
One of the snaps broke on this item when I was taking it off my horse after only one use. The snaps are made of a cheap plastic. I am assuming the brittle plastic broke due to the cold weather.

Broke the first time
I absolutely loved it the first time I used it, but as soon as I went to take it off the plastic on the snap broke. Managed to cut it off and tie another metal snap to the elastic and I still use that but its still not worth it.

Very Happy
I bought this for my TB mare who's still pretty green. I've used it lightly while lunging before our rides and it definitely encourages her to stretch down and use herself nicely. I leave it as loose as it can go, and I agree with some other reviewers that it seemed a little tight brand new, even for her 15.2 hand self (so she's no giant). I will say that caution should be used...my mare is a little claustrophobic and even very loose this caused her a little concern the first few minutes. Once she realized that she still could raise her head she was happy and moved forward nicely.

Training aid that works
I borrowed this neck stretcher from my trainer and decided to get my own. After 2 weeks of flat work in the stretcher, my mare is already showing better head placement and is more relaxed. For longevity purposes, it really needs metal hooks as opposed to plastic ones. I’ll have to see how long the plastic ones last. Overall for the price, I’m pleased with the purchase.

Solved my problem!
The NECK STRETCHER has helped my 4 year old ANDALUSIAN to reach for his bit and push from his hind legs in a very gentle and gradual way. I am so happy with the amazing results we have obtained. The adjustments to the tension are easily made and
can be done in small increments. My horse has improved his collection and his
balance since using the NECK STRETCHER, I recommend it highly!

Does Exactly What I need it to Do
After 4 years of riding my horse "correctly" to try and encourage him to stretch down, I was frustrated. My horse is an OTTB with lots of baggage. There was no convincing him that working with his head in a more neutral position was in any way more comfortable. My trainer had me use this device on him, and after a month of intermittent use, my horse is moving better than he ever has in his life. It literally took a gentle device that encouraged him to stretch his head down, to convince him that it was a better way to use his body. I'm impressed and recommend this product in educated hands for a horse that you cannot otherwise convince.

It really encouraged neck stretching
I tried sliding side reins on my OTTB, usually they work great but this horse would bring his head in and up to avoid the contact. With the neck stretcher he reaches his neck down and out, and softens through his back. I also like that I can adjust it without getting off.

Simple and Perfect!
Simple and straightforward design. Have been using it on a wide range of horses and it is long enough to start on a green horse or a bigger horse. Still holding up well after a couple weeks of regular use.

Effective, but a little flimsy.
Works just as advertised and is very adjustable. However, the clip at the top that is supposed to maintain the length does not hold up forever. I now have to check my mare mid-lunge to make sure she isn't stretching one side more than the other (and she typically does after a while, but gives me "the look" so I know to stop her and readjust). It has a lot of give in the elastic, which I know she appreciates if she takes a misstep and needs her head to balance. Quick and easy to attach, so I appreciate that when I have time constraints. Overall, I give it a 4/5.

Best Tool EVER
I bought this on the advise of my trainer to get my OTTB to learn to carry herself and not rest in my hands. She used to look rein lame at the trot and this tool has made a world of difference. She is finally developing the muscles to carry herself instead of leaning on men.

Handy tool
This is a good, gentle tool to remind my rather stubborn boy that he should lift the top of his neck, rather than lead with his chest. Now that he knows what it is, he hardly comes in contact with it. I use it every few rides. Very pleased.

Have only been using this product a month and the little plastic clip has broken so it is unusable. I used it a lot, but didn't abuse it. Would have preferred a metal clip.

We Love It!
I bought this product to try and introduce my horse to side reins, but seeing the way he has reacted with this I think I might just stick with it! Rio was inconsistent with his head and I felt like I was beginning to lose control of what he did with his head carriage. I put this on and he was great, he reminded himself on what he is suppose to be doing and I didn't wear his mouth out in the least. I am not concerned with the plastic clips, I actually feel more safe with them.
