Great fit
I really like the shires face mask. It fits well and the sheepskin fleece on the inside around the ears is a nice touch. Also the eye part is very fine so keeps gnats away as well.

Great fly mask
This is a very secure mask that keeps the bugs out, but stays away from the eyes. It has plenty of eye room under the mask. My mare likes it. The only draw back is it has to be hand washed. I scrub mine with a brush with out a problem.

Made with the Horse in Mind
Just bought this a couple days ago and I already love this fly mask over all the others I've tried! I like that it has fleece lining where the brow band would be, and the overall thought put into it. (ie. wo Velcro straps for customization, elastic where the throat latch is, and the mesh seems to be more see through than others)
I can't say much of the durability yet, but if it doesn't last, I'll update my review.

Runs large
I ordered a full because of the measurements listed in the ad. I measured carefully and when the full came it it was still too large. I would have reordered and gotten the cobb size but it is sold off. I have a Rocky Mountain gelding that apparently has a long slender head. Great product, looks well made.

Fits all of my horses!
I love the elastic around the neck area--it is designed to take up the slack around the neck instead of leaving gaps that can get caught on so many things, but is not tight at all. The Velcro tabs are also long enough to fit all sized heads. I got the Full size for my Morgan (smaller head) and Appendix (larger head) and the XL for my 17H Quarter Horse--he has a lot of room, but the Full is just a little snug. I tried to order the Cobb size for my small (14.3H Quarter horse, but they were out. The Full is too big for her. Wish I could have ordered the blue, but the orange is still pretty. Great for hunting season!!!

Like better than Cashel
I like the 2 Velcro straps that let you have some flexibility in adjusting. Have used it about 2 weeks and is holding up very well. The fleece around the brow helps keep the mask off the face. Fits my horse better than Cashel as Cashel tends to rub her under the jaw.

Soft and comfy for the old man
I've only had this a short time, but I love the soft ears and the clear eye screen. It's less stiff and generally softer than any mask I've tried. So far, so good with durability. SmartPak only had construction orange available in his size, but I guess it'll be easier to find if he loses it in the field :)

Did not fit my horse
This mask did not fit my Morgan well. My horse has large eyes and although this is a well-made mask, it almost immediately was touching his eyes. I can't recommend this for horses with larger eyes or the traditional Morgan face with wider set eyes.
Outside of the eye rubbing issue, the sizing seemed pretty accurate. If it would have stayed out of his eyes, I think we would have kept this one.
I can't review it's durability. My horse had it on for less than a minute. It does appear to be a well-made mask and the fleece along the inside is good quality.

Love this mask!
My horses like this mask & so do I. The mesh is very fine and dark, which cuts the sun without reducing vision. The fleece along the inside makes it comfortable. One mask usually lasts all season.

This is the only fly mask that doesn't give my horses rubs on their chin. Holds up well compared to most masks- one of my horses is using his for the second year in a row (and in buggy SC it gets used and abused a lot!).

Cons: Fit not ideal for my horse - he has a finer jaw line. I could see this fitting a QH well. Browline is fleece lined which is not suited for our tropical climate.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the darts at the eyes so the mask does not end up in their eyes as many do over time. This is a perfect design. Although I have not had mine long many of the horses at the barn have it and all the owners love this one best of all. It's a YES for me!

light, stays on nicely
I well fitting fly mask that stays on well. The elastic on the straps and having two straps to adjust helps to shape it to your horse's face so it stays on better than others I have tried. I think it runs a little large, which was perfect for me. It has nice padding on the inside of the seams.

Excellent for Florida
In Florida we've had so much rain that the gnats have descended in droves to compound the fly problem. This particular mask is built to keep the mesh out of my horse's eye lashes and to give his ears plenty of room. I've always kept fly masks on horses during the summer, and this mask is THE best design yet. An added bonus is the range of sizes. I usually have to stitch up masks to make them fit; this mask comes in a cob size.
