Disappointing!
I bought 3 of these for my boys. They do not lay right and shift to one side. The belly strap came off the first time one of the horses rolled and the inside is coming apart after a month. The neck cover strap does not stay connected and the neck cover slides down. The Velcro on the cover gets caught and causes snagging and small holes in the fabrics. And the fabric is not very breathable. My horses come in drenched in sweat even on cooler days.

Fit nice but lasted less than a month.
I bought this fly sheet a month ago and unfortunately it already ripped almost completely in half. The fit was great and kept the flies off while it lasted. It washed up pretty nicely. But less than 6hrs after I put it back on her one day, she was discovered with the second half hanging down by her feet.

The fly sheet is cute but I ordered a size up based on other reviews and it was still tight in the chest. I bought one for each horse (2) and my horses are pretty easy on their blankets, one of them ripped 2 days into wearing it. One of the belly straps ripped completely off of the blanket. The fly sheet that is still intact isn’t breathable enough and my horse got sweaty underneath just standing in her paddock (it was 80 degrees outside). Will be switching back to the fly sheets I used to use that are pricier, you get what you pay for I guess!

VERY POOR QUALITY
Do not waste your money! I used it for only a WEEK and it has already ripped! I would’ve been happy if it would have just lasted the summer but it didn’t even last a WEEK! Very poor quality…. I’m very disappointed in Smartpak for selling such a cheap product.

I SO wanted this fly sheet to work ...
Oh, I wanted this sheet to work! The features are really wonderful, but it just DID NOT fit my gelding. The neck hole seemed huge, it slid back behind his wither and pinched at the chest/shoulders. The fabric was lovely, the straps and velcro and even an elastic TAIL flap -- such quality. I ordered an 81, which is the same size as his Smartpak Ultimate Sheet, which fits perfectly, but the fly sheet just was not the same fit.

Fun Color but a bit snug in the shoulders
I love the fun floral pattern and my horse is fly free. However, the sheet is a bit snug on the shoulders for her (QH mare), so probably wouldn't fit most wider bodied horses. The 75 is a hair long on her, so I wouldn't be able to go up a size for more shoulder room.

Excellent Sheet
So far this is a great fly sheet. It fit well and seems to be cool for my horse in our hot Alabama summers.. Hopefully it lasts longer than a month. The fabric looks like it should hold up well for a lighter type fly sheet

Nice but....
It lasted less than a month for us. My mare is hard on front closures and busts through this type. Otherwise, it has held up well. I think for us it will be worth it to splurge on the more expensive brand-name flysheets.

I bought two of these for my horse so he can have one while the other is being washed. He wears these 24/7 in the summer. He goes out in a private paddock but can play over the fence with his neighbors. He likes to roll inside and out. This is a very pretty fly sheet with soft lightweight mesh, and my it doesn’t rub my horse. It also somehow keeps him reasonably clean.

So disappointed
This fly sheet was cute as can be on our boy, but was ripped in several places after only a week of use. I let my daughter pick out the fly sheet because it’s her first pony, but was worried the lower price meant lower quality and I was unfortunately right. What a waste of money :(

Tears easilu
I love the look of this and it fits my mare well, but she has to be in it due to severe bug allergies. Within 2 weeks she tore a huge hole in the shoulder. We’ve never had a blanket tear before, so this surprised me.

Not Durable At All
My 23 year old retired mare is on the second of these in two weeks- both have ripped on the first and third wear. She is typically not hard on her blankets. The damage appears to be due to normal rolling. Disappointing, but SP made it right. Buyer beware of this sheet, though.

Fits true to size, is relatively light weight and soft. Live that it has a belly band and long tail flap to protect the sensitive spots. So far has held up well but my mare is not rough on blankets

Lasted a week on an old man
This is lightweight but just simply not durable at all. My 24 year old Arabian is turned out with one other horse and she ignores him so no play between them. He came in one morning with it looking like this. There goes a lot of money.

Made it almost two months
I had hopes this would work. No such luck. The Velcro in front doesn't hold, and without adjustable straps in front, there's no way to adapt the fit. My horse is by himself, and within a couple of weeks the sheet had small tears, and now they are large rips.

I have 2 of the $160 weather beeta fly sheets. Compared to those this smartpak one is a fabulous deal. Really nice quality and not so long. The longer ones I had were getting ripped at the front side. Fit is true to size.

Super Bummed!
I was so bummed out & disappointed! This fly sheet fit well, and it could not have been cuter. Great coverage, absolutely wonderful color design, tail flap coverage would be great for a horse that is sensitive to flies or a horse with almost no tail like an Appaloosa. I was really excited about this product! It looks super cute on my mare. She’s 26 with navicular, & she doesn’t move very fast/much. So she isn’t very hard on her fly sheets at all. But this one got destroyed in less than a week. :( She has had much cheaper fly sheets in the past that have lasted her a lot longer. The last one I bought her was used for two summers in a row, and it’s still in better shape than the Smartpak one is now after less than a week of wear. (and that one was $20 cheaper) It was so cute, I was so hopeful. But I’m so disappointed!

Best value fly sheet ever
I am not a big fan of fly sheets for all the reasons other reviewers have discussed at length. I bought one of these for a pony with a severe allergy to insect bites as a last ditch effort to try to keep her hair on this summer. I was so impressed that I bought 2 more & the difference in my ponies is pretty astonishing. So far they have been amazing protection from deer flies, mosquitoes, black flies, no-see-ums, etc. So far, manes & tails intact & the long drapes around the legs have protected their bellies. The ponies have rolled, rubbed, scratched each other, & moved around as always. The sheets have stayed in place & so far have shown no rips. And when I take them off in the stalls in the morning, the ponies are calm & notching themselves to pieces. Yes, the sheets pill, yes, they stretch, there is a gap at the chest, & they are definitely showing signs of wear, but if they make it through this one season they will have b been the best investment I could have made in my ponies' health & comfort. AND they're made from recycled materials! Well done! We need more of this consciousness! Thanks.

Simply not durable enough
I really wanted to love this - Smartpak gear is usually fantastic and every other blanket my horse has is Smartpak. This fit well, looked nice, and did it's job, but I've had it for a month and it is already significantly ripped. Some of it is ripping of the mesh from my horse being a horse, but what concerns me more is the mesh ripping around the fittings on the chest and neck. My horse is not tough on his blankets; his previous fly sheet (a Kensington) has lasted two seasons and is not ripped, but I wanted to upgrade to something with a neck.

Love it! Just a little long
I ordered a 75 for my smaller ottb mare who normally always fits a 75 but this one is just slightly too long and collects a large amount of poop stains in the tail region. But overall a wonderful fly sheet and am happy with it! Not hot at all!!!

Great fly sheet but does run a tad large
I have been using this fly sheet for a couple weeks and it has held up great. So far it isn't too hot for my horse (beginning of humid KY summer) but he does only go out at night. I ordered an 81" for my 16.3h TB gelding, which is what he usually wears, but this sheet is a little big on him and the tail flap tends to drag the rest of the blanket back and gets a bit tight on his chest. Other than that slight issue it's a good quality fly sheet and I love the fact that it is made of out earth friendly materials!

I bought this and have been using for about a month. the fabric is breathable, but tears easily for those rough players. It also shifts dramatically to one side no matter how I rig it. Had another SmartPak flysheet for my other guy and it was much better.

Looks great but pulls back tight
This sheet looks and feels great. When I put it on it appeared to fit well, but as she was out walking around in pasture it would pull back tight on her and then she would act like she couldn’t put her head down to eat. It would also be full of static. I tried it a few times spraying conditioner on her before the fly sheet but it would still pull back tight and be full of static.

I bought this fly sheet because it's Earth friendly. So lightweight and easy to get on and off my 17.1 Warmblood. It'll be a cinch to wash, too. I bought two of them to cycle through the Summer.
