Truly waterproof and high quality too
Tired of turnouts that don't keep your equine friend dry? I tried just about every brand, and finally found the Rhino. Instead of a coating on the outside of the sheet that wears or washes off, the Rhino has a membrane underneath that keeps rain out, but still breathes. The Smartpak Rhino is high quality and fits great. Let it rain!

Super Blanket!
Horseware blankets are soooooo expensive. This version is very reasonably priced! I love all it's features: high neck (no need for a neck rug), wonderful front close system with one snap hook, never causes shoulder rubs, ample tail flap, great durability. I own a sheet and now a medium in this blanket for a 15hh Connemara. The fit is fantastic and the sheet held up without any problems last winter. I used another brand blanket for his medium last year - the lining tore in many places :-( Looking forward to several year use from this medium :-)

Great fit
I have a very Thoroughbred-type built AQHA mare who loves to shift her blanket around and give herself rubs.. This blanket even without legs straps that cross between (This blanket has a Single style strap) it has yet to rub! Easy to brush dirt off of and my mare hasn't been able to rip it to shreds! Highly reccommend.

LOVE This Blanket!
Have now used this blanket for two and half winters and it has held up well for my gelding who loves to play! I love the high neck and the easy snap closure on the front. The navy/tan looks great on my dark bay!

Great Blanket!
This is a really nice, heavy, high quality blanket that fits my horse great. He had developed bad shoulder rubs as he lives outside and wears a blanket 24/7. I bought him this blanket because it was warmer, but I am even more happy about the fit as his rubs have totally grown hair back and are now non existent and this happened while wearing this blanket constantly as well! He is a 15 hand QH with high withers and a long back and the size 72 is what I went with. Slightly too big, but NO rubs on mane, shoulders or withers and I can fit a sheet or mid weight blanket underneath if I need to.

Fits my 32 yr old aged Mare great!
The 78" fits perfectly, true to size. I originally bought the size smaller after reading the reviews but had to return it because it was too small. Should have just stuck with the 78" to begin with! My Mare 32 yrs old, 15.2H, high withered and narrow. She looks great for her age but due to Arthritis, has a difficult time getting up when she rolls or lays down. I needed to find a blanket with no leg straps for her to get caught in. Yes the tail strap might get dirty, but it hold the blanket in place. Love it. Now I don't have to worry so much! Going to replace my medium weight blanket with one of these as well.

fits perfect
The fabric feels a little less rugged than the traditional rambo but with $100. less than the traditional rambo I expected it to be different. Hardware is the same as top of the line rambo and of course fit doesn't shift around like other brands.

Nice blanket!
I purchased the medium weight for my mare and for the most part I am happy with it. My only complaints are it snagged shortly after purchasing (my mare is pretty quiet in the field with her pasture mates and doesn't intentionally rub up against fences with blankets on) and it bunches in her chest area. The bunching could be because she is smaller in the chest and shoulder area for a QH. Nonetheless, I hoped it would have an adjustable chest to accommodate for horses with similar size differences.

Lovely!
I bought this smartpak wug with no fill since I already liked my other medium weight Rhino Wug. Its quite light, even for a sheet. My horse was clipped but has grown at least half of it back, and this sheet has been perfect for our typical California bay area winter nights in the low 40s and high 30s. I love the fit. My horse is a large warmblood, wears an 84 big fella in Schneiders, and his medium weight wug is an 81. This sheet in 81 seems to fit a little looser, which I like. I can't speak for durability, have only used it for a week so far.

Seems to be a great winter blanket
I bought 2 of these blankets for my horses about 1 1/2 months ago, and they are holding up very well so far. The fit is good on both horses (one is a typical WB and the other is a TB/Andalusian) and it keeps them very warm and dry here in MT. The only thing I would change is the one strap under the tail, rather than two that would go between the hind legs. The one strap isn't a great design since it tends to gather manure on it and the clip. Other than that, I like the blanket a lot.

Cozy warm pony
Bought this 3 weeks ago for my daughters large pony. It is fluffier than I'd anticipated (which is a plus to me). Ordered the 200G (medium) fill and it's great for damp/cold Seattle winters. The clasps are easy to attach/detach & I am please with the water repellency & fit (no unnecessary seams). Was unsure if I should upgrade to a Rambo, but saved a bit of money and I am happy to say the quality is wonderful. Great purchase.

Good for the price
I like this blanket, but one belly strap has already came off and although it is "waterproof" if it's real wet it gets clammy inside. If you want a better turnout, pay more for a better one.

Nice quality turnout but a bit tight in shoulders.
I purchased this for my gelding who usually wears a 78 and is built kind of deep through his shoulders and chest (he is 16.2h). It was too snug for him. Turns out this fits my mare really well (she also who also wears a 78 but she is smaller overall, 16h) . I really like the high neck of the wug and this is a good quality blanket.

Love the fit
I bought the heavy weight last year for my Haflinger and am so happy with it!. I always had problems with other blankets rubbing and shifting. I recently bought the medium weight, and it was an added bonus that there was a second color choice this year so I can tell the blankets apart by color. Great quality blankets!

it's really waterproof!
Second Rhino wug I've purchased this year. Bought one for my horse as a trial, and it performed so well I bought another for my daughter's horse. The two clowns prefer to stand outside in prolonged, driving rain and even in hailstones. The sheets look soaking wet on top, but dry in minutes after every downpour, and both horses have been dry as a bone underneath. Over the years, I've spent a lot on "waterproof" sheets of every brand you can think of, but none of them performed like the Rhinos. Lightweight, excellent fit with no rubbing, durable, and high quality. Good investments!

Wonderful blanket!
I am very happy with this blanket. It fits true to size and is not tight anywhere on my 16H quarter horse cross mare. It appears very well made and Warm. She seems very happy in it and the purple green blue color is very pretty on a grey.

beautiful quality, fits my hard-to-fit mare
one complaint I have is that I wish it had an interior name label to help the grooms at the stable. The other is that it did not have the 400 gram weight as advertised

Love it, but bad cold hasn't arrived yet to use!
From experience with Rhino rugs it is quality as expected. In previous winters I have layered and dealt with static, fleece underneath and binding. I bought this heavy weight to avoid that and am looking forward to using it.

Excellent value
This turnout performed very well in 2+ seasons of heavy use with a mare loves to roll. It is now my back-up turnout but it is still waterproof and in great shape. The Wug design is a good choice for a big-shouldered, high withered horse. This is a high value alternative to the Horseware Ireland turnout (which I've also purchased).

Best Blanket I've Ever Bought!
I bought this blanket about a month ago in my search to find a blanket that fits my TB mare. I've tried SO many different blankets on her, and every single one seemed to give her rubs. Now I've finally found the blanket that fits her perfectly! It doesn't give her rubs and it leaves her coat looking shiny. The blanket is very warm and seems to be holding up to the elements pretty well besides a bit of wear in the tail flap. The colors are great also! Overall, the best blanket I've ever bought!

Classy and well made
I replaced some old blankets for my mustang pony, and i am pleased by this purchase! Well made, high neck protects his mane. Only mild misfit is rump area is a little too big for him, but he is a little guy.

Love Rhino Wug's
I love that the wug's are so easy to put on and take off. Everything is done from the left side. My horses take a 72 and an 84 (Mutt and Jeff). The drop on the 72 is perfect on a narrow horse. I ordered the 84 for my 16.2 horse that measures 81-82. He is really broad, chest and butt. The drop on his could be a little longer.
I have a Rhino Wug that is at least 5 years old. It is patched in a few places, and a little faded from the sun, but still usable.
Only suggestion I have for improvement would be to use swivel buckles on the V front.

Best turnout so far.
My Morgan soulmate just took his new Rhino for its first test run in a wet and windy storm, and it performed just like we hoped. We especially love three unique features of this turnout: 1. the waterproof/breathable membrane is between the durable exterior and the nylon lining, so it won't wear off; 2. the high neck prevents pressure in front of the withers; 3. the sheet is lighter weight and fits well, so it "floats" above his back, allowing his haircoat to insulate more naturally, and it's easier to take on and off. Actually, we appreciate one more feature: the elastic strap under the tail flap. Like most Horseware sheets, there is a butt strap instead of leg straps, but it tends to collect manure on some horses. I removed that strap and fed his tail through the elastic under the tail flap, and the sheet stayed in place, even after rolling, bucking, and his other shenanigans.

Perfect fit
This quality product fits my horse perfectly. It's just the right thickness for colder weather, and with a sheet underneath can be used for the bitterly cold weather we experience in northwest Indiana.
